Lovely hotel, fantastic staff, great stay for a few days away for work. Lovely breakfast, and perfect location.

Great location, very close to beach and shopping centre. Free parking and breakfast included in price was fantastic, coffee was excellent. Staff were amazing, very accommodating and friendly. Room was a good size with all amenities, lovely bathroom. Great kid's room downstairs filled with books, games and toys which my grandson loved and a keyboard, amazing :) Stephen the new owner was extremely accommodating, nothing too much trouble and of course CK his doggy who is amazing with kids and so cuddly. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel next year :)

I travelled with my mum and two young children aged 8 and 6. First, to say the host and staff were so welcoming from the moment we arrived to our departure. When we arrived, we were allowed to rest in the family room and the kids to play during the check-in process. The room was very comfortable for us all. There was enough space in the family room that we did not feel like we were on top of each other. My favourite part of the room was the en-suite. It had both a bath and a separate shower was beautifully decorated. The private parking came in very handy, and access to the car park was useful. The breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked hot meal, cereal on tap, and choice of hot and cold beverage even my picky eaters had a good breakfast each day. This was my first time in Eastbourne, and we all really enjoyed it, we took the tour bus around Eastbourne, which was great - had the most amazing views. Even though it was a pebble beach, the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We would not only come back to Eastbourne again, we would definitely come back to the Sheldon B&B again. We wish Steve, his family and staff the best of luck with their business and thank them for accommodating us all.

The only issue for us was the window in our room had problems closing - we think it may have been broken and in need of attention. Also there was dirt on the window seal. Also housekeeping did not clean our room during our stay. The first night we arrived was quite cold and the heating could not be turned on, however the host was so gracious and gave all four of us an extra duvet each and we were fine with that.

Welcoming. Room was spacious, light, airy, quiet and clean. Lovely comfortable bed and bedding. Fresh quality towels…. just right. Staff were all friendly and naturally cheerful. Good breakfast…. I had a nicely presented omelette. Un-rushed and roomy dining room. Parking…. more than appears. Proximity to prom, beach, cafes & restaurants… easy walk. The comfort of their visitors was clearly a priority to the owners and all the preparations were well made and care shown.

With the new (that very day) owners we feel there will be improvements and refinements made to any little issues. We had none. A larger brighter bathroom would have been enjoyed more but minor as the room was perfect.

i hope the new owner of the B+b reads this i just stayed the night in room 27 due to train strikes and could not get home 1- the kettle is to big for the sink or is the sink to small for the kettle try filling it ? 2-can you re scan the sky box as you only get a small number of channels 3-the wardrobe door opens the wrong way try getting the ironing board out ? 3-no tea mugs at breakfast only small coffee cup no good for tea 4-blinds in the room also so needs curtains to much light in the morning the rest fine ok for one night

The location was excellent for my requirements, particularly with the free parking. The street outside was quiet at night. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast offering was very good with a wide variety of cereals along with the obligatory Full English.

The rear parking could do with some lighting. I slowly reversed my car into a low wall a few feet in front of the rear wall to the property without realising it was there, scratching the back of my car. Owners didn't allow me to park my car before check-in time. This would have saved me a parking fee.

Steve & Judith (and CK!) were so lovely & welcoming. They said they’d only been running the hotel for 3 months after a change of lifestyle but they seem born to do it. Room was really comfortable & the breakfasts were amazing. Location is perfect - close to everything and the stash of beach equipment you can borrow is an excellent idea

There was nothing to dislike - maybe bigger bath towels but that’s being very picky.

lovely relaxed atmosphere ,hosts were very friendly, helpful.Loved the dog and availability of coffee,tea milk etc. Waitress exceptionally polite and friendly ,always smiling, likewise other staff very kind and helpful.Great room with huge window we could leave open in the heat,great location a few minutes from beach and restaurants. The breakfast was perfectly cooked every day.

Nothing negative to say

Great location for exploring central Eastbourne and the beach, found it really easily and perfect handy free parking. The friendliest, most helpful and welcoming staff I’ve come across! So many thoughtful and little touches that go above and beyond what you’d expect for the bargain price. The enthusiastic four-legged welcome from CK was a bonus!

The people running it were really nice and friendly. The room was lovely, spacious and warm. Free parking was a welcome bonus. The location was great, near the beach, good walking, good restaurants, lovely deli and good convenience store.

The shower was tiny. As a 6ft person the shower head hit my head and the shower enclosure was not at all large. The other major problem was it felt more like booking a room through Airbnb with no access to facilities. Bins not emptied over 3 nights, had to ask for more toilet roll and only 4 tea bags for 2 people for 3 nights. We would stay again but it maybe that off season things are done differently.
