The location is amazing, five minutes walking from the fabulous beach, restaurants, bars, farmacy, etc. the hotel is pretty cute and and it seems newly renovated. The staff is friendly and always ready to help with everything, we also got a room upgrade for free. Pretty nice size room with coffe/kettle/water and a nice balcony with pool view. Breakfast super tasty and variegated with the possibility to get also freshly cooked bacon and eggs. We didn't use the pool but it seems nice in size and pretty clean, also the pool area overall is nice looking and it seems pretty relaxing

We had a really nice staying, nothing we really didn't like. Maybe if i have to be picky it was a shame the hotel restaurant wasn't open yet (I believe because it wasn't high season and other facilities in the area will open the first of June, but we didn't ask) but for sure it's not influencing our stay

Beautiful place ,a small and intimate hotel and we loved its charm. Pool was so nice to swim in and the pool area so chilled. The staff here are so helpful and so friendly and tended to our every need. The hotel rooms were very clean and our room was cleaned and maintained throughout our stay. The aircon was great and showers were good too .Would definitely go back to this place if we are to go back to Menorca

If I have any criticism of this hotel it would be it’s restaurant . We felt it did let this place down a little but it had to most amazing seaview probably the best in town but that was about it.In comparison to the rest of the town it was abit over priced and the food was very average. The waitress were very friendly and helpful but it seemed they were untrained.

Quiet pool, nice room, friendly staff, good location. Nice place. We had a lovely evening meal, the view was amazing & the food was lovely. Overall a good stay, would definitely go back.

Not really that we didn’t like it, but very rigid on checking in. We were 1 hour 10 minutes earlier & there was just no flexibility at all. Not even an offer to store luggage. So we were lucky we had hired a car to keep it in. They don’t serve lunch it was 30 degrees so we had to walk out & find somewhere to eat. My own fault really, but I thought all rooms looked over the pool & our small balcony looked along the street so wasn’t the best view. Just some advice, if you have white in your swim wear this pool turns the white yellow! So my new black & white stripe bikini that was £38 was ruined.

The view from the patio is amazing! I loved having my morning coffee (which was delicious), overlooking Cala ‘n Porter beach. A lovely assortment at breakfast with freshly cooked eggs made to order. Room and bathroom was a little on the small side, but very comfy and has a small fridge to keep water etc cool. The pool was lovely for an afternoon dip after a day at the beach. Lots of really good restaurants close by. The staff were very accommodating, ordering us taxis whenever we needed one (we didn’t rent a car).

There are a lot of steps to get down (and back up) to the beach. 181 of them, to be exact. We looked at them as an opportunity to work off some of the paellas we had eaten, but they might be difficult for some.

The hotel was quirky and charming. The staff were lovely - very helpful and friendly. The room was small, but had a fantastic view and was clean and functional. Very conveniently located for all the facilities of the town, within walking g distance, but with the best view of the bay and beach.

Breakfast, although nice, was a little limited. Rather than sitting by the pool, would have much preferred to be able to sit at the tables used for dinner, overlooking the bay.This would have been a fabulous start to the day.

Brilliant attentive staff, always smiling and friendly ready to help with any requests. Beautiful location for dinner in their restaurant overlooking beach. 5-10 min walk down steps to beach. Relaxing, quiet pool area with bar service for drinks.

Offered freshly cooked eggs, bacon etc on first day but not thereafter. Not sure if expectation was for us to go to bar to ask directly or if we were just forgotten during waitress service at breakfast. It wasn’t a problem though as the food in buffet selection was more than enough!

The friendliness & warmth shown by all the staff is what makes it such a special little hotel. We were treated almost like family. Nothing was too much trouble for them, & they were always willing to provide help & advice with places to visit & things to do. In a larger hotel this would rarely happen. The room was clean. Breakfasts were good. The pool never too busy. A good restaurant for evening meals. Big thanks go to Roberto, Carmen & all their team!

Very friendly and attentive staff that made us feel welcome and looked after, wonderful pool, fantastic restaurant, and stunning views of the beach/sunset, and great location near all the local points of interest! The rooms and general premises were very clean as well. Thank you Sirena, Roberto, and team! :)

Breakfast was adequate (and included with the room which was great) but would have liked a bit more choice as well as the option of a proper lunch at the hotel given how fantastic the attached restaurant was for dinner. However, the staff always provided all that was needed, kindly making salads/sandwiches for lunch to have by the pool if needed, which was much appreciated.

Family run, very friendly staff and spotlessly clean hotel. Very good choices for breakfast and restaurant offered a good choice for dinner. Great views from the terrace and quiet pool area. A comfortable place to relax and close to the beach . Would definitely stay at Sa Barrera again.

The hotel was well located, sitting at the top of the hill overlooking the bay and the views from our room (208) were amazing. You woke up each morning to a panoramic view of the sea and the wild unspoilt area across from the hotel. I had asked for and got an upstairs room. The staff put their heart and souls into looking after the guests. The place had a family atmosphere. Run by an Italian family, Roberto and his daughter Serena along with Alex, Stella and the lovely Italian lady who worked in the kitchen, all worked tirelessly to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Because our flight wasn't until 23:00 , for an extra €50, we were able to hold onto the room until the taxi came to take us to the airport. It was well worth it. The breakfast and dinners were lovely with a good variety of choice and Roberto makes his own pasta and pizza's. A drinks machine with everything from Latte to Espressos in tap was brilliant!! And these coffees were café quality! The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked to keep us cool in the heat. The shower was super powerful and the layout of the bathroom was good. Drawers and cupboards for putting toiletries into. Also, having a fridge and kettle meant we could make our own cups of tea which you don't often see in the continent. Nearby supermarkets sell milk and Typhoo teabags. We will definitely be coming back. Lovely hotel and very good value for money.

There was nothing not to like. It was all good. We made friends with several couples and a family group who have been coming back to the Sa Barrera for many years which tells you something. A friendly atmosphere in beautiful safe secure surroundings.
