This hotel has been totally refurbished to a high standard since our last stay. The location is excellent with a short walk to the town beach and numerous bars and restaurants. There is also a small supermarket a few doors away although the walk to the main shopping street is around 10 minutes. The rooms (we had a standard double) are compact but comfortable. If you are looking for 5 star luxury, this hotel is probably not for you but it is a perfectly good hotel with all basic needs catered for. The staff are charming and extremely helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Shower gel is provided but you should have your own shampoo etc., and you also might want to buy your own toilet paper as that provided is somewhat basic!

Small room was clean and comfortable. Small but good breakfast in cafe next door included. Controllable air conditioning gave comfortable temperature. Staff polite, helpful and spoke good English. Location on Ramblas also excellent in the heart of things.

No bathplug! Shower a little awkward to get into as you had to climb into the bath past a glass partition. If wet, this is potentially slippy. Also, if not careful, floor could get wet. Room window overlooked indoor shaft rather than outside view. (Small observations on otherwise nice room).

Great location and room. Bed linen changed every 3 nights.

Noise from other rooms and outside. New toilet rolls were not always left by cleaner. Cafe breakfast was OK but quality of ingredients could be better, particularly the bread used for tostada. This is usually rustica type bread not sliced sandwich bread. Fruit salad was always the same two ingredients. Orange juice was not natural. We only went here 3 times. Might be better to take off the cost of the breakfast from room rate. 🤔

Excellent location. Room clean well kept - all we needed. Good staff. Beautiful city view and view of Castle from floor 6. Been here many times for city break and wouldnt go elsewhere. Look forward to next break.

nothing. All eg breakast close by. Just had 4 nights including trip on tram to Benidorm and trip up Santa Barbara Castle. Lovely restaurants in location from high end to budget. All in all another great trip with high recommendation for this hotel as ideal base.

Every time we visit Alicante - and we do it at least once or twice a year, for several years now - we choose to stay at this hotel and I think this says it all. indeeed, we stayed only in the city-view matrimonial rooms with balcony, so I cannot speak for the other options.

Maybe a bit noisy at night, due to the fact that it’s located at the main street, but nothing to complain about… closing the windows should help.

Great location short walk to the beach, Incredible food hub for all types of cuisine like Spanish, Meditteranian, Asian. Incredible and beautiful sightseeing locations for just a short walk, shopping sprees. Easy taxi access to nearest Shopping malls. KFC just across the hotel, convenient store almost a stones throw from the hotel, Simple breakfast at NIne Cafe to have a goos start of the day. Excellent clean room everyday. It is not regarding the hotel but the general surrounding on the street of Mendez Nunez. We wonder why there are no street sweepers or cleaners to take away all the fallen leaves in the streets. Even the alleys are not that clean also and garbage smell on some of them. I am sure with a little effort, tourists will be more impressed if they clean the streets regularly. I hoe the city council administration could do something about this.

Coffee was good in the cafe The night receptionist (did not catch her name) as only saw her when I checked in was very friendly and helpful and told me some places to visit. Another receptionist was nice and lent me a corkscrew! The room was very clean and the cleaners did a good job. I liked the good sized bathroom and big shower. The location was central with a lovely ice cream shop very near. The temperature of the room was always quite cool plus had a good air conditioner. It was nice to have a fridge to put my own drinks in. I liked my city view from the top floor and could see the castle from my window.

The breakfast from the cafe next door was lacking in choice. Was just toast and /or a small pain chocolate. Also the fruit was a tiny portion! I had read this was the case so was prepared. Also the room and the decor is quite basic so was a bit overpriced.

It was so easy to get to where you wanted go. Many places on foot as location is so central. The buildings all around are stunning and plenty to see. Beach within a 5minute walk and harbour a short walk. Stroll along the promenade and browse through all the stalls. Cafes, bars and many places to eat on your doorstep. Catch the train to Benidorm along the coast, scenery is breathtaking.

I was only there a night and day. Next time I will stay longer.

- I havent met staff more helpful in all my trips in Europe. - the filters in the AC are changed! Which is AMAZING for people with allergies. I cant tell you how many times I’ve had my allergies triggered whilst in holiday. Not this time tho! - Beds are comfy - location is literally 1 min walk from the sea - breakfast is until 11:30 which is great as Alicante is a night town - you have an amazing ice cream shop and a supermarket just as you go down from your room

- if the people living in the hotel are not paying attention and they leave the doors slam, it can be heard throughout the whole hotel and might wake you up during the night - breakfast is not what I’m used to, but it might be for you

Location was spot on, close to the beach , the castle and the tram stop. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was pleasant and comfortable and cleaned every day. Also the mini bar was replenished every day, instead of a free breakfast which we welcomed.

Nothing really, the veiw wasn't amazing but that's not a fault it's just where it is.
