We loved our room especially the wrap around balcony and the free standing bath was an extra treat. We also loved the pool on the first floor as it was quiet and relaxing.

We did not eat in the hotel at night as there was no outside eating area so we dined every night in the town. The service at the first floor pool was exceptionally poor,despite repeatedly pressing the bell..It took one hour and twenty minutes to order and be served our food and drinks.Even though they was a great variety at breakfast, the food was repeatedly cold.

Arrived and greeted by very helpful and professional desk clerks. The room was bright and well furnished with a great view over the Marina from the two balconies. Very much liked the walk in shower, same as home, and the huge bath towels. Really big comfortable bed with perfect pillows(4). Breakfast was good with a wide selection of continental and English food. Special thank you to Carolina, the Manager, who was so polite and accommodating.

Not everyone wants pod coffee. No instant coffee sachets, no milk, and no complimentary biscuits in the room. Two big televisions with 100+ channels, but only BBC World Wide News channel in English. Complimentary slippers too small

We had a room with view to the see and enjoyed that very much plus the “white” noise of the waves braking on the mole of the habour right under our room, which we found extremely relaxing. What has to said is that the entire staff be it at the reception at our arrival at 1 a.m. or at breakfast or at the restaurant and pool has been extra ordinarily nice. We would also like send a special Thank You to the staff from reception (Yamila, Carolina and Ana) who not only have been of the utmost help but also have been very kind when a health issue occurred and we had to leave one day early. We are looking very much forward to our next stay and will hopefully then also enjoy the Spa with its treatments!

The location is stunning and makes such good use of its position on the seafront in Alicante. Our room was attractive and spacious; the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent and the chef even went out of his way to cook us a paella when it wasn't even on the menu; the swimming pool and sunbathing area provides an attractive place to relax and unwind and the hotel staff are extremely helpful with local restaurant recommendations and bookings.

I booked a room with a "marina view" instead of "sea view", thinking it would be interesting to see the yachts coming and going, but this description is misleading. It isn't actually possible to see the marina because the view of it is blocked by a road and a large casino in front of the hotel. Fortunately our attractive room made up for it and we spent plenty of time by the pool.

Normally stay in Hospes Amerigo but it was fully booked so chose the Suites del Mar. Will definitely be returning to Hospes Amerigo the next time where you get a far superior five star experience, for a better price! Arrived at 3.45pm,rooms were not ready. Reception checked us in and told us to wait in the lobby and they would let us know as soon as the rooms were finished being cleaned. At 4.15pm they called us over and told us our rooms were ready. We enquired about the pool bar and reception told us we were welcome to use it. We put our bags in our rooms, got changed for drinks at the pool and went down to pool area to be told that the pool bar closes at 4.30pm! Very disappointing!

Cleaning came by every day in the evening for extra service and bonbons. Access to own pool and breakfast at suite level. Nice sunbeds. Staff tried to help on request.

Missing service at breakfast and pool area, ex. family on 6, we had to gather the tables our selves for breakfast every day. Cleaning under bed and tv. The view over the port from 2.nd floor - non existing.

It was our first stay in Alicante. I cannot express enough how amazing the reception staff was! Very helpful, advised where to go, what to visit, what's worth seeing, transport links etc. We had the best view of the whole bay from our room! The room itself definitely exceeded our expectations! We had a bath tub in the room, coffee machine, the bathroom was clean and everything worked fine! I honestly would stay here again. We had breakfast on 1st floor, overlooking the bay and swimming pool, it was quiet, clean, food was delicious, Marzena provided an excellent service, thank you! Highly recommended.

Breakfast was lovely. Staff were lovely. Beautiful location. Very clean. And although the toilet was IN the bedroom we were very happy we chose to stay there...the view from our room was unreal!

It was odd that the toilet, shower and bath were IN the bedroom. Especially the toilet!!! We didnt see that on the photos before we booked. Also, I'm glad we had access to the 'upstairs' swimming pool (though that was quite small) and that sun area could do with some reclining sunchairs.

Magnificent sea view, no doubt. Enormous room for family with 1 child. Variety and amount of food. Separate thanks to the cleaning ladies, sometimes we thought that the room was prepared for new guests. Also very appreciate the exceptions made for us during the stay.

Quite noisy during whole night, no building further only discos. TVs could be named somehow uniquely to be easy connected by the phone. Also I would add one more bag stand. No paper and pen to write down something. But all these are very minor things that do not effect on the general score.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful from reception to the chamber maids. The standard of cleaning was excellent. Also bed turned down, chocolates left. Clean linen and towels when requested.

Nothing. There wasn't anything to dislike. I don't know about the food as all my meals were taken in Alicante itself
