Fabulous and very clean Hotel in brilliant location with terrific staff who were so friendly , helpful and very professional and considerate. Should we return to Alicante we will definitely stay at the Hotel Maritimo. The location of the hotel is so central in Alicante as most places are within walking distance . When coming out of the airport get the C6 bus which is just outside departures so you will have to get the lift from arrivals to departures and when coming out the departures door just go to your right . The stop to get off is Puerta del Mar so just ask the bus driver to let you know when you have arrived at the stop as most of them are very helpful. The price per person is €3.85 per person but at the moment they do not accept cash so have a card ready . After leaving the bus in Alicante just cross over the main road and walk down the Esplanade and just watch for the New Delhi Indian Restaurant then turn right on Valdes Street and the hotel is on the right.

Absolutely Nothing

A hotel Maritimo was a really astonishing choice for our 8 days stay in summer at the sea in Alicante. We came for the famous June festival and got a marvelous experience from everything: staying in a nice hotel with a pleasant staff (special thanks to that girl from the reception, who gave us lots of positive energy), visiting all those celebrating events, discovering the city with relaxing at the beach and the sea. We had a great clean big room on the last floor, the room was cleaned every day. Reception was available 24/7. Super location: only 8 minutes from the main beach, lots of restaurants here and the main esplanade. The price is really comfortable for such a remarkable service. Thanks a lot, we'd really be happy to stay in a same hotel again if we visit Alicante in future!

The only small con: we didn't had hair-dryer in our room, however in summer it wasn't a problem to just have a walk outside to get dried :) Also, visitors during the june festival should consider noise from the streets at nights: however, for us it wasn't a problem at all.

a week's stay at the Maritimo hotel, I consider it successful. great place, close to everywhere, helpful receptionists. special thanks to the lady from Cuba. kind and friendly person. Room cleaning daily as requested. the room is tiny and the bathroom even smaller, but we went there to explore the area, not to sit in the room 🙂. quality adequate to the price. but the location of the hotel is the main advantage.

only on the last day, 16.08, the taxi we ordered by the hotel at 3.00, took us to the airport by a roundabout route. the taxi driver thought I didn't know how to get to the airport. and when I told him to go through the city, he said that all roads were closed in Alicante and he had to go that way and pretended that he didn't understand English. 🤨 it wasn't true that suddenly all roads were closed in the city, I also know how to use the GPS in my phone, the ride to the airport for ~20€ became 43€. The taxi driver brazenly and deliberately used us. I advise the hotel to change the transport company because it is taking advantage of your customers. or make a complaint on our behalf. taxi ordered on 16.08 for 3.00am we will definitely come back here again 🙂

The location is perfect for everything. Walking distance to bars, restaurants etc and close to bus and train station. The hotel also provide beach towels. Also very comfortable large bed.

Very noisy outside late at night. People shouting. Also building/road works very noisy (not the hotel's fault though.

Friendly staff, and great location near the Plaça Gabriel Miró. The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom, in particular was excellent.

My only complaint was the difficulty I encountered connecting to the wifi. I could connect on my phone (though it always took several attempts), but not using my laptop (a MacBook Air). It wasn't that I'd entered the wrong password, because over the three days I spent there, my laptop did connect to wifi on a few occasions, but only for a a few minutes before disconnecting. I tried renewing DHCP lease and other troubleshooting options, but to no avail. This was an annoyance, especially as the wifi (when it connected) was a great speed. If wifi had worked, I'd have scored the Hotel Maritimo a 10.

The staff were amazing and helpful. Worked hard to make the customer experience a good one. Wish I could remember the ladies name on reception (I think it began with M) so lovely Loved you could hire beach towels and beach umbrellas.

A few small things- our room was basic but adequate. We could have done with some hooks, (201 - these could easily go in hallway part of rooms)our room was for 4 we had 8 towels on the go, and there was no where to hang. Consider hiring small beach chairs?

Great location, a street back from the beautiful esplanade and within all the bars, cafes and main shopping areas. As a solo traveller a clean roomy bed and good shower to up and go are all I need and Maritimo delivers. All staff welcoming and lovely. It’s a small boutique hotel I.e. small reception and up to your room. 100% use again.

Nothing I didn’t like, minor issue with the TV but really no concern to me. It’s a lovely building in the Baroque or Paris centre style, smaller room but with everything. It didn’t bother me as I like to hear the buzz of a place, but you are in the bar areas and the tall buildings funnel noise if you like to sleep with a window open. Contrary to popular opinion of the British, it was young Spanish ladies partying at 4-5 am. Good for them ;-)

I loved the size of my room and the fact it had air-con, flat screen tv and a fridge tucked nicely away in the wardrobe (no noise from the fridge at night, like other hotels). I loved the fact the hotel can offer beach towels. A huge plus, as this frees up space in your luggage. Facilities are also available to leave your luggage after check-out so you can still go off and enjoy the sights. The best service is having a facility to use a washroom with shower after you have checked out. It’s great being able to freshen up and sort your last bits of luggage out, especially if you are heading back to the airport - I really appreciated that. Perfect location. Will definitely be back shortly.

The streets are a bit noisy being so close to a side street with traffic. Not the hotels fault but you are right in the heart of it all if you are on foot which is a huge bonus.

The location was perfect, very close to the marina and to the many restaurants around as well. I had a very small but cozy room and most importantly the reception was 24 hrs.

Well the point which I am going to mention is not about dislike, but the most important thing is you should understand the cost of the rooms and the value/ service you get. At this cost, this is by far the best possible accommodation available, so perfectly value for money.

The room was spacious, nicely furnished with good storage space. It was basic and good value. As we were only in it for a couple of hours both morning and night it was great. Good shower, plenty toiletries, Reception staff very helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The bed was really comfortable and large.

A kettle in the room would have been helpful.
