Beautiful old building that has been nicely converted. The lobby and bar are particularly nicely done. The rooms are clean and bright and breakfast was very good. Location is great and La Laguna is a lovely town.

The pool area is substantially worse than everything else, almost as is they don’t belong together. There is cheap grass, very limited seating and almost no shade. There is a huge rooftop terrace but we were told they could not open the shapes as it is only for events. The younger blond lady at reception was not very welcoming. Paying 12euros/day for parking is ridiculous, but there was always space available in the free public space next door.

Nothing much Only annoyance was we charged an extortionate amount for a cuippa tea on last day. We had to pay for the milk to add to the tea which we didnt have to do on either of the previous evenings Different bar staff on and the girl was adamant she wasnt backing down . The bar men from the night before were amazing .

We love the history of the hotel. There is a wine shop attached to the hotel which has a stunning selection of wines and the staff have such knowledge. There is a gastro restaurant ( tapas) near the cathedral which is astounding

Breakfast excellent. The evening meal in the hotel restaurant was extremely disappointing. I had the menu of the day which was advertised as 18 euros which was good. My husband booked al a carte and the main course still hadn’t arrived 25 minutes after my main course

The staff at this restaurant were excellent. The receptionists were always willing to help us with booking taxis, taking public transport, recommending restaurants and popular sights. The waitresses and bar staff were accommodating and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. My colleague thought the bed was the comfiest she had ever slept in at a hotel. The room temperature was perfect and easily adjustable. The lobby had a great atmosphere in the evenings and was a relaxing comfortable place to rest during the day. The gym was bright and had all of the equipment I needed and the standard of cleaning was excellent in the adjoining toilets.

The swimming pool was rather cold, even in the afternoon.

The reception, restaurant, and cleaning staff were amazing, accommodating, friendly, and fast. The on-site bar and restaurant offered an excellent selection of local and foreign wines. The easy access to a wide variety of wines was a great way for us to sample the local offerings by glass. We never had the same wine twice and each one was great. The breakfast was also great. We had it for one day and were very satisfied. The variety of meats, cereals, eggs, and fruit were all excellent and the orange juice machine was amazing. The coffee machine also had great coffee. The lounge area was well furnished and was always in use. This created an amazing hang out atmosphere. The hotel lounge was clearly the place to start or end a night and that was something that we did not anticipate prior to arrival. This was one of the best parts of the entire hotel experience. It was also close to the market so we were able to go there for our daily churros and hot chocolate.

The room was fine. We had a room that was facing an main elevator so when a light turned on then our room also lit up at night. We had to pull the shades closed.

In a perfect world the machine which made coffee inn our room would have made decent tea as well, but it did not heat the water to boiling point (if we come again, we'll bring our travel-kettle !). The rooftop swimming pool looked great, but since it wasn't heated we couldn't bring ourselves to use it......we had not researched the weather in La Laguna very thoroughly : it is 600 metres above sea-level and is subject to a micro-climate which, when we were there, produced cool air and more cloud/mist than we had expected.

Beautiful property, thoughtfully and tastefully presented. It feels special and has touches of luxury. The best location for exploring the old town and enjoying the many, many restaurants and historical sites in this vibrant area. Although our room was an entry level room, it was large and very comfortable. Toiletries in the bathroom were gorgeous and towels big and fluffy. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining area and was high quality with a wide range of fresh items. It’s not a full English if that’s what you’re after. Drinks in the lobby bar are really well priced compared to usual hotel drinks offerings - recommend trying the Canary wines on offer. Rooftop space is special and the gym probably has the best views of any I have used. Gym was well equipped, air conditioned and has water and towels.

The rooftop space is absolutely gorgeous. The pool suffers from the Spanish temperature rule - it is freezing and try though I might, I just couldn’t go in it. Neither could anyone else when I was up there. Sadly the jacuzzi was not working and although maintenance managed to get one of the jets working, the others were not. The hotel was unaware that it was not working and they had to get maintenance up to the rooftop for them to check it. So although the jacuzzi was clearly maintained, I’d suggest daily checks to ensure it works and getting an engineer to fix it when it isn’t. The pool and jacuzzi were two of my main reasons for choosing the hotel and I could use neither.

Very comfortable facilities. Very well fitted out with good shower and beds. The old part of the hotel, the foyer is very pretty. The rooftop pool must be tried! Having a wine shop on site also is very cool. It is the third time we have stayed at the hotel so that says a lot. Handy car traveller tip: the parking by the side of the hotel is free, don’t let the gorillas in yellow vests kid you otherwise. Or you can choose to park in the underground car park of the hotel which I think is €13 per 24 hours.

A minor complaint but the bed was on wheels and couldn’t be locked into place, just needs a small repair.

Lovely stylish hotel in a great location in the heart of La Laguna. Comfortable and relaxed vibe. Would recommend to other travellers visiting the town

No major issues we just felt the hotel was geared up to catering for guests staying one or two nights rather than an extended stay of a week and that this was off-season so some areas eg rooftop were not serviced for guests. Would have appreciated either water/drinks being stocked in mini bar or option to make a drink in room. Good Housekeeping otherwise and friendly bar staff.

The entrance and lobby were lovely, full of atmosphere. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Within walking distance to everything in the old part of La Laguna.

Our second floor room received no sun, with an inexplicably small window facing north into an inner court. The hotel had many other rooms with larger windows or sliding doors opening onto patios, so it seemed we got one of the least desirable rooms. The bathroom seemed slightly in need of renovation or deep cleaning (tiled area surrounding bathtub). The floor beneath the carpet in one stretch of the corridor leading to our room had soft/sunken areas in it which made it very unpleasant to walk on every day. We heard a bit more noise than expected from the hallway and guests in neighboring rooms.
