The location is ideal only a short distance from a number of restaurants and bars. Also very close to orange square and 10 minutes walk to the beach. El Gallo is set in a quiet street where you feel you are part of the real Spain. The check in process is very quick and efficient. Our room was exceptionally clean, a good size with a walk-in lovely shower. We have stayed at a number of hostels in Marbella and El Gallo is certainly the best we have stopped in because of its location and excellent facilities at a very competitive price. We would definitely stay again.

Great accommodation in Marbella..Location is close the bus station, in heart of old town, close to the beach... Down is restaurant, upside is rooms... In a quite street... You have keys of down door and room door which is very safe... The room is so big, very clean, bed is very comfortable and big, you have little fridge for cold drink or food... On the wall is TV with much channel if you want... Bathroom is so clean, they give you few towels, soap and champoo...They clean rooms every day and change towels...Hostel is so close many restaurants and bars but is so quite if you want to rest... People who work there is so kind and helpful... All recommendations for visit and to be guest if you in Marbella

I love this place. We have stayed here a few times now. It's only 2 min from the old town, however the street where is located is very quiet, you couldn't believe you are so close to the old town. Our room was recently renovated so it was even much nicer than last time. The room has a small terrace with great views to the mountain, the old town and sea. They come to make your room every day. Everything is clean and spot on. This is family run business, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We love staying here. We also eat at their restaurant at least once during our stay.

The location is fantastic; tucked along one of the many beautiful labyrinthian streets it is just a minutes walk from all of the hustle and bustle of Marbella's Old Town . We booked fairly short notice and for what was offered, the price was unbeatable. Very friendly staff, lovely air-conditioned room with towel change and cleaning each night. Couldn't have asked for more!

It was no fault of the hotel but the air-conditioning unit stopped working on night two of our two-night stay. These things happen though. Also, the cleaner was a bit too keen trying to change our towels and clean the room in the morning of day two as my partner and I had just finished showering and despite us talking and making noise, the cleaner unlocked our door and started opening it before I quickly intervened!

This is a family house that is converted into a hotel, the location is very nice and quite, the staff are super sweet, friendly and responsive. I was upgraded to a big room with a balcony that overlooks the mountains and there was a cleaning service everyday. I highly recommend this place!

The hotel was not open in the morning to grab coffee or breakfast, but it might be because it was out of season period

The hosts were amazing, the location was great, very central and 15 min of walking to the beach. It had an amazing balcony view and I’m very impressed in general. I didn’t expect it to be honest, the photos don’t really do just to the place. It was more like a very good hotel than a hostel to be honest.

Amazing place! Located in the old town but not in the noisy area. Room was enormous and very clean, staff is extremely kind and helpful. The property owns a Spanish restaurant nearby with reasonable prices and tasty food. I will return for sure.

What a fantastic location, hotel, atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The people were ever so helpful !! We loved the owners they really took their time out to look after us! In terms of the room- outstanding. The cleanest, modern decor and location was simply outstanding.

The hostel is placed in the old center of the town (but at the quiet street), which is impossibly beautiful. The room was very clean, pleasant, comfortable. The staff very helpful and polite. When I come back to Marbella I'll definitely book El Gallo again :)

Location excellent, which we were pleased about, as we had never been in Marbella before, so we were lucky.

Everything good, tho I need to learn a bit of Spanish, expected people in restaurants to have better English, tho, that is my fault too. Antonio in Hostal had good English, thankfully.
