I loved this so much. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, the bed was comfortable, the little rooftop pool area is cute (and honestly all I needed in an urban location), breakfast was good - but most of all, I absolutely adore the design. The whole place feels so mediterranean and laid back, and really well designed and thoughtful to the last detail. Will definitely be back!

The breakfast was nice, and the area is very comfy ans pretty. However I missed a non dairy milk alternative, and organic choices would have been great.

The pool is smaller than it looks on picture, don’t expect to have a proper swim, more of a big bath. Construction work took place in the hotel from 9am during weekdays, including drilling in the wall next door. It would have been appreciated for them to start later in the day, or at least inform us. Some rooms are directed towards the main avenue, which can be noisy at times. Make sure to ask for a room in the back if you are noise sensitive.

Overall a good experience. This was a last minute booking so just took the room without thinking. In hindsight would probably have gone for a bigger room if it had been available. The room itself was fine, quiet and comfortable, if a little sparse. Breakfast was good but the choice was limited and it got a bit repetitive. The hotel is located about 15 minutes (walking) from the centre. Not the classiest part of town, but it felt safe nonetheless. 15 minute taxi journey from the airport (traffic permitting).

The bathroom setup. The toilet and shower are located in the main room as opposed to being in a separate bathroom. You need to be really comfortable with the person you're sharing with. Breakfast options, if you're staying for more than two or three days you'll get quite fed up of the lack of choice

Location was very good, away from noisy touristic areas but within walking distance of everything, staff was very polite and had a wonderful attitude Very good suttle service Great site if you want a base of operations to then explore the island at your own pace

Shower temperature often changed on its own from normal to boiling unexpectedly. Also shower flooded Air conditioning wasn't very effective Street a bit noisy and rooms have an unexpected layout Booked two rooms, both same price but one was somehow smaller than the other

Staff at the HM Balanguera were always kind & friendly. The entire hotel was nicely decorated and the rooms were a good size with air conditioning. The pool area was comfortable with a lovely view of the city. Woule recommend

Breakfast options are a little limited, would benefit from some variation. The pool area would benefit from toilet facilities upstairs and a drying option for swim gear as we found it difficult to dry them in our rooms.

the hotel was spotlessly clean and smelt beautiful! the rooftop and small pool was a nice addition nice modern room, shower was great, large bed although slightly hard mattress

the only things we didn’t love was that it was slightly far from the centre for walking everyday, we got exhausted walking back and forth each day! at least we got our steps in 👍🏼 secondly, the hotel is next to a busy and loud junction. you can hear all the cars very clearly and if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs.

We liked the room and its furniture, it comes with a large desk by the window. Very good shower room and comfortable beds. A big plus to the generous and complimentary selection of drinks available in the fridge upon arrival. That's way more than any other hotel normally offers. About 10 to 20 min walk to the old town depending on where one needs to go. The staff was lovely and accommodating. We did enjoy the city view from the rooftop and its quiet at night time. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

The large desk does prevent you from getting a good view of the outside from the room (not sure how other rooms are designed). The rooftop can serve this purpose tho it would more convenient if its couches were equipped with nicer covers or more pillows to improve the general look and coziness of the place. Be cautious with the shower water as it may get very hot. We recommend reserving a taxi in advance if planning to go out in the evenings / nights as waiting times may be very long, but this does not depend on the hotel and again walk distance to the center is not long.

Very comfy and well equipped room. Towels changed daily and beds made.There was a handy minifridge and a good sized TV. Breakfast was good with pastries, cereal a few hot options. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The pool is very small - only 1m deep max and not very long or wide. However it was fine for just lazing around in.

Decor is beautiful in this hotel, the rooms are gorgeous with lovely touches of magazines and books about Mallorca on the bedside table. The hotel seemed like it could feature in one of the magazines the interior was so impressive. The rooftop pool/ terrace is very nice too, not as good a view as some of the rooftop bars/hotels in Palma as the location is a bit further out, and limited number of beds/ lounge areas. The pool is quite small, perfect if only a few guests are there but two large groups arrived when we were using the terrace and it felt a bit cramped.

It is a bit of a walk into town, very doable if willing to walk about 15/20 minutes which we were, but it might turn some people off when its hot/ late at night. If you are looking to be in the centre of things I would recommend somewhere closer to the cathedral / Passeig del Born or the seafront.

The modern bathroom meant that the shower was in the middle of the room, and even the loo did not seem private Maybe it is alright when travelling in a couple (though not sure every couple would think so) but as two friends sharing a twin room it was not ideal
