A nice cozy hotel at the mountainous region of south Tenerife. It is set in a nice, relaxed, calm place. Great to access the Teide national park. The beds were comfortable, the room spotlessly clean. The staff were nice and easy to communicate with. All in all recommended.

What could be improved a bit is the variety of the breakfast. It is a buffet one, but the selection is nearly the same every day. Some variety and a bit more options, like omlette, scrambled eggs, more veggies would be welcome. Also I would say that the price is a bit higher than it should be for what you get if you consider the location is outside of the main touristic places.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, beautiful property, beautiful view (mountain view room). Loved it here. Fantastic base for exploring El Teide at 30 min drive. Vilaflor is quiet but cute. Personel very friendly and good food in the restaurant. Would absolutely come back! Loved reading a book on the terrace with excellent view and service!

Everything was really good. Only thing that could be improved were the bedlinen. On the mattress they use a sheet with a waterproof layer in it. To me that felt like a layer of plastic under the sheet to sleep on, not too comfortable and sweaty on the skin. But easy to solve by sleeping on top of a blanket or extra towel. Other than that the beds were high quality and comfortable.

Very good place with wonderful views and gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to town. The room was super clean and comfortable, we had everything we needed and a lovely seating area outside. Breakfast was OK but recommend visiting the local duceria as well for other options and best coffee in town ;)

We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and unfortunately found it disappointing. Understandably the options were limited but the portions and quality of the different dishes varied enormously depending what you ordered. For instance, the meat was a very large portion while the fish was small, overcooked and too oily. Shame.

Spacious, clean rooms with some basic stuff (a kettle, tea/coffee etc); all new; very quiet although close to the road; nice lounge zone instead of pool, with a bonfire and lounge chairs, - great for some chill evenings with a tea or glass or wine!

Breakfast could’ve have more options; the hotel sits in a rural area so there’re lots of flies which were imposible to get rid of once they’re inside the room..:( also a mirror would be nice to have in a room (there’s only a small one in the bathroom).

100% would recommend. The view was incredible! Perfect peaceful getaway, very nearnational park for hiking. Breakfast is good value for money as is the main dinner. Chefs and waiters and staff are very friendly and helpful. Food and wine were delicious. If you want to escape the coastal tourist traps, this is the place! (If you have a car)

The Tv didn't work in the room.

Superb location. A beautifully run hotel, recently taken over by a new manager, Pablo, who also owns/runs the restaurant. Views are spectacular from whichever room selection and the lovely little village of Vilafor, which Alta Montaña perches on, is full of charm. Refreshing to escape the madness of coastal Tenerife. Pablo and Lourdes (who was on duty when I arrived) could not have been more helpful or gracious.

Pablo was very helpful. We arrived in very late night, but he was still waiting for us. And despite that we missed the breakfast, he was so kind that get us some food after breakfast time. The view from the room was spectacular! Thank you!

The property is located in beatiful area, it is clear that management is actively trying to respond to the reviews here, as I noticed that the breakfast is now improved a lot, as well as the hot water supply in the room. I would definitely visit again, nice people!

great location for walking trails. Explora Vilaflor app is very good for finding the trails. Dinner in the evening is really good food. We got to Vilaflor by bus 482 from Los Cristianos and took bus to Teide for a days walking.

Very nice staff, great breakfast and good location

Dinner in the restaurant was poor with a bland fish dish served almost cold. Weak shower and thin curtains so with the path lights outside it was never dark in the room.
