Our host, Nimantha was an affectionate, impeccable and a professional human! For illustration, he went out of the way and got us the room we desired. It was a slip-up from our end, yet he came to our rescue. Our check in process was seamless. On our request, he arranged a traditional Sri Lankan wholesome breakfast for us. It was prepared by his doting grandma - delicious kiribath, mouth-watering kochchi and bread-butter and mother nature. A delightful experience. Our rooms were chic, comfortable and clean with mesmerizing nature views. My mom and lil brother enjoyed sipping hot coffee and soaking in these divine views on a hammock. Checked 'hammock amidst nature' off my bucket list, thanks to Nimantha and my goddess. Nimantha has become a family now.

There’s nothing we didn’t like, apart from a monkey stole our welcome biscuits from the balcony before we could eat them.

Very lovely and helpful hosting family. They arranged for us all the things we asked for. Tuktuk rides, laundry even brought us stuff we needed from their small shop. Also we enjoyed a lot the cooking class which was hosted by 2 lovely ladies. The perk of this cooking class was that we were able to set our own start, request the food we wanted to learn and there were no other people beside our group. The view of Ella rock from the balcony of our cottage was amazing. Our room was separated from other rooms and the house, so it was very quite and private. The room was clean.

The owner was very caring and supportive. From the pickup point (railway station) until the drop to the railway station, he facilitated every requirement without any delay. He facilitated with a scooter for us to travel and also gave us a detailed guidance on places to visit. His hospitality was at the maximum level for both foreigners and local guests. The place is a very quiet place, where we had a good rest. It is like a center point, which is very close to Ella town, railway station, demodara loop, Kithal falls, Nine Archs bridges, etc. Thank you

+ Very nice, super friendly and warm-hearted family - we felt very welcome :) + accommodation is outside of the very touristic and crowdy Ella town (short walk to town - walking distance 30 minutes or 20 minutes if you walk on the rail road, by Tuk Tuk or bus its about 8 minutes) in a very quite area surrounded by the beautiful nature - all you need is up here (shops, bus station, Tuk Tuk service, ella rock hike is near, restaurants, Kithal Ella Train station) + spacious room with 2 comfortable double beds and different cushions (soft/hard) + big private terrace with amazing mountain view (Ella Rock), hammock, 2 sun loungers and a big Table for 4 people + hot water shower + Tuk Tuk Service available for good price + nearby is the small family shop and also other small shops selling fruit/vegetable and other stuff + if you have a request for whatever (tour, Tuk Tuk, cooking class, and so on) the owners can organize it for you :) We warmly recommend to stay for a few days at this great Accomodation :)

We had a great time at Ella New green view. The place is located outside the city, in a very peaceful area in the jungle with a great view. The breakfast was delicious and very rich. Nimantha and his sister made us feel very welcome and they helped us a lot during our stay. They organize tuktuk tours for a very reasonable price. Nimantha is a great host and guide, always smiling and trying to help.

Be aware that the jungle is quite humid, but worth it

The grandparents, the grandpa is very sweet and polite (he drives very carefully and stops if sby s calling him) and the grandma speaks English (she used to live in Kuwait) and is funny. Nimantha, the grandson and the person you will.mostly interact with is so helpful, polite . He will try his best to make you happy and is always ready for improvement. What i love? the family, the grandma and grandpa, the cooking class, the vibe. i stayed 2 nights but could easily stay longer if i had time (try to get the room on the same floor as the reception).

Nimantha is a great host! Great location away from the crowd of Ella, we rented a scooter with which it was easy to go around the hills nearby/little Adam’s peak/bridge etc. Nimantha also gave us a ride to Udawalawe, great car ride together. We also had a spontaneous cooking class at the delicious restaurant next door. All was great! Also good to reach by foot from Kitha Ella train station (steep hill, 20 minutes)

It has been a great experience staying at this place. I arrived with the intention of spending 3 nights and it turned out to be well over a week the time I stayed in the place. I felt cosy with variety of services on hand. Nimantha and his family are providing an utmost welcoming experience as well as they are very friendly. Willing to help all the time, with anything you may need as information or renting a scooter which is a great idea to explore the sorroundings areas. The place is located in the mountains region so there are really nice views, it is a calm place and it is wonderful when the sun is coming to bring some light and heat. You can have access to the kitchen that for those of us who love cooking it is wonderful, and groceries are not a problem as there is a supermarket just across the street and many shops nearby at a walking distance.

Overall I am satisfied with the experience I had, and would come back in case I happen to be in Ella in a future event.

New Green View is on a hill, a ten-minute drive from town. It's a quiet and comfortable spot. Owner Nimantha is the main attraction here. This outstanding young Sri Lankan is a credit to himself, his family and his country. Nimantha took me on a private tour for a reasonable price of the main attractions in Ella and was very personable company with good English. He really went out of his way to make me feel welcome and I hope our paths cross again soon.
