location is perfect. right in the center. from there you can easily walk everywhere around the city. very calm room. no noises. excellent. nice welcoming.

on booking it shows like there is a swimming pool. But there is not! it is a plunge bath in their spa. in addition, spa access is not included for hotel guests. and entrance is 60EUR.

I wasn’t keen on the interior design. We had a suite on the corner. It was painted a disappointing grey with modern, chrome fittings and the furnishings looked like IKEA? I would have preferred a traditional, plush-luxury feel in line with the history and general presentation of the hotel. We have stayed previously in a more traditional-looking room. This one had perfectly luxurious bed but everything else did not look quite right.

I feel paying 750kr for the spa facilities to use pool etc on top of the actual cost to stay in hotel is a bit much. Or else just build it into the price as it just seems wrong to ask for more money to use the facilities for hotel guests. Also we should have been informed that the pool was under maintenance for the time we were staying

Just FYI, breakfast is not "all included". You have everything you need but they charge extra if you want them to prepare an omelet or wish to drink champagne etc which is not typical for hotels in this price range.

a flawless 5 star hotel. truly the gold standard of service! the staff can’t do enough for you, and it reminds me of old fashioned 5 stars from a previous era where nothing was too much trouble. the lovely man from reception showed me three room options of different styles and let me choose. all of the options were fantastic - two newly renovated/ modern rooms which were very large, and one old style/traditional room, smaller bit also with a couch and so on. unexpectedly I chose the smaller traditional room. it was still spacious and I liked the aesthetic and view. the bathrooms are enormous - double basins, free standing bath and shower. such a welcome treat as hotels so often have tiny bathroom vanities - such a pain for two people and two people’s products!!! in fact we stayed at the diplomat Stockholm the night before we moved into the Grand Hotel and you can’t move in those bathrooms- awful! the hotel itself is a large grand hotel from some time ago but they’ve renovated many rooms and the inside feels fresh and modern. at first I worried it would be a bit “stiff” and long empty corridors but not at all - the bar buzzed with young people at night, the cafe/casual restaurant Is constantly alive and operating - a perfect location looking over Stockholm. we went to see several of Stockholms top hotels and, as I mentioned, we stayed a night at The Diplomat - this is superior in ever sense! service, space, style! the spa and gym area is also fantastic - newly done - world class! ps the casual bar restaurant serves the best kale and chicken salad ever!!

The room was very spacious, very comfortable bed, excellent large bathroom with bath and separate shower and closet space too. Fantastic spa and gym, exceptional breakfast and dining facilities, and bar. Beautiful interiors and amazing view - water view from our room. Highly recommended and situated perfectly in Stockholm for exploring the city. Staff was exceptional and highly efficient and kind.

Front desk reception and the porters were spot on. The room was spacious with the palace view per my booking. Beddings were comfortable. Overall, a great stay.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the smell of the products (very heavy scented) and it also lack the environmental friendliness by not being able to replenish after use. Comp bottled water was provided but in plastic form.

the bar reception was rude and not with the appropriate level of service as all the other staff of the hotel. a very bad exception in a very good total. fortunately, the service at the bar was really good , very kind staff that made us forget the bad experience at the entrance

1. When we arrived the room was for 2 and we had a Booking reservation for 3 (written confirmation). The lady at the front desk asked for a extra payment (for the same room). I refused. They then proposed a larger room for an extra price. No comment ! 2. Breakfast too expensive

Beautiful place, great location, very clean, food is excellent, open buffet breakfast top quality, setting is lovely. Special thanks to the Reception! I forgot my passport in the safe and realized at the airport at checkin. They were very fast and sent the passport to the airport and I caught my flight !! Sincere thanks for the amazing support, calmness and quick reaction.
