We stayed at Chateau Gütsch for 3 nights. Hotel expression was in a high level. 1st night's dinner we had at hotel 'ball saloon'. Soup with carrot just was perfect, as well as rest meal of dinner. I was very pleased with the exact atmosphere of the chateau', the comfort of the beds, the design harmony between the furniture and the walls.Whole ambiance of hotel was up to satisfaction.Breakfast was in average variety of products, but every time after done I will very full and satisfied.

There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. We asked the receptionist if he could bring the kettle to the room for us, but it was not pleasant that he brought the kettle and put it in front of us. This job should be done by room service personnel. It should be brought to the room, not directly to my hand on reception desk.

Nice and classy heritage hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast and amazing views. Really liked room decor. Bathroom spacious and bed comfortable. Good value for money all things considered. Will stay again when next time in Luzern Just keep in mind that if you are coming from funicular there are steps that you have to take which might be problematic with a luggage. Worth asking staff for help.

Everything from the decor, fluffy towels, exceptional service, friendliness of staff was a real treat! The view from the American Bar and the Dining room is spectacular. The rooms are quiet, clean and very comfortable This is a spectacular hotel with the best location in Luzern

The property is really nice. Room is inside the castle which is high in mountain and can see the whole view of Luzern. The property is clean and whole drinks in Mini Bar are free

Due to high location, if you with luggage, it is hard. First, it is a little bit far away from Train station, so need to take bus. Second, it is on the top of mountain, so the hotel has it’s own cabin and you need to take cabin to arrive the hotel. Third, when you arrive in hotel, it still has some stairs you need to take it until the lift and then you can reach reception. Highly recommend the hotel provide the transfer service from Station to hotel.

The breakfast was excellent, fantastic views, great drinks at the bar, friendly and helpful staff.

Wished there was a spa and gym/sauna

The views are incredible. Being away from the main roads make for a mostly peaceful stay. The breakfast venue on the terrace overlooking the city is beautiful and the offerings at the breakfast buffet are plentiful and well done. The valet was very friendly —directing us re: parking our car and taking our bags in and escorting us to our rooms. The welcome drink was also very hospitable.

Being situated on the top floor (in the middle of a summer heat wave) was difficult. We needed to aerate the room to have a cooler stay. Being on the back side of the hotel has its issues (up lighting of the building stays on until ~1am and comes back on at ~5am AND you can hear customers’ chitter chatter as they leave the hotel and leave in their cars in the late evening/early morning hours.

Beautiful location, hotel very close it the center and well connected. The view form the rooms (we were at the 4th floor) was just absolutely stunning and amazing. The service and thr staff were great! Rooms are quiet, with the windows closed you hear nothing from outside and the insulation between the rooms looked really effective.

I would have loved a but more variety available for the buffet. Also, the rooms are without A/C (which is not really needed) and have fans, but the fan in my room was a bit noisy and had to play with it quiet a while to stop the noise. Also for some reason the TV was connected to a socket that wasn't working, had to play with that as well to make it work.

Beautiful hotel perched on a hillside above the city giving fantastic views. Beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds and rooms, shower was lovely also. Our room had a balcony which was great to relax and take in the view with a drink. The bar is very well appointed with a nice selection of cocktails. Great selection of hot foods (eggs bacon sausage), fruit, yogurts, pastries, bread, ham and cheese and juices at the buffet style breakfast, and staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There is a nice woodland area beside the hotel for a pleasant and peaceful walk. The hotel can be reached by funicular and also by steps and is 15 min walk from the main train station.

The location is great. It's not central old town, so navigating to the hotel is easier, and there was on-site parking. Also, being outside the central part of the city makes it quieter, and the views are spectacular. The funicular makes heading down to the city very easy. The staff made us feel welcome and helped us celebrate our daughter's birthday at the restaurant. The bar staff were very fun to talk with!

Nothing we didn't like. Not all rooms were air conditioned, but on hot days, once the sun went down, open windows worked well enough.

The staff were amazing! This is a beautiful place to stay with stunning views of Lucerne. Our room was big, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The lounge area is the perfect place to relax after a day seeing the sites and walking the city. Breakfast was fantastic

The only issue we had was with our burgers we ordered on our last night. My husband's was served raw. We weren't asked how we wanted them cooked, but for almost 40 euros, we didn't expect them to not be edible. They did offer to cook him a new one but we had to wait, of course. This wasn't a bad experience, but it would have been nice to have offered us a complimentary drink or remove it from the bill
