We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel itself is done out beautifully, with great views out over Lake Lucerne from both our room and the bar terrace. Check-in was straightforward and there was plenty of space in the underground car park. The room was also very nice, with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake, and twin beds as requested. The hotel bar was a highlight. Decorated in a beautiful traditional style, with an extensive drinks list, comfortable seating, piano, and friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast in the morning was also extensive and enjoyable.

The only conceivable grip was with the room layout. I'd asked for two beds as I was traveling with my mother. These were provided, but was adjacent such that it may as well have been a double bed. Given that the room was so spacious, I simply moved one of the beds across the other side of the room, with plenty of room to do so. This uncovered a reasonable amount of dust where the bed had been, although I guess they didn't count on me doing my own interior design. But this is all very minor; all in all a very pleasant stay!

Easy to get into Lucerne on bus with free bus pass. Bus stop right outside hotel. Breakfast good. Reception has a staffed travel desk which was helpful. Seperate toilet with sink. Easy to access Lake Lucerne with nice swimming and walking areas.

We requested a twin room but beds were together. No space to push beds apart. No mini bar in room. Took 3 days for the towel holder to get fixed. Restaurant staff talking very loudly to each other during meal service. No ambience in dining room.

- Decent breakfast, lots of large bustours in the hotel but they had their own breakfast room, so pretty quiet - Close to city center, free bus, only 3 stops

We booked two rooms, but the hotel couldn't give us two rooms close to eachother (which I still find odd, since it is a huge hotel). We had one room at the front, 1st floor, (great view over the lake) but with lousy airco, and one room at the back, 3rd floor, (not a very great view) but with excellent airco.

Europe hotel Lucerne is excellent, the location is very good , lake view rooms were excellent. I really appreciate the hotel staff who upgraded my rooms without any cost . The breakfast is very good. The staff is very helpful to plan your day trip or any other activity.

A little bit noisy at lake side rooms if you open the windows. But lake side rooms are worth staying.

The staff was amazing; friendly & responsive to every request - including providing milk for our children in the evening. The room was more spacious than I expected & we had access to a small balcony which was perfect for a cup of tea in the morning. The location was great to explore the waterfront, the Swiss Transportation Museum & the beautiful bridges of Luzern.

Currently a little construction. No noise that bothered us, but can just imagine how beautiful the place will be when the scaffolding is down.

Ambience was old and awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful . Provided 4 days free pass for bus travel from hotel to lucerne station. If u like European style stay highly recommended.

On Booking.com while booking it was shown as booked lake view room however when reached did not get same that was surprising.

I liked everything- not least the excellent deal I got at relatively short notice for a one-night stay with breakfast. The reception staff were very kind and helpful with my bags, etc., and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The pre-bookable private garage space (25 chf extra) was a huge advantage and definitely worthwhile - although the short, uncovered walk across the road from the entrance ramp to the hotel reception might be a bit annoying in the rain. The hotel’s out-of-Centre location is perhaps less than ideal for tourists (which I’m not), but a more central location would undoubtedly bump up the price considerably. My room was perfect, with lots of nice little touches of comfort such as generous supplies of toiletries, free bottled water, etc. Only 2 things could be improved IMHO: a fridge or minibar in the room; and warm plates for the cooked options at breakfast. There only seemed to be cold plates available on the morning I had breakfast, but the grilled bacon, fried eggs (plus scrambled) and sausages were delicious. Strongly recommend the ”Europe“ for a short-to-medium length of stay, and I’ll definitely go back next time I need to stay overnight in Lucerne.

Nothing of any significance, especially at this price and for this level of comfort. But see above for a couple of minor points.

Excellent location, very attentive staff who were all very pleasant. Breakfast was very good and the food generally was very good. Our room had a great view of the lake. Very secure car park.

No air condition in our room. Very hot and windows needed to be closed because of the mosquitoes at night.

A spacious room with a balcony overlooking Lake Lucerne. 1 minute walk to the beautiful promenade. The breakfast is varied and the most delicious in Lucerne. The hotel staff excels in cordial and focused service. Bus to the center, train and ferry stationsituated at the entrance of the hotel. We had a very pleasant stay.

Great location, affordable and quiet. Our concierge, Valeria (I think) was really helpful and welcoming.

Breakfast could have been with more option. There were groups so they made it limited which was fair enough but it is not fair for rest of the other guests staying at the hotel.
