It is at a great location -10-15mins walk from Luzern station along the lake. The Lucerne Lake is just behind the villa with Multiple pathways. New renovated rooms and suites with almost all amenities. Yet they have to complete small bits of finishing however that does not affect the stay in any manner. Tastefully done suites and rooms. Room service - which is more about keeping the room clean- has been extremely effective and consistent.

They could start mini buffet breakfast in the villa itself - probably soon although they have this option only at 400mts away from the Villa Maria. They could give more guidelines on using heaters (not required this season) and also if the laundry option is available. Guidelines on using ventilation better..

I had a room to the street. That street is one of the main streets of the city of Lucerne. Loud when the window is open. Quiet when closed.

Very cozy and it’s got everything we need inside the room and the bathroom is clean, modern and updated. Appreciate the snacks and beverages provided in the mini bar. We also enjoyed hanging out at the kitchen/dining room after spending time outside the whole day.

The property didn’t have an elevator so it was a bit of a challenge to carry all the luggage to the 2/F and 3/F since we were traveling with seniors. There was no staff stationed in the property to help. We also found the paintings in the rooms a bit creepy especially we arrived in the evening and the lights were quite dim. We just informed the reception located at the other hotel that we will take them down. Please replace the paintings to something more colorful and pleasant! The portable aircon fans were also a bit noisy. Thankfully, we were always tired to be bothered with it while sleeping.

We loved the location of the Villa Maria. If you walked out of the front door and turned to your right, it took you right to the lake and a lovely path that you could walk and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. On your right you passed lovely apartments, restuarants, a park, people playing bocce ball, And it ended up at the intersection to cross into for old town (about 20-25 minutes walk/2 km) and if you walked a little further you were at the train station. You can take bus 6/8 right from the tain station or at another stop to get back to villa Maria if you want are tired of walking. The bus stop is Dietschiberg. Bed was comfortable, Bathroom was nice. Air conditioning worked great.

Location was quiet and ideal for a good rest at night. There was a very short walk to the bus station which takes you to the center. Walking by the side of the lake from the hotel to the center is a must! Snacks and coffee refilled daily. Requested for an additional coffee capsule which they were very responsive to as well as to all of my other concerns.

Was not able to receive an email regarding check-in details but they made it a point to be available with phone numbers by the door.

Found the lack of on premises staff sometimes awkward. While the sister hotel had staff it is a few blocks away so not always convenient. there was phone access but mostly we have our phones turned off to void data charges so preferred email and the responses to our emails were often quite slow. Also the online checkin process to get our room key had instructions in German so we just gave up trying to use it.

Vila Maria is very nice historic building, very nicely refurbished, with some very nice designer pieces. It is located in very safe area, by the lake, not in the busy part, but you can hear traffic a bit if you open your windows. Check-in was smooth, even though I had to call and finish it with help of the owners. All information was provided ahead. Parking place is right opposite the building, across the street.

Great location. Faced the lake and was quiet. Had air con but was a portable unit and didn’t really impact the sleeping area. Clean, newly refurbished, daily restock of tea, coffee etc. Easy walk to lake and bus stop. Lucerne visitor pass arrangement with hotel.

We were in the top apartment with a balcony which was wonderful but there is no lift and 3 flights of stairs. Not so good if physically challenged.

A lovely lakeside walk to the sister hotel for a lovely breakfast eaten on a sunny terrace with views of the lake. I loved the location as it was quieter and yet only less than 10 minutes stroll along a tree lined avenue by the lake, to the centre on one side and the lido on the other.

The cheapest rooms face the road which is noisy during the day but quiet at night.

design of the room was nice and bed was very comfortable. free mini bar and snacks were nice to have and could save someone’s evening after arrival. note from the owner with the tips on what to do and what to see was good too

missing place to sit/rest other than bad. we were two in the room and there was just one chair in the room.
