Short stay, only two nights, I wish I could stay longer

Your staff was impeccable and more than helpful and friendly at every encounter. The pool area outdoors was nice and we had amazing views. Our room was clean and everyone was accommodating and kind. I especially appreciated the turndown Service. ( you just feel extra special and taken care of). The bidet and special touches were nice. When we were picked up by Miguel and taken down by Stefan they really took care of us and made sure we knew where to go and what to expect. The breakfast had lots to offer, great service and quality food. The location was great in proximity to our room.

We had what we needed and things were great. The only thing that was a miss was we wanted to go to the sauna but the hours were limited to start at 2. Also the large bright yellow rubber duck sort of blocked out photos of the Matterhorn and felt a little cheesy, maybe it has meaning but we didn’t know what it was.

Magnificent views. Friendly and willing-to-please staff. The quiet location and the walk from the hotel to the station along the beautifully maintained snowy track. Interesting and eclectic works of art and decoration. Beautiful light fitting. Ski room well equipped. The cleanliness.

More and correct information shared about the hotel and the resort within the hotel. Not being told one has to book the restaurants before arrival. The breakfast was a bit uninspiring. Bread wasn't generally up to the normal delicious Swiss standard. The spa needs more personnel visibly involved and explanation of what is available...no idea what the salt cellar was about. The outdoor pool could be open in the morning.

just that after 11:30 couldn’t be outside since the train would go back to the hotel… but I was fine with it, cause we came just for skiing and the amazing hotel

Everything was brilliant, the property is located in a very pristine location up top, the porter service was excellent once your arrive at the zermatt train station, everything is taken care off. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the check in process, the rooms with the balcony had an amazing Matterhorn view, even the outdoor heated pool is magical & a must try during your stay. The hotel staff were polite and kind.

Nothing to complain about

One of the best properties I have been to around the world, an embodiment of wonderful!

For such a property with such a standard, I believe there is a HUGE gap to improve the standard of the breakfast, since I would categorise this property alongside the likes of Ciragan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, and ahead of the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St Moritz, and the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrât (Four Seasons), and Mont Cervin Palace, you can try to at least match the breakfast offering of the Mont Cervin at least, honestly i was disappointed by the poor selection and offering.

This hotel is beyond my expectations. I stayed at Gornergrat mountain top 3100 Kulmhotel last time, but I think Riffelalp 2222m is better. The staff are so welcoming. When I checked out, they also provided service of sending luggages to Zermatt railway station directly, which was extraordinary. So I could go mountain climbing and didn’t need to come back again for the luggages. The facilities in the hotel were perfect too - nice pool, gym, PS4, kids playground… etc. And I love the breakfast here. I will definitely come back again!

Nothing specifically, the price was hight for us but fair for amenity and location

-paying the train each time to get to the hotel is not ideal unless you spend your time just at the hotel -pool would expect it to be warmer but luckily we had sunny days during our stay - maybe during winter they do increase the temperature

What's not to like?? Fabulous location, super helpful staff making sure that you are taken care of throughout your stay. A spacious room with a great view, huge bathroom and a balcony looking at the Matterhorn. Breakfast had many options and once again, first rate service. Dinner was delicious both night (we ate at both restaurants) and again, outstanding service. Hans had a cocktail reception our first night and let us know he was responsible for everything but the weather, but he even managed to fix that for us our last day. A great host. The spa facilities are fantastic with many options.
