Our stay at Hotel Parnass was wonderful. It is centrally located to the main area of the city. One of the main lift areas (Sunegga) is an 8 minute walk from the hotel. The Cog Railway station is about a ten minute walk to the station, however, there is a bus stop near Sunegga. The hotel rooms are very nice if you just need a clean, comfortable place to stay; it is not a 5 star hotel. There is a nice sitting area with coffee available all the time. A very nice breakfast is served, which is included in the price of the room. The rooms are clean and well kept. Most importantly, I found the best thing about the hotel is that all of the staff were friendly, attentive, and most helpful in all respects. If you don't need all of the amenities of a 5 star hotel, I highly recommend the Hotel Parnass. Should I return to Zermatt, I will stay there again.

For my needs, there was nothing lacking, thus, there is nothing negative I can say.

The room-with-a-view was unbelievable! The Matterhorn view was directly out the balcony door. It was so majestic! Also, the location was unbeatable! We walked straight to Sunnega tram every morning! The ski/boot drying room were a real plus. We also really like the breakfast! Last thing, John at the desk went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to be helpful! He is part of the reason that we would return back to this property.

It would have been nice if some of the breakfast items were rotated for some variety or if hot food options were available.

We had an amazing stay here at Hotel Parnass. They had such a nice commercial gesture towards us that completely changed positively the dynamic of our trip. The room was nice, and the breakfast amazing. They have a cute space where everyone can gather to read, talk, or play games. They also provide good meal deals with some restaurants. We went to one of their suggestions and it was great! The location is also perfect! Really a very pleasant experience overall! We will be back. Thank you!

- Would recommend staying here. - Amazing view of the Matterhorn if the weather is kind. We could see sunrise hitting the Matterhorn from the room which was convenient. - Excellent location. Close to everything in town including restaurants, supermarket, train station - Very clean and comfortable .

- Has a European style shower head where you need to hold it by hand with a weird placement on the middle of the wall. - heating turns off early in the evening so it was a bit cold one night. Seems this is a setting the hotel has across all rooms as we couldn't turn the heating back on (unless we just couldn't work it out!). Would be good for staff to inform about this at check-in

Lovely mixture of an established old friendly hotel with modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Good firm mattresses and great pillows. Extensive breakfast in a pleasant dining room. Comfortable common area on ground floor to relax and read, board games etc.supplied. Extremely friendly helpful staff typical of a well run family hotel. Half board available at a very good restaurant (le Mazot) just across the road at very reasonable rates. Lovely hotel with a friendly welcome.

Nothing really. A sauna and hot tub would be great but not essential.

Convenient to skiing, comfortable room.

I booked a Mountain View and got a view of the back yard. Clerk refused to move us initially but we were moved the next day to a more appropriate room. I chose the hotel because I had a great experience last year with a Matterhorn view. Management has changed, and although it was not a bad experience, the disappointment with the room Affected the experience.

The hotel has an outstanding location and our room had a beautiful view. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond for us. The breakfast was also amazing. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Zermatt.

there was a miscommunication in my reservation, they cancelled my original room because they assumed my inquiry about other room, they assumed im cancelling which I didnt, so I have to pay half of the additional charges because they gave away my booked room to somebody else.

Staff excellent, location perfect for the bus and walking area of the village for restaurants and shopping. Breakfast great, room as well. Great value.

Suggest they find a better place for storage of luggage after morning checkout while skiing last day before departure. Was not a problem, just feel it was not ideal.

We stayed in a double room with a balcony and Matterhorn view. We liked having a balcony to sit outside. The hotel is in a good location, about 5 minutes walk to the train station and close to many restaurants. The room was very comfortable and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was very good, there were plenty of choices.

Nothing
