Hotel Seegarten was absolutely lovely! The staff was wonderful and very friendly and helpful! The location was perfect and quiet! We were 2 minutes from the Lake which was beautiful and we walked all over! Also, the Seegarten is less than 5 minutes from the main street where you can catch the tram which comes every 10 minutes. You can take the tram to the train station as well as it's a short ride. There are many restaurant choices, shops and food stores in the immediate area as well. The room was lovely! Comfortable bedding, good lighting and very quiet. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices for everyone. The cappuccinos and coffee were also delicious! And, the staff in the breakfast area was very friendly and nice! We loved our stay at the Seegarten and would definitely stay there again!

Nothing, it was a wonderful Hotel!

We stayed at this boutique hotel for 2 nights between 21 april to 23 april. We booked double room and comfort double room considering we were 4 adults and 1 kid. The double room was small but neat whist the comfort room was indeed comfortable. The hotel had a very vintage feel to it, located in a quiet locality, which is very near to the Zurich lake promenade and city centre walkable with a tram starion 200 mtrs away.. The staff was extremely courteous, especially Mr. Philip at the reception as well was the lady in the restaurant. We had a wonderful stay at this place and would recommend this to visitors who are looking for a quiet, neat and clean place to stay.

Not really disliked,but a negative point was since it was a vintage property, the elevator was very small .

The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes from a train station and a block from the tram, and one street from Lake Zurich. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the included breakfast was delightful with the prettiest eggs I've ever seen (weird to say perhaps but true). We had room A, the attic, which was a huge comfortable room with a super comfy bed, a great view, a nice big clean bathroom, and air conditioning. We loved everything about our stay.

We were genuinely happy with everything.

The hotel is really charming, with retro posters on walls in the corridors. I like the interior of the hotel lobby ad restaurant, stylish and not super modern. The room was spacious. The breakfast is good. The terrace of the restaurant is not big, but really lovely. The hotel is located not far from the city centre, easy to reach by public transport, in a quiet district without tourist crowds and too much traffic.

It can be a bit noisy at night if your room is overlooking the street with traffic, and a bit hot in summer.

The staff was very kind and helpful and gave a personal touch to the experience. Breakfast was exceptional (better than other Swiss hotels I have visited which cost more) - the cheese, ham and avjar in particular are very delicious. One can tell the hotel put genuine thought into the breakfast selection. Great location.

The room size (we booked the smallest room) is smaller than expected but it wasn't cramped - such a room also does not have air-conditioning.

I really liked that you could open the window and that there wasn't any strange air conditioning / heating systems (just usual central heating) that whirr that you often get in hotels. The in room fridge was super quiet. The bed was very comfortable and you could choose a pillow type to suit you. Breakfast was very nice.

I really liked the hotel and would stay there again.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful area close to the lake of Zurich. The staff on reception and breakfast were all very helpful, kind and polite! Their professional attitude made our stay very pleasant and relaxing! The room was very clean! There was everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of cheeses, ham, yogurt and fresh fruits and vegetables. There were multiple types of Swiss breads and pastries. It was possible to leave our luggage after checking out which we really appreciate!

The room is quite small, so do the bathroom. Even the bathroom sink was not in the bathroom but in the corridor.

Quiet location in central Zurich. Very friendly staff who greeted every guest with a smile and were always very helpful. Good breakfast. Good-sized, very clean rooms,. I don't often sleep well when away on trips but with a comfortable bed and no outside noise I slept well at this hotel. Just a few steps away from the lakeside where there is a long, wide pedestrian area (suitable for an early morning or mid-afternoon run). A tram stop just one block away.

No negatives

Such a lovely, quiet, and comfortable hotel. The staff make it feel like home. They are all so helpful and welcoming. Beautiful breakfast, drinks and snacks easily available to add to room bill, even beer, drinks, fruit, and chocolate in each room. Very nice area near the lake, shopping, tram access, and a square nearby with cafés, and chocolate shops.

I can think of nothing that I didn't like. I would definitely stay again.

We had a good stay in Hotel Seegarten. The room was pretty small but it's not an issue for us. It's not air-conditioned but there's a fan in the room. Everything there was nice and clean. Staff was friendly, and the breakfast, despite nothing fancy, was good enough for us to enjoy our mornings at the terrace.

I don't know whether Zurich is always this warm or what (I've read a few reviews talking about the same issue, we were there mid June), but I wish the hotel could provide a better fan, at least one that's less noisy and can consistently keep both sleepers cool. Even as someone coming from a tropical country, I had a hard time getting used to the temperature in the room. The temperature did go lower in the middle of the night, but it's not too pleasant when I was trying to fall asleep.
