The owner of the hotel was lovely and the hotel itself was very clean, cozy and the location couldn't be better situated. I chose the economy room with the shared bathroom (as described on the website) and was very pleased with my choice. The toilet and shower that where shared were very clean and I never even met another guest using the shower - so no wait time at all. The room is equipped with a sink, a hairdryer, a bathrobe, a microwave, a small fridge, a ventilator for hot summer nights and an adapter for those who forgot that Switzerland has different power outlets than e.g. austria (I'm speaking of myself.. I forgot that 😅). There is a busstation right in front of the hotel and it's only a short walk by foot to the lake. All in all it was a great stay and I'm looking forward to visiting the Aparthotel from family Hugenschmidt again 😊

For me it was not a problem at all, but i guess elderly people or people with special needs could have a problem with the stairs (I think there was no elevator).

The two bedroom apartments are very spacious and thoughtfully decorated. The location is superb. The tram to the city centre (7 minutes) is right outside. The lake is a short walk (5 minutes) away. The area is vibrant, but not too busy. Lots of lovely restaurants, cafes, bars, and bakeries, in very close proximity. The proprietors are extremely helpful and very friendly people.We have stayed here several times before and love it.

The location was great. We were travelling with our toddler, so it was nice to be near the lake, some playgrounds, and bakeries. Good supermarket nearby too. It was also near the light rail transit line. The property was super clean, nice, and well equipped. Our apartment was also very quiet, and we were on the ground floor.

It was nice to have baby items for our toddler (like a high chair, some toys and the crib), but the 15 CHF per day (not per night) was on the expensive side, IMO.

Wow. You will not find a more immaculate hotel anywhere. Our room (#12) was a corner room with two large windows and a very large comfortable bed. The huge beautifully appointed bathroom had another large window…and was, of course, absolutely gleaming. The hotel is in a lovely upscale neighbourhood steps to the tram and a few blocks to the lake with lots of grocery, bakery and cafes nearby. And to to top it off, the mom and daughter team who own and manage the hotel are absolutely delightful. Highly recommended.

The apartment was well appointed with everything you would need to enjoy your stay at this family owned exceptional boutique hotel. The hosts were attentive and informative as to how to maximize our stay in Zurich. The hotel is ideally situated near the lake, restaurants, shopping, and transportation yet is located on a quiet street.

The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed and exceptionally well cleaned, the cleanliness and tidiness puts most 5 star hotels to shame. The location is excellent, just a short tram ride to Zurich HB. The host was superb and very helpful with local tips and making our stay comfortable.

It can get a bit noisy outside on Friday and Saturday nights until about midnight, we closed the windows and turned on the AC which worked quite well and blocked most of noise so wasn't a big issue for us.

the location is very convenient, right in front of the tram station and nice restaurants and bakeries are nearby. I stayed in a room with shared bathroom, but shared with only another room so it was just like private. For the most, the owner is so wonderful and very kind. Definitely, I'd love to stay here again.

Spotless room on ground floor in discrete location. Quiet, windows good for controlling temperature in room, great for a single person to have the space. Had everything I needed plus extras if you needed power convertors, decent hairdryer etc. Very nice family check in made me feel welcome and contacted me before arrival and was well prepared to receive me. Adjusted the room stay hours to meet my needs, which was really appreciated. The 24/7 coffee machine was great - as I had an early start so could grab coffee before I left. Was able to prepare ready meals in room with small fridge and microwave plus crockery/cutlery etc. Room was very well located to tram line but not noisy. Also in the flat part of Zurich. Lots to walk to from the location, or 2-3 stop tram ride to the centre of Zurich. Bed was very comfortable, slept well.

The shower is in the main part of the room which was a little odd, but was nice shower just the same!

I made the booking for two friends, a newlywed couple. According to them, the owner was very kind and accommodating. They loved the open windows in the room and found the bed to be very comfortable. Also, they really appreciated the sweet little extras the owners did for their “honeymoon”. They would recommend.

Thé location is great. Thé place is modern clean and comfortable AND has AC. So close to the lake and just a few minutes ride on the tram to the center of town
