First - THERE IS FREE PARKING AT THIS HOTEL. We noticed that error when we were booking and saw that it had been addressed in the question section. But it would have been unfortunate to miss it, since our initial search used the filter of Free Parking and missed this one. I mentioned it to the hotel staff and they say that they’ve tried to fix it with Booking. This is a nice little suburban hotel located on an attractive neighborhood. Hotel has a lot of character - loved having breakfast outside overlooking the stream. We used it as a base to explore the Poughkeepsie area and enjoyed seeing the neighborhoods on the way downtown. The hotel shows some age but the room was huge by most standards.

The breakfast was a bit barebones but worked fine for us: eggs, toast, and yogurt. There was a fire alarm beeping in a nearby vacant room and the staff took care of it immediately. Thanks!

This hotel is a good value. My two-queen room was modern, large, and very comfortable. The location overlooking the stream and former mill pond is tranquil, and one can enjoy the breakfast on an outdoor patio listening to the water and watching the birds. For folks who want to ride the Dutchess rail trail bike path, access is quite close--you can start from the hotel.

There was a [probably temporary] salt problem with the hotel tap water, so you might need bottled drinking water if you are medically sensitive.

The stream near the hotel where you can sit out on the veranda was very calming and relaxing. The breakfast offered was good and free. Close to gas stations and stores. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My cell phone wasn't working 😕 due to the location. I believe because we were in the mountains

This was my last night of a three week trip. I was exhausted and from check-in on the staff did everything to help me have an exceptional stay. The room was spotless and had a gorgeous view of the river. The view of the falls made you feel like you were in a restful resort. The outdoor patio was the best way to relax and enjoy a great breakfast.

Front desk staff was awesome, especially Oretha, who was so helpful working out my reservation. Highly recommend.

I would like to see a cell phone charging station in the rooms. I ended up with a non -working phone because I didn't have a charging plug with me. Other places I've stayed have offered that service.

Great location. Unusual layout, which we really liked. Nice view of a stream from the room instead of a parking lot. We would stay again if passing through the area.

Breakfast was decent, but could have been a little better.

The location was great. it was very clean and nice breakfast variety. View was pretty and enjoyed seeing the birds. Friendly and helpful staff.

Dining room could be warmer and windows cleaner. We had a room with two queen beds but it was tight on the one side of each bed to get in and out. No towel rack by sink. Drain in tub was slow.

Breakfast was good but the fancy coffee machine was not working just the plain coffee. My view of the river and falls was spectacular. I loved the fact I could open the windows to listen to it all night

We absolutely loved the terrace overlooking the falls. Very relaxing! We ate “alfresco” several times. The room was very clean and the breakfast included was good. The staff was friendly especially Oretha, who took her time to suggest different things to do in the area.

Older facilities but so well maintained. Amazing river views to enjoy while eating your breakfast. Very quiet and comfortable.

Being an older facility the shower could use an update but not a deal breaker by any means, only pointed it out because it ask for something.
