The location is absolutely perfect if you are working on the Hill during your visit. Lots of options for dining and easy access to Metro

The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations and one has to be a tad patient as there are some inconveniences, such as only one lift, but the staff are brilliant and genuinely make an effort to ensure your stay is comfortable.

It was a charming location, near a Metro line and close to the Capitol, mall, and in a lovely neighborhood with fantastic food options, from diner style to sushi, and everything in between. Staff were amazing, friendly, polite.

The continental breakfast did contain hot food items - eggs, potatoes, and a meat - plus the usual pastries, bagels, cereal, etc. However, there was no variation, except whether it was a sausage type meat or sausage patties. The pastry options were exactly the same every day. Got a lil boring by day 5. Also, they had no soap because of a delivery delay, so we were using bath/shower gel (provided) to wash our hands

Absolutely fantastic hotel; the very best I have ever been to in DC or elsewhere. The staff is great: welcoming, kind and always ready to help. I was placed in a room bigger than the one I had initially booked, without additionnal fees and for me to get to be able to check in and rest earlier - such a pleasant surprise! My room was huge and came equipped with lots of amenities including a kitchenette. It was very quiet and calm; the ideal place to rest after a day out. It was very clean and the bed was beyond comfy. Breakfast is served every morning in a room next to the hotel; large choice and overall very good. Coffee and tea are always available near the lobby (definitely a plus!). It's also possible to leave luggages at the hotel before checking in and after checking out for free. The Capitol and the Mall are close by and the hotel is located in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Thanks so much to the whole team for making my stay so special! - Alia

Everything was perfect!

Perfect location, clean, comfortable, quiet, great value, energetic and super helpful staff, bikes to borrow (we used them every day), half a block to metro, walking distance to almost everything we needed, we never needed a car, very basic breakfast included.

For its location, the hotel was a great deal. Are there things it could improve? Absolutely. But quite frankly the hotel met all the most important criteria (amazing location, clean, super comfortable, great staff, and rooms that are a decent size for an urban location). Would I use it for a romantic get-away? Probably not. Would I used it every time I come to DC for work or to be a tourist? Absolutely?

Location was amazing! Very pleasant short walk to Capitol , Supreme Court. slightly longer walk to othe other monuments/memorials, museums. staff very friendly, attentive. Valet parking was easy, breakfast included was basic continental with a few warm items (but you have to walk next door). nice surrounding neighborhood, safe! cucumber-mint water in lobby a treat; and the L’Occitane shower products a nice touch. bed was comfortable.

Overall, a bit dingy/worn in contrast to photos. Smelled occasionally of strong cigarette odor in lobby. our 2nd floor hall/room did not smell fresh.

the rooms are wonderful they look like a little apartment , they smell clean and they are clean they have a small kitchen and a small table with two chairs a small bathroom witch I would prefer a little bigger but it was OK it also have a big walking closet and its only 5 min walk from the Capital Which was a plus for us-  ours was facing back of the city but it was still a beautiful view … I bet the others rooms probably face the capital i’m not hundred percent sure about that but you could ask :) breakfast was continental but it tasted so good to me.. they serve potato wedges with color peppers and I don’t know what they put in it but they taste so good ! they also had eggs, juice, coffee tea , chocolate, croissant, bagels ,yogurts etc.. they use Real silverware and plates ( but also the plastic the ones ) The staff was very friendly ! and Right on the corner almost in front of the hotel there is a beautiful church sadly we only stayed there for a day but we still enjoyed it just be aware that restaurants are super expensive in Washington :) other than that we had a great visit .

It was pretty close to what we wanted to visit, could walk to the Capitol, the Tidal Basin and all the museums. The room was spacious.

The heating system didn’t work in the living room and they offered a heating device instead. Judging by what the person sent to check on the heat said, they kind of knew that it doesn’t work, and yet we were giving the suite, having also 2 little kids with us. Also, the site mention having “parking on site”. it’s kind of weird, they have valet parking, they just take your car and you don’t know where they are parking it, if you need it, they will bring it to you. They even keep your car keys for the stay. The breakfast it’s not very attractive, could use a lot of improvement.

Rooms were clean. Very conveniently located, less than half a mile from US Capitol building. Safe neighborhood. Very friendly and courteous front desk. There was well functioning laundry as well, easy to use with credit cards.

There were two buildings. Front desk/laundry/gym was in one building while a set of rooms were in another building. Breakfast was in the 2nd building. Microwave didn't work, one of the stove didn't work. Before handing off, the hotel should inspect these thing.

This is one of the nicest pet-friendly hotels! Clean and welcoming. No pet smells in the room. Staff was not intrusive. Loved the coffee/hot chocolate/ tea station that's always available. In the cold weather, it was a welcoming sight. Hotel room had plenty of towels, and there were robes, too. Loved that the kitchenette had a Keurig. Be brought our own Keurig pods and creamer. Small bottle of liquid detergent was also available in the kitchenette. Front desk staff and valet were super nice. Housekeeping staff were friendly and let me borrow the vacuum cleaner (we declined housekeeping for the days we stayed because we brought our cat along). The hotel is very close to Capitol South Metro Station. Excellent location, as the major train lines are just right there, and you can get on any of the trains to the Smithsonian and other areas quite easily. Also, the hotel is just in walking distance of the Library of Congress, Supreme Court and Capitol Hill. There are some nice restaurants nearby, some of which are open well past 10 pm, which is super convenient.

Breakfast was a bit "meh." It was the same thing every day. I was hoping for a bit of a change up. Not a deal breaker, though. Props to the breakfast staff for clearing tables quickly! There must be some construction going on in the building. Heard some hammering and drilling sounds at around 7:15 am, which woke us up. We never asked about that, but it's probably something temporary.

The reception desk was wonderful. Robert was helpful and pleasant throughout my stay. All of the staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The breakfast was substantial and hot and you were given enough time to enjoy it without disturbing your comfortable sleep too early. The toiletries were superb and the room was comfortable and well equipped. Bicycles make it convenient to get around. Capital Mall, 8th Street gourmet ghetto and Eastern market are within walking distance!

The breakfast room could have been a bit bigger. It got crowded and I was in the other building (which I prefer) Maybe some pastries or snack throughout the day with the coffee offered would have been great tkeep you going in between museum visits.
