Location was amazing, staff was super friendly and the hotel was very clean. We would stay there again. Very dog friendly and understanding of our little nervous pup.

I wish that there were some drink vouchers like other IHG hotels we've stayed at. The bar is super pricey, even the happy hour prices were high. Also, I wish they would have mentioned that we could have gotten a dog bed delivered to the room, I didn't know until after I left and saw it on their site.

What an AMAZING hotel! The decor was gorgeous and unique. Not to mention the architecture of the building itself and its historical significance. As soon as we pulled up from the airport, the bellman met us at the car and grabbed our bags for us to help up the stairs, which was wonderful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and housekeeping kept our room clean throughout our stay without even having to make a request which exceeded our expectations. We ate at Dirty Habit twice for breakfast throughout our stay, which had delicious food and great service. We would have ate there more, but there are tons of other great restaurants across the street and within walking distance from the hotel. Wine hour was a great addition, and we made it there every night! Bryan took great care of us the first part of the week, making sure our glasses stayed full throughout the hour. He quickly noticed that I liked prosecco, so he made sure there was always some on ice for me! And later in the week when he wasn't there, Markos did a great job after. We were sad to leave when our stay was over. The staff certainly made us feel like family, and we hope to come back again and again. Thank you Kimpton for an incredible experience!

Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

in a prime spot for nearby places to dine, coffee, shop, entertainment. whimsically took in a Capitals hockey game which was only a block away. communal bathrooms were gorgeous and property was clean.

not a place to have your young children at dark, 9 o’clock! i guess you could say that about most big cities, but walking a couple blocks away is not an option. exercise room was cramped and needed some updates to the machines.

The location is awesome for sightseeing. It's such an elegant building and it is well maintained, though our particular room was really just about as small as you can have for two people. The staff are friendly.

When I called to ask about parking, I was told there would be in-and-out parking service during the time of my stay. That may have been true at the time I called but I should have been told that that service was being discontinued just days before the dates of my reservation. If you drive, you're now on your own for figuring out parking unless you want to pay for expensive valet service. Also, on a less important note, how about putting in a vending machine for soda, water, etc.?

the history 100%!!! The building has so much historical significance, I was very surprised and intrigued by its history!!

The wedding tables lined up in our hallway, it was kind of an invasion of our space and privacy I wasn’t happy about that. I know with the price of our room that the wedding party problem spent 10X the amount we did but that wasn’t the point. the tables should not have been outside our room like they were. other than that, it was a great experience!!

The building is the sister to the Smithsonian Museum of Art, and it was once referred to as “perfectly designed’. It was almost burned down in the war of 1812, and it is rumoured to be haunted by a civil war widow. Recently, the public has renovated the exterior while the hotel chain has been responsible for the interior. Regardless, it’s a unique, boutique stay that stands out from the usual hotel.

The Architecture was fantastic as was the restaurant and bar. many room was exceptionally clean and the courtesy waters were great.

Mu room seemed to get very hot at night although the thermostat was set very low. I also did not see a gift shop for personal items.

It was a beautiful property, and the staff was excellent.

The valet parking should be included in the stay or at a discounted price since there isn't any onsite parking. It makes it a little hard to come and go without having to get a taxi or uber. The price can add up real quick.

the hotel restaurant isn’t great and kind of expensive and they automatically charged me 20% plus a delivery fee when I ordered takeout to take back to my room.

The bar closed at 11 pm on a Friday night AND on a concert night! We watched more than 50 people try to go in and get a drink. Big miss!!!!!
