Location is excellent and the staff where really friendly and welcoming. There was a good selection to the continental breakfast including fresh fruit. We had a minor issue, which was attended to without question as one would expect. (Well done!) This was a recently acquired and refurbished property to an excellent standard, with a garden that was very pleasant to sit out in. It will become lovely, when returned to its former glory, as the owner completes their planned restoration work on it. It was great to learn of those plans while chatting with the staff. Would certainly return here in the future.
Have no complaints, however visitors need to be thoughtful and not inconsiderate when parking, which during our stay they were.

This B&B is the best I have stayed in, probably ever (and if you look at my other reviews, you will See that I have never - up to date. said that about anywhere). At the price it was outstanding . The little car park snugly fits 4 cars. Room 1 is on ground floor. All the rest of the rooms are up a few stairs. There’s only 4 double rooms. Self check in. Easy and painless. Room was lovely. Clean and pleasant, everything that you would want for a few nights stay. They have got this place just right. Everything there which one needs. Kettle. Tea making facilities. Hand soap, Small shower jells etc. lovely double waterfall shower with lots of hot water. Extremely clean. Room looked freshly painted and just the right amount of furniture. Wi-Fi amazing. I even watched now tv through my laptop on their smart tv. Hanging space. Hairdryer & clothes steamer . Continental breakfast of which the b&b supplied oat milk, vegan yoghurts, fruit, cereal and protein bars including toast with flora or jam.
If I had to give negatives and this is being really really picky, USB’s in the sockets would have been nice bonus and the TV was on the side wall to the bed (room 4) so would have been nice to have a pull out arm/stand to watch the tv from the bed, saying that, the chairs were very comfy to pull infront of the tv.

This is a beautiful property. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was also great - no cooked option but I've had enough of bacon, sausages and fried eggs. Plenty of choice available for self service continental. Would love to return at so.e point. Recommended.
Seems churlish to mention anything but in spirit of improvement, I think it could be improved with a shelf in shower , or something to put your shower gear on - and maybe a couple of hooks in bathroom for towels. Also - tv was in a position that wad not easy to watch and could not be tilted. Minor issues only.

My wife and I had a great time getting to know Kim this morning and it was wonderful to listen to someone who is so passionate about her place of work. We are currently doing the NC500 and we wish we could pick this place up and take it with us, as it was such a great stay. Would highly recommend!!😊👍
Absolutely nothing. The place was so clean, tidy, and well kept. Kim was so friendly and attentative at breakfast too. The only small change I would make would for there to be at least 1 milk alternative as the wife is lactose intolerant. This is not a massive issue but would've loved a cuppa!

This is an excellent place to stay in Tain. Very convenient for the railway station and the town centre. Good places to eat nearby - especially Platform 1864 and the St Duthus Hotel which are both within a 10 minute walk. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - everything offered was tasty and good quality. The facilities in the room were wonderful (especially the shower room and the smart TV) - much better than many hotels we've been stayed in.
Nothing to dislike about this guesthouse.

This is an absolutely beautiful house just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Tain. The rooms are newly renovated and really comfortable. Everything you need is there - toiletries, hairdryer, hangers and even a clothes steamer, which was really useful for my business trip. I mentioned that I need to avoid gluten (coeliac) and Kim had several options for me at breakfast - she also knew the importance of avoiding cross-contamination so kept everything separate. I was blown away by the warm welcome and thought the selection available at breakfast (even for those of us with dietaries) was incredible. The self check-in worked absolutely fine - my key was waiting and it was very clear where to go. This was useful as it allowed me the flexibility to arrive later, which may be important for those travelling on business.
I honestly can't think of anything negative.

Host was very cheerful and helpful at all times which gave a relaxed feeling on arrival and during my stay. The Guest House has recently been refurbished with excellent bathroom/Shower and spacious bright room. Breakfast was well presented with the host available to top-up the coffee, etc. Only four bedrooms so no feeling of being overcrowded at any point. Great restaurant/cafe at the Tain rail station, only a few minutes walk from the Guest House. Again, a short walk to fields and play park with extensive views across the Dornoch Firth.

Adorable guest house located steps from the train station and the beach. “Downtown” is a few blocks away. The St Duthus Villa is well kept and the staff is welcoming. My room felt homey, almost like I was in my old teenage bedroom. Nicely decorated with many thoughtful touches and amenities. Despite its nearness to the train depot, I never heard the train pass by. I was late for breakfast, so can’t comment on that, but the coffee pot was full, and I was encouraged to help myself. Wonderful experience.
No complaints to think of.

Comfortable, very clean, Kim, who we met in the morning was very friendly. Finding out that they had only just opened 2 weeks earlier, our room on the lower floor was quite spacious with private ensuite. selection of cereals, tea and coffee, toast, muffins, a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts for breakfast were available. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
nothing, everything was great.

Lovely room with lovely touches .. our room was very comfortable for the night we stayed .. Lovely large continental breakfast .. thank you
When we arrived my first impressions were not great as the property from the outside looked like it needed a tidy up but once inside it is lovely . We had a small bed which looks really nice but we didn’t find that comfortable. Struggled to find somewhere to eat without a booking
