Staff were fantastic. Food was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable

The one thing that was beyond the control of staff, and through no wrongdoing, was the room keycards malfunctioning. The situation was explained to me by the staff and manager, who apologised profusely. Again, no fault of their own, technological error, all that jazz. Couldn't be helped. Oh, and the thinness of the walls. The only other downside was hearing the couple next door copulate several times through the wall. But I got a good laugh out of it, though!

First of all: The most friendliest, fun and caring staff works in this lovely hotel! James greeted us at arrival, and he made sure that I got a better chair in our oom! Breakfast and dinner is just delicious, and the overall service is excellent. We stayed in room 11. It was a lovely,  clean and spacious room for the 2 uf us. It is not a room with a wiev, but we didn't mind at all. We enjoyed the coffee, tea and bisquits provided to us every day in our room. The room had housekeeping every day which was very nice. So fun to have followed The Townhouse Hotel on Facebook for so long, and finally see and meet these lovely people who makes this place dynamic and fun. Will definately stay here again!

All of the staff were 10/10, extremely friendly and welcoming, nothing was a problem for them, they kindly charged my phone up behind the bar a few times also as battery was dying- I forgot to pack mine and the shop across the road was closed early on a Saturday, the entertainment was brilliant - a singer called eilidh, there was a lovely atmosphere at the townhouse hotel- I live a 1 hour and 45 minutes drive away from here but I would definitely return to the townhouse hotel due to the lovely experience! Everywhere was very clean also. We had food from the restaurant which was 10/10 absolutely delicious, then had our breakfast the next morning which was lovely, great customer service on all points. We were in the bar for around 5 hours shortly after check in and some sight seeing as there was absolutely no need to leave and go elsewhere for drinks or food as everything was brilliant at the townhouse hotel.

I can't fault anything at all it was fantastic.

A comfortable room with plenty of wardrobe space, very clean, good shower but with a limited view out the window which was fine I was not there for the view. The name of the hotel explains the limited view. Excellent breakfast which unfortunately I was unaware it was not part of the room rate. However any variation on the set breakfast appeared to under the heading "too difficult" i.e. toast instead of the roll. This point should not detract from the overall excellent breakfast and friendly staff. From arrival to departure the staff were welcoming, friendly and easy to speak with. A good friendly team. A credit to the hotel and the company

Love the staff - always friendly here. Caitlin was fab and got us sorted for dinner on a very busy night! The food and drinks are great quality for money. The bed is very comfy. Rooms are always cosy aswell. Location is ideal for exploring.

Some of the furniture has sadly been vandalised by previous occupants. Stains on furniture/ flooring aren't major but do kinda take away from your stay. Sound proofing isn't great - if you have noisy neighbours good luck cos even if they are quiet you'll still hear them fart through the wall!

The room was spacious with a decent double bed, the ensuite facilities where spotlessly clean and extremely good. The room overall had sufficient hanging space for clothing and the decor was very beautiful rustic solid wood with a decent dressing table and seat. The breakfast came in a variety of choices and the set breakfast was just right for smaller appetites, whilst the Scottish breakfast more suited to the slightly larger appetite. The staff were absolutely lovely, very courteous and friendly. This was a beautiful place to stay.

Nothing about this place is not to like, there was a lack of parking directly by the hotel but the local parking a short walk away was excellent and free so again nothing to not like.

We loved that it was very clean and comfortable in the property.

We didn’t like the fact every time you went out somewhere and came back we had to keep coming down to change our key card because it wouldn’t work on the door. Also the price could be better I think I had to pay an extra £63 for an extra 1 night so total was about £400 and something which isn’t a fair or decent price if your struggling for money and had to stay in the room the last 3 days bored because you ran out of money so couldn’t buy no more food, drink or go out shopping anywhere. I think to make it because breakfast, dinner, tea and drinks should be provided in the price to you to stay then it be worth the money because there food and drink ain’t exactly cheap either £50 for me, my partner and 2 children to have something to eat and drink. 😩

The townhouse hotel is above a restaurant and pub and we both thought it would be rather noisy but once we were in our room it was so quiet, the bed was so comfy and the room was nice and large and very clean, in the morning we went down for breakfast which was beautiful, the hotel is situated within the shopping area of arbroath but only 5 minutes from the harbour also, definitely recommend

We stayed in the hotel room with disabilities handles in the bathroom which were very rushed and had left marks on the tiles.

Location, town centre, the staff were all delightful and cheery. Comfortable bed , great nights sleep. Other commitments meant we did not eat at the Townhouse. Judging by the volume of customers and plates filled with delicious looking food, we missed out on that. Good over bath shower. Warm room...daily housekeeping if wanted. Free parking in Hill Street behind the hotel . Some street parking. Shops just a minute away and shopping centre, Lidl, Asda all very near.

Creaking floorboards, but characteristic of the age of the building. All in all.....just great.

The room was very clean and spacious, a good size and bathroom spotless - Food was very good with lots of choices off a first class menu. Evening meals wide choices, good size portions and excellent value. I did not eat out as food was always something to look forward to. Liked the fact that you could pick your own items to your own liking for your breakfast. Thank you Town House, Loved the Cocktail menu ! I will be back.
