A really nice hotel, staff were lovely on the whole and excellent value for money with beautiful views. One member of staff was particularly complimentary about us and made us feel very welcome and happy. There is a decent bar with darts and pool which seems to be open literally whenever you want! The rooms are a decent size and there is plenty of storage within the room for unpacking your case into.

There was a very out dated comment about my female partner which I would just ask that the hotel staff think about what they say as there is no call to be old fashioned and offensive and it is a form of humour which has long died. Beyond that all the staff were very accommodating, friendly and more than happy to help.

The staff were very welcoming and very accommodating, they helped me and my partner by allowing us to leave our suitcases in their care while we had to wait around 10 hours for our train home and didn’t charge us anymore more money even though we had checked out at this point, which allowed us to spend our day in Blackpool more pleasurable as we didn’t have to carry the suitcases. The room was good for the price we paid for 2 nights.

Room small but very adequate indeed. Beautiful sea view. The room was exceptionally clean and nice soft towels. Breakfast was lovely. The staff were the best hosts. Welcome was good and the lady serving breakfast well 10 out of 10, such a lovely caring person.

The hotel was a little run down in public areas but taking into consideration after being closed during Covid, the hospitality sector suffered so much with loss of income it will take a while for them to attend to every bit of maintenance required for a large traditional hotel. So take that in mind and otherwise the stay was great at the Colwyn.

The location is alright for us as a couple think the kids would of struggled distance wise though due to the location. Easy parking, staff friendly. Can’t comment on food or pub as we just used the room as a base for sleeping.

Having the lift work would of been a bonus as we was on the top floor🤣 got our steps in though climbing them a few times a day

The Hotel had a family feel about it, everyone was friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay more pleasant. The bed was extremely comfortable and the heating was on 24/7 (although you could put off the radiator in the room by choice). Hot water was also plentiful. Although we didn't use them, there was tea and coffee making facilities as well as a TV in the room, I would definitely recommend The Colwyn!

Shower wasn't the best, bit slow on flow but it was adequate for purpose, also there was a window in our room that wouldn't close, that said these weren't a huge issue

Location was brilliant for us as it was the quiet end of prom The tram and bus stop was opposite hotel . Rooms had sea views which was good when you are back and have a cup of tea and watch the world go by There was plenty of tea and coffee and staff was very friendly and bar was open till late after we got back after a day out....this was our Second stay and will definately stop there again

Only one problem was that we were on third floor and lift was broken.... lot of stairs

Breakfast was amazing Staff were great Pet friendly Great hotel for the price I paid £47 for the night with my partner and our dog in a double room and that was with 2 full english breakfasts in with the price.

Nothing really,it could with a bit of decorating but nothing major,wall paper and room a bit dated but you get what you pay for and all in all it was great value for money.

The location on the seaside and close proximity to all the attractions. The hotel is an excellent place to stay if you plan on visiting the pleasure beach park or for strolls on the promenade.

I believe the rooms could be bit better by removing the carpets. It did give a vintage feel to the place.

I was in a single room and was very pleasantly surprised, the bed was a small double but still plenty of space in the room, free car park, free evening entertainment, sea view, free WiFi in room, clean and airy room and throughout the hotel, good powerful shower with hot water, pleasant staff, breakfast available, excellent location...for the price I paid for 2 nights on a bank holiday weekend this hotel is amazing value for money and I will definitely be booking next time I visit Blackpool

There weren't any real dislikes

Cozy rooms and a great location with easy acces public transport and a cozy downstairs area with pool tables. Comfy beds and very clean! Staff were lovely and accommodating, John was amazingly helpful! Will definitely stay again :D

Bathroom was quite small and the shower not very powerful, but does the job
