I thought it was an absolutely beautiful hotel with great facilities and a very good price for a 4 star hotel. The pool and jacuzzi were great, the restaurant was fantastic and the food was great quality and tasted amazing, would definitely recommend the breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and made you feel very welcome.

The only shame was that the sauna and steam room weren't working when I went and the showers close to the pool were running cold.

The location is fantastic. The hotel meets all needs.

We had a ‘cosy double’ room, do NOT book this unless you’re travelling alone. It’s basically a single room with four pillows on the bed to look like a double. My hubby slept on the floor, I wish he hadn’t as he had a dreadful night sleep. I complained to the reception about this. The room had one bedside lamp and one bedside table, definitely a single room. Their only reply was you have to book a large double room, when I read the bed sizes, it’s a standard 4’6”!!! We’re small people and despite this we’re very uncomfortable and felt cheated. £140 for one night for two in a single bed.

The location is excellent. Have stayed here before.

We stayed here again as they allow dogs. On arrival, we were told that the policy had changed due to new owners. So dogs were no longer permitted but current booking were being honoured. We were then charged extra for each night for the dog. This wasn’t explained when booking. Such a shame as we won’t be able to stay here again as we cannot take our dog. We also could not eat in the restaurant for breakfast and had to sit in the bar / reception area which involved waiting for service. Again, I actually contacted the hotel before booking and they said we could eat in the restaurant. Other than the doggie issue, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the hotel, though rooms a bit dated now, was an enjoyable stay.

The rooms were very comfortable and had everything you needed. Location is excellent. Breakfast average... good choice but not the best quality.

4 o'clock check-in is very late. We arrived at 2 and was told our would not be ready until 4. We left our bags and when we returned much later in the evening there were no staff at reception. Along with other guests we waited for around 15 minutes for someone to arrive they were very rude and unhelpful. Our previous experience with the reception staff had been great but the night staff had a very bad attitude.

Lots of different places to sit and relax - lovely lounge with plush chairs, plenty of comfy seating in the garden. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. Luxurious surroundings at a decent price. Everything was scrupulously clean, I even chatted with one of the housekeepers who was dusting the skirting boards - what attention to detail! Superb hotel, I felt welcomed by the whole team. I actually had to force myself to go out exploring Bournemouth, because I could have quite happily spent my whole weekend lazing around at the hotel and never venture out. Thank you so much to all the lovely staff who made my stay a wonderful experience 💜

I actually can't think of one single thing, minor quibble that the breakfast routine was a bit chaotic, I was never quite sure what I should order from the waiting staff and what I should collect myself from the buffet, as they were bringing guests items from the buffet as well as cooked breakfasts from the kitchen. It might simplify things to have the whole range of food self-service. But having said that, no fault at all with the food itself, well cooked and a nice range of items (particularly nice having vegetarian sausages - not all hotels offer that as part.of their vegetarian breakfast.)

Excellent service, room comfortable and clean , bathroom with a deep bath and shower, bit dated , but clean , iron and ironing board, hairdryer, plenty of hanging and drawer space , tea making facilities, lovely creaky old building , breakfast included . Great location, central to most walking facilities, plenty of sockets , yes would book again .

Not complaining about breakfast as full English was excellent, early morning (8 o clock ) nothing on help yourself table , eg juice, cereals yogurts, bread for toast , ect.. as a coach party checking out , only 2 staff available serving and seating guests, worked very hard , to please, would recommend more staff at this very busy time , as tables were not cleared and quests were left waiting, and when seated could not help themselves as nothing on table , and poor girl running around trying to please everyone and do her upmost to serve hot drinks and cooked breakfast , best to have a lie in Sunday morning but we were checking out , 4 adults ,and wanted to be on our way , as 3 hr drive back to Midlands, but breakfast was excellent when served .

The staff was super friendly! We liked the location, the parking and the room. It was a surprise that the balcony was carpeted and it was really comfy during the day and evening just to chill out. The swimming pool was large enough to do some swimming. We felt we could order as much as we wanted for the breakfast.

The hotel feels a little dated. The sofa on the balcony definitely could use an update and the paint in the swimming pool was early nineties. The breakfast menu didn't change and unlike other hotels the buffet was very limited - basically you had to order a la carte.

Location was fab. Car park useful but a little overpriced at £16 per night. Great asset having a fridge in the room and very spacious. Had 2 large singles pushed together as a queen, a sturdy bunk bed, a sofa and still lots of space. Having a pool and whitlpool a bonus too.

Dripping bath tap and sink and bath very stained - definitely in need of an upgrade. Pool was not good for children ( or weak swimmiers) as only a very small area to stand in then huge sudden drop. May have missed it but access to hotel ftom car park not good for carrying luggage as lots of stairs.

Everything was fine, pleased the room had a fan and an iron, very well positioned for the town centre and the beach. I would stay here again. Car felt safe in the underground car park.

Shame that drinks purchased at the bar couldn't be put onto the room bill and the woman at the reception looked at me with such a serious face on the Sunday that I had to ask what was wrong with her? She was too interested in talking to a guest about photos. I just wanted to purchase a bracelet, the other woman, who was new apparently was a lot better, she at least managed a smile, whereas the other one gave me a look more akin to a death stare!

The room was lovely and spacious. We used the pool and hot tub which were both clean and warm. The location was great, not too far to the beach or local shops.

The fridge in our room was not very clean and smelt horrible, but was still handy to use for water on hot days. The pillows were too hard which made them uncomfortable to sleep with even when you only used one. We paid for breakfast on the first morning and it was nice, however the portion was small, the eggs were cold, and my toast was very burnt and when you are spending £30 for 2 of us to eat we thought it was a lot of money and not enough on the plate.
