Friendly welcoming, helpful staff. Very clean and very warm, at times too warm. Very good range of furniture and facilities in the room. Small settee as well as desk area, comfy bed, wardrobe space etc. Nicely appointed bathroom. WE had asked for a quiet room and that request had been granted but it was a long way off so the hotel was able to arrange transfer to another room closer to reception. Good and easy car parking. Nice grounds though it being winter we were not able to make use of them. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Music from the restaurant began at 7.00 am and we could hear it from our room. WE asked that the start time be changed till later and it was. So again very responsive and helpful.

Don't know where to start if I'm honest. We had to extend our stay due to a blizzard and icey weather conditions. Originally only wanted an overnight stay. Turned into 3 nights. All staff during this time went above and beyond to make the whole process as easy as possible for me and my husband. Very welcoming and outstanding customer service. *The two gentlemen on reception on Monday the 06-01-25 and Tuesday the 07-01-25 10/10 👍 *To the two men who spent 2 days shovelling the drive and paths to make it safe. Hats off 👏 *Food is absolutely delicious. I recommend the chicken tikka masala. 10/10 and room service available. Also, pet friendly 🐕 Lovely and clean ✨️ Amazing value for money and such a beautiful gothic building with amazing views. Top marks from Mr&Mrs Rowley

Location is excellent for reaching cities, and countryside. Easy to access. Car parking top rate Receptionist, Julie, deserves a medal. She dealt with a problem with an agitated guest calmly and professionally. The guest was a little bit rude to her, but she handled him so well, it was a joy to see her in action Room: QUIET! Clean and pleasant, bed comfortable. Good shower. Pleasant outlook Breakfast: Good selection, well prepared. Staff so helpful Seems to me that staff are well trained here .

No complaints. But a grab rail by the front steps would have been helpful to me And, not the hotel's fault - cigarette ends thrown on the floor at the front entrance spoiled the look. But that is people! Why do smokers think that that is OK is beyond me

Bed was comfortable, room was small but pleasant. Had a bathtub which I loved. The scenery outside was quite nice, as well as the entrance and reception. I only used my room to sleep in at night, as I stayed out all day.

My room's window faced the back of the hotel and I often smelled cigars outside, there was also a lot of noise from staff often. Found one too many spiders in my room too. The room was a bit hot but the hallway was much worse (I went in June). Had to request a hairdryer, as there was none in the room despite it being listed as a commodity. The tea offered was not so great, too little sugar too, but I liked the instant coffee. The bed covers were too thick for June. Walls were a bit too thin, I could hear everything from the rooms next to mine. Had to walk a lot to actually reach my room, too.

Staff very friendly. The cleaner for the room was really nice.

Didn't like it when I opened the curtains and found the windows running with condensation and the white pvc was black with mould. It really was gross. Also got woken up 4.38 am by some unearthly loud music. Don't really know what was going on there. This went on for about 20 mins then finally things went quiet. Consequently never got back to sleep ,in the end had shower packed my bag and prepared to check out. I was only staying overnight but if my stay had been longer I would have been really miffed.

Mercure Bradford Bankfield Hotel provided exceptional service from the moment I called ahead to inform of my estimated time of arrival, Julie on reception provided outstanding service was incredibly pleasant and professional. Upon arrival, Julie went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything which set a really good tone for the stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and serene, a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday. My room was comfortable and spacious, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape, which added to the overall sense of tranquillity. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay and I'm already planning to visit again. Thank you Julie : )

Looked like there was lots of accessible natural landscape with possible access to the river Aire from the maps but sadly this was not the case although the large front garden with benches etc was very nice. Also no nearby shops or cafe's. However for the price and pleasant nature of all the staff - overall it was brilliant!

I have been several times and I feel safe and comfortable there. The reception staff on duty when I was there were exceptionally helpful and friendly. My room was warm with the option of good ventilation, the bed was comfortable and cosy and the kettle etc were clean and in good working order. The breakfast food was lovely, fresh and with great variety and all the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.

Everything was good and the staff were excellent! However the bath was fine for a shower but I couldn’t have the luxurious soak in the bath because it looked disgusting. It was very, very discoloured and the surround of the plug was damaged a lot and very rusty. Be warned future guests- don’t accept room 131 unless the bath has been replaced. Apart from that everything was clean and comfortable and in good working order, and I will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was cozy, the staff were very friendly and there was a nice variety to chose from at breakfast.

The only thing that spoiled our visit was the fire alarm. It went off 4 times in the night on Friday night, then another couple of time on Saturday night. On Saturday we spoke to a gentleman on the reception desk and he advised there was dust in one of the alarm sensors but it had all been cleared, so for it to go off again that night was annoying and disturbed our sleep again.

The location was excellent for my intended visit. It was not without the inevitable shortcomings associated with "fading elegance", but nevertheless delivered exceptional value for money compared with alternative 3 star chains. It was handy for West Yorkshire, but I will even consider it as a base for future visits to North Yorkshire.

I would have been happier had the heated towel rail worked (in an unheated bathroom). It had been disconnected. It meant the bath towel was still a tad damp the following day.

Ah the Mercure a fine establishment within easy traveller access. With extremely helpful and welcoming staff who I witnessed solving client accommodation needs with smiles and tact I knew I would be on to an enjoyable stay. After finding my room and gaining access I noticed how spacious it was with a view of the hills. The bed was extremely comfortable, shower was excellent. After attending an event in nearby Bingley I returned and was able to have a pleasant nightcap before retiring for the night. I slept well and then went down for breakfast. Ah perhaps the highlight of my stay. What can one say about the array of delightful foodstuffs that my eye surveyed. From cereal , fresh fruit to a choice of continental or cooked breakfast. There was also vegan options too. Self service made it easier for oneself to choose which items I felt like enjoying. I felt under no pressure at all to eat up within a certain time frame. Although I had noted that the reception displayed three different time periods to choose from dependant on your needs. An excellent stay I will return

The card entry key took a little while to master. perhaps a card swiper may be easier. Some more signage to indicate the location of rooms would make finding them easier.
