The rooms are so comfortable, shower is amazing. Nice and quiet. Apart from the odd door banging from other guests. The guys in the Black Sheep were so friendly. Remembered it was my birthday after only saying it once and he gave me a birthday cake on him x x lovely place. Didnt want to leave

One night we had a door from another near by room bang shut really loudly a good 10 times. The last time was well past 1am we always try to shut the door quietly when leaving instead of letting it slam shut. I think guests should be more considerate. Also, I have osteoarthritis in my back and would of loved to have a bath in the room.

There is a reason this place is always booked up. Yes its ideal location for work (hence all business travelers) but its just so practical, clean and easy. I have been coming for years and its my Fave place to stay, I just cant afford their busy/peak Tuesday rates. Staff are fantastic and the Manager is one of the nicest most helpful people. comfy beds, great showers, nice breakfasts, decent coffee and come/go as you please.

The Fire alarm. Its getting a bit of a reputation with the local businesses for "being the hotel with the faulty fire alarm" 5 colleagues on different occasions have all had this issue with the fire alarm going off more than once in middle of the night. I know some have been told its a spider, as I was.... Have a word with the spider will you please?

This place is conveniently located near the motorway outside of Bristol. Check-in was across the street in the "posher" hotel of this chain, which was fine. The room was spacious and clean, internet worked very well, lots of parking in front of the door. I didn't have to pay for parking because I stayed over the weekend; it may be different during the week.

I know that Bristol is an expensive location, but seeing that this hotel is nearly 20 minutes away from the city centre, it seemed a bit on the pricey side. Also, the food in the restaurant in the "posher" hotel of this chain was too expensive for what it was. It was fine and staff was helpful, but I felt the price–performance ratio was off.

First of all, the room was designed beautifully; a complete surprise. The floor layout, the shapes of the space, the artwork in such unusual sizes, the lighting. It was a delight. The blinds were a real treat compared to grey nets and the bed was wonderful. It was an easy walk to the bar and restaurant at the main hotel and we simply loved it. Again, the interior design was perfect for purpose and exceeded expectations in quality of art, use of space and lighting.

The only thing was limited access to easy public transportation to get us into Bristol. We felt a little cut off, but because the venue was so wonderful, it was OK.

Lovely for a budget hotel. Check in at Aztec West Hotel just over the road was only a very short walk and very easy. Comfortable bed and spacious room and bathroom. Hairdryer and tea/coffee with kettle provided. Location was great for us (we live in Bristol but as south as it gets, so stayed here as it was only a 6 minute taxi ride from a party in Bradley Stoke - value of this hotel meant it was the equivalent to if we had got a taxi back to where we live). It is on the M1 bus route (and T1 with a slightly longer walk to the stop) for anyone looking to go in and out of the City Centre but stay here for better value. Would stay again! Free parking over the weekend was a bonus.

The bathroom door couldn’t be locked as it doesn’t shut easily, but once given a big push it does eventually click and stays shut. Frosted glass bathroom door feels slightly awkward but you couldn’t actually see the person in there. Bathroom supplies are slightly limited and to note toilet cleaning brushes aren’t provided in rooms. You have to bring a physical payment card to check in over the road, even if you want to pay via your Booking.com payment method. The card machines aren’t set up for the Lodge so no Apple Pay available etc.

Lovely rooms, clean and had all the facilities needed. Comfy beds, we had a great nights sleep.

Wasn't made aware at the time of booking that we had to go across the road to the aztec to book in as no reception at the lodge. Got bags out of the car to then realise we had to go over the road. We weren't the only ones unaware of this. A lady also staying hadn't realised she had to book in elsewhere. It didn't affect our stay and will definitely be staying again, maybe just mention this at the time of booking so others are aware.

Room on the ground floor were easy accessible. Enough space inside the room and has all the amenities needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The parking facilities are excellent and is free to park your car for the duration of your stay. The lodge has a restaurant where you can purchase food, drinks and snacks, which is ideal as you do not have to drive to different place to buy food and drinks.

I like some fresh air in the room, but struggled to open the window. Once I managed to open it, the window frame was covered in spider webs and a big spider was peaking out. I immediately closed the window again.

Very tasty and fresh food! Both for evening meal and breakfast. The hotel also doesnt use those plastic milk pots for your teas and coffees but instead provide you with a glass jar to fill up using the chilled fresh milk dispenser. Love their sustainability efforts too!

The bathroom in our room we felt was abit dated and in need of some tlc. However, it was clean and tidy and is only thing we didnt like. We loved everything else.

The room was very spacious and well designed. Bathroom also very spacious. The check in was relatively easy and the free parking at weekends is a real bonus. Ideally located off motorway (M5/M4). I believe you can also use facilities at sister hotel opposite Aztec where there is a lovely bar and swimming pool but the breakfast area for the hotel itself is more than adequate and it had a small bar too. Staff were lovely and rooms felt very secure and nicely decorated.

Room was very clean, bed & bedding was so comfy. Lovely big bath room with powerful shower, plenty of hot water & complementary soap/shower gel. All the Staff were so polite & very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, all cooked & served by a lovely lady. The housekeepers were happy & polite, always smiling.

Wasn't to fussed about the glass door to the bathroom, slight lack of privacy. Also there were no ports for charging phones or laptops. Didn't affect us as we took USB adaptor plugs with us.
