Very comfortable bed, nicely appointed room, clean, good bathroom, quiet, felt safe, free or low cost parking, easy access.

Having to wait too long to be checked in. It seemed a bit chaotic. My room key card not working on the second day - so I had to go to the Aztec Hotel to get a new one. I had used the phone in the corridor (someone else let me in the main door) but no answer. I used my own phone to contact the number. No answer. It was about 2115 and as a lone, older, female I was beginning to wonder what I should do. Room not being serviced on the second day. The housekeeper came to ask if I needed anything (towels, tea etc) and brought me what I said but when I got back in the evening the room had not been serviced. I think that, although it was at the time of the Bristol Balloon Festival so perhaps the price was increased, the price I paid for the room was not reflected in the service.

Two nights stay Fri to Sunday. Weekends it's free to park there. Continental breaky was nice, all fresh baked goods, juices, milk, cereal, fruit in plastic container, yogurts. Included is optional sausage or bacon bap, soooo nice! Room was fab, lots of space! Shower room had a powerful shower, but has a frosted glass door, so hope you're close to the person you stay with! Key card entry to room and block, which is super easy. Elevator to 2 floors. Service was good enough, they asked how your stay was. When we came back in the evening to find a nicely made bed, there was a shower towel missing but no biggy. Close to an Aldi (1 mile away) and a Toby Carvery (1 mile away) and Cribbs Causeway with the Mall, Vue cinema etc is not far away. City centre isn't close by but that's ok. Next to M5/M4 motorways. The hotel is in Aztec West, an area of offices, but it's surrounded by some nice greenery, a river and a path to take a walk. Didn't eat or drink at the Black Sheep other than breaky so can't comment on that. Overall, a very pleasant stay, super happy with the breaky, bed, shower and room! lots of space

Two tap sink instead of a mono tap, frosted shower room door which could be awkward. A towel was not replaced after the room was cleaned so we were left with only one. Only tiny gripes, if being picky.

This was a brilliant stay and included everything we needed. The restaurant next door (where you check in) is brilliant and the food is lovely. The room is big and the bed is so comfy too! the staff were all so helpful. Anything we needed they helped straight away and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning!

Literally the only things we had a little issue with was shutting the window in the room! but the manager was straight down to help so never caused us a problem again. The shower is brill and powerful but it did seem to leak a lot onto the floor so it ended up wet and slippery but that was literally it! apart from them two little things everything was perfect.

The bed and bedding was so very comfortable! I had traveled to Bristol for the Balloon fiesta and they did not fly on Saturday. Therefore I planned to go on Sunday morning as I’d paid for the parking. But knowing how uncertain these flights are I preferred to sleep in! Oh boy was it comfy ! The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and polite! All in all, a lovely place to stay, very clean and comfy. Thank you very much!

If I had to nitpick, a toilet brush would have helped. And a couple of biscuits with the morning tea please.

The room was generally well equipped and spacious. The bathroom area was very clean/modern and the wet room area had an excellent 'remote control' shower. Having access to 'filter' coffee was a nice touch. Location was good for me as I was using the local buses to get around and the service to most parts of Bristol and beyond is very good with stops no more than 200 metres away. The car park got busy but was free at weekends.

Block and room access was electronic keycard controlled but I still missed the fact that there was no room safe.

Check in was greeted by a "Karen" who was keen not to be pleasant or helpful, to find out that check in was in a different location, from our last visit and somehow, i should've known this??!!??!! and then, check in at this different venue was marred by a computer glitch and a faulty card machine and the venue doesn't take cash!! ...you couldn't write it! Other than that, mostly due to no need for human interaction, the weekend was perfect

The location is excellent, parking is great, rooms are lovely and always clean

From the exterior to reception to corridor and room, everything was clean and in good order. Bathroom had some nice touches: excellent push button power shower and heated bathroom mirrors. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We ordered room service and were told that, as the food came from the hotel across the road (they also own the lodge) that we’d have to collect the food ourselves due to ‘some health & safety issue). In the end when I went over there, they happily offered to bring it over

The rooms were excellent. Beautifully appointed, comfy bed, great shower. The let down was the restaurant next door. Evening meal, a long long wait all because of 'its busy'. Didn't look busy to me when looking around. The follow up was at breakfast, nobody wanting to tell you what there is, what you do etc unless you go hunting for answers. After having decided to buy three bacon baps. We were again waiting a long time to be served such a small breakfast. This time it was 'well I've only just put them in'. This isn't the way a business runs surely? If the restaurant next door ran like a restaurant should do, then you would have a real gem. As I am say, accomodation was fantastic.

looks basic from outside, sister hotel to the Aztec Spa, rooms were nicer than expected. warm with nice shower and room amenities

checkin was not easy, firstly there is a sign directing you to walk over the road to Aztec reception only to be sent back to the cafe next to this hotel to check in. staff were friendly but check in process was slow and after a 3 hour drive wasn’t ideal. room was on ground floor and near entrance door which could be heard from room when it opened.

Room very clean and well appointed. It was a very restful and quiet room location and had nearly everything we needed. The bathroom facilities were great - what a shower!! Breakfast was wonderful - early start available, and wonderful bacon bap plus very good continental fare - with Great coffee. We will definitely use the hotel again.

I like a very light bed covering and found the quilt very heavy and hot, particularly in this current weather. I have had this problem with other hotels. Pillows were ideal. The shower tray needs some type of dimpled grip surface as it was very shiny (clean ) but slippery at first. I could find no info regarding WiFi access.
