I appreciated the complimentary mugs, instant coffee, tea and kettle up in the hotel room. The breakfast was good and was kept nice and warm under the heat lamps. I liked the espresso machine with the option of taking a paper cup for coffee to go. Fresh towels were quick to be replaced upon my return from a day trip.

The bar service was not bad, but the polite lady serving me was struggling to pour the pint of beer without making so much beer foam. It's honestly how I pour my own beer which I humored about to her, so it was funny in the end but other customers might not as receptive.

Such a lovely check in lady sadly whose name i cant remember and bar person Sabrina was very friendly !! Please tell them both thank you !! Would stay again but if it was much cheaper ... £189.00 one night twin room no breakfast is a bit expensive !! But overall it was lovely !

When I eventually found out i had to call reception from my mobile to get more towels sent up , the man i spoke to told me that I had to go down stairs to get them , which wasn't helpful as I had only realised the lack of towels when i got out of the shower , so that wasnt helpful . Also no instructions on how to operate air conditioning in room as the wall unit didnt work . No one told me if breakfast was included or if and at what time we could get breakfast . Also no Wifi information given offered either

Exactly what we needed for a place to crash after the theatre and dinner. Simple, but clean and tidy. The staff were courteous and went above and beyond, they got me a dash of dairy free milk so I could have tea in the room and always greeted us in a welcoming way. They communicated well ahead of our stay, they let us know the check in time we had requested was early, but they were clear they can potentially accommodate early check in for a small and very reasonable fee, but were clear it can't be guaranteed or pre-booked. For what it is, I was pleasantly surprised.

Can't complain about anything.

Location, foyer very relaxing

Rooms seem cold on appearance, quite stark, I waited a while for bar service until the cleaner went to fetch someone for me. When the staff member came out of the kitchen she was abrupt & rushed serving my bottled beer to the extent that it frothed all over the bar & wasted a 3rd of it ( it cost over £4) she did not change it nor appear sorry at all. This was frustrating for me as I as many in this financially challenging climate find instances like this totally unavoidable. Her mood for some reason was my fault & it cost me a poorly served bottle beer.

We didn't have breakfast, so we cannot mentioning anything about that. The room size was great, great having a ketle for a tea & coofee; the bed was comfortable; the shower was powerful and the water hot, so great shower; the location was good. It was great that we could leave our bags when we check out and had a few hours around the city before we left by train. The hotel was a great option in the matter we could rest during the time we stayed. It was quite pricy, but was at the coronation holiday weekend, so maybe was the reason.I would stay here again in the future depending on price. Near the hotel there is a great coffe place with fresh bread, good coffee nice relax atmosfere, there is a sainsbury supermarket near that is very nice too.

The fan at the bathroom wasn't working. Unfortunatly did has conditioner for the shower.

The location is good if you're in Bristol for sightseeing - a short stroll from the Temple Meads station, good base for access to city centre and other sights! The staff, especially Michael, is wonderful! So friendly and warm. It's a no-frills hotel so don't go there if you're after luxury :) The breakfast is good - although it's the same every day - the hotel is super clean (some reviews mentioned bed bugs but I had nothing of the sort!), the shower is sparkling clean and hot, and there's a small supermarket nearby. I didn't try the restaurant, but the menu looked appealing. There is also a bar at the restaurant.

The hotel doesn't really have a "vibe" but there are plenty of entertainment spots around Bristol to go out for dinner/drinks etc. The breakfast can be a bit monotonous (I stayed for 4 nights and booked breakfast). The sausages weren't my favourite either. They have vegan breakfast options though - which is great. And fresh fruit (oranges and apples). The rooms are a good size too. Right across the hotel is a building site, so the view from my room was a huge construction site - but not a big deal as you can't hear any construction noise (great double-glazed windows) - and I also didn't book the hotel for a view ;)

Good standard of room, big towels, hair dryer, kettle all supplied. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful, including many items for Full English. All staff were very good at their job and helpful. The bar was much appreciated on my arrival and felt comfortable to sit alone. I dined in on the first night, great chilli. So handy for the train station and city centre. Leaving my luggage at reception after check-out was no problem for a few hours, and kept securely.

Poor view as it was opposite a busy building construction, but obviously this could not be helped.

Clean and comfortable, handy for the rail station.I liked the sofas in the reception area by the bar, where we could sit and chat. The staff were very polite and friendly. Eager to advise and help us have a good time The location was very attractive, with lots of waterways and bridges where we could stroll. There were several cafes, a pub and a wine bar right by the hotel.

Some people might not like the building work going on, opposite the windows of the bedrooms, although it didn't bother me.

Despite the noisy building works going on opposite the hotel, when the windows were closed, it blocked the sound out really well. Huge shower. Great location - 5 minutes walk from Temple Mead's station and a gentle 20 minute river walk into the old town for lots of night life!

The bed isn't fixed to the head board, which mean't that the bed kept sliding away from the wall and the pillows would then fall down the gap - literally the only negative we could think of.

Great bed, really comfortable. Bathroom pod was really practical and shower really easy to get in and out of without leaving a trail of water everywhere. Room was spotless. If you were coming into Bristol my train then this location is perfect for Bristol Temple Meads Station.

Rain water running off the roof hitting the window sill outside my room woke me up at 4am , usually nothing wakes me up ! A small drinks refrigerator would be a nice touch, I guess Ibis would prefer you use the bar . Somewhat surpisingly I couldn't find a waste bin in the room.
