Had stayed here before, so knew what to expect. Room was good and clean, and ideal for what we wanted. Had not had the breakfast before, but it was nice - an extenive buffet. Left car in the Cabot Circus car park opposite the hotel, and at reception they were able to endorse the parking ticket. It cost £12.50 for 24 (+) hours.

There are lights under the bed operated by a motion sensor. Great if you need to get up in the night - not so good if your dog moves around! Also the £20 extra for our dog is a little expensive. (Although perhaps that covered the cost of the lights)

Lots of choice in set breakfast but also prepared to serve individual choices. Everything you need provided in room. Although beside a busy, main road, rooms were quiet.

Slight problem re reception when checking in. The crew member dealing with us wasn't particularly helpful or welcoming. Have to say a bit dour! She gave us a faulty room key and did not inform /give voucher for complimentary cocktails. One of the other guests checking in at same time, while sharing lift, noted we had not been given one, thanks to him we did get our free drinks which we appreciated and enjoyed having driven a very long way!

Great location, parking is extra and a 4 min walk away (shame really). Great entrance and decent welcome from the bar/reception. Loads of fun activities such as table football, pool etc.. Food and drink is a bit pricey but hotel mark up expected. Rooms were good, spacious and comfortable. Family room was a disabled room with an accessible shower/toilet which was not great to be honest. Overall, good and recommended hotel.

Parking; parked at the shopping centre (Cabot) with a daily cost Note: no on street designated parking so you have to walk with your bags from the parking lot.

Location & facilities at the hotel were excellent , I think some of the staff on site let our stay down a little

We were given complimentary drinks which were house cocktails we ordered them Thursday evening but was told by the bar staff they didn’t have the ingredients so couldn’t make or have the cocktails, we didn’t get chance to have our complimentary drinks on Friday evening so whilst checking out on Saturday I asked the reception staff if we could have still water or two take out coffees instead of cocktails as we were driving 3 hours home , the member off staff asked me twice that he could make us our cocktails and didn’t listen to me properly and said no to our simple coffee or water request overall a great stay we would book stay and book again but thought would be good to give this feedback to improve staff quality

Great decor, excellent location, very new and modern rooms. Everything was great and we got a discount on the indoor parking, which is located in the mall next door.

There was a club or something near our room and we could hear quite a bit of bass into the night. Thankfully it stopped around midnight. Rooms were a bit too warm, would be nice to be able to control the temperature in the room. The arcade at the bar ain't free :) We would've loved to be able to have a few rounds of Street Fighter complementary on the hotel at least. But other than these, we really liked the hotel.

Really great & quiet rooms, I had a window towards the main road and with it closed couldn't hear a thing. Comfy beds and has AC. Most parts of breakfast was great: lots to choose from and options for vegetarians etc.

Cooked breakfast was a let down: it was barely warm and bacon was undercooked for my liking (for other people might be OK). I did go for breakfast 15-30 mins after it opened but still the food was barely warm. So felt like it wasn't worth the money I pair for it. (Other aspects of breakfast were great: lots to choose from and options for vegetarians etc.)

I love the fact that we can stay at a good hotel with three kids and a dog. That normally feels like an impossible task! I think we could’ve all stayed in the family bedroom, it was spacious enough, but having three kids prevents that. Fire hazard? Not sure, but it means that the stay ends up more expensive since we need two rooms. The staff made sure that they were right next to each other though which was great. The rooms were really nice and had everything we needed. Our boys really appreciated having their own TV by the foldout sofa! Btw, don’t bother trying to find the light switch for the lights under the bed. They go out automatically once you settle. A nice touch if you need the loo in the middle of the night. Just a bit of a surprise when our dog moved around at night! We had a problem finding parking that could fit our car with a roof box. The car parks all had a height restriction that didn’t work for us. The people working in the reception helped us with suitable parking which was much appreciated. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good and suited us all which is not always an easy feat! Overall a good stay.

The only issue we had was the service when we had dinner. The food all arrived at different times but the boys ended up taking the food up to the room so not a big deal in the end.

Such great value for money. I loved the aesthetics of the hotel, the quirky artistic features, the personalisation to Bristol. The rooms are a decent size, everything you could need (tea and coffee, hangers, space, toiletries, hair dryer, fluffy towels) and it was really quiet too. Not corridor doors banging in the night! The lobby has great chairs and tables, all with electrical sockets! There are activities such as pool and table football, books to.borrow and board games to play! Breakfast was a dream! All you can eat for £15 and not the usual boring fare either, delicious fresh pastries, hot food too, great fresh fruit and loads of cold meat and cheeses. I had 4 courses!

The Moxy has got a fabulous formula: comfortable rooms that have been well considered. A fun atmosphere in the common areas with lots of nice areas to sit and games available to play AND the staff (with a couple of notable exceptions) are absolutely charming, helpful and a lot of fun.

The room that we were first allocated hadn't been cleaned yet. There was a half eaten pizza and other rubbish in the room. This wouldn't have been an issue, mistakes happen and that is fine but we really felt like the response to this issue was unnecessarily confrontational. Not from the FOH staff who were lovely but from the supervisor who clearly didn't believe us and went off to check before we'd even got our new key. It would have been SO much better if he'd just said sorry and maybe offered us something small as an apology.

Staff were really lovely and overall hotel was really nice. It's the little touches that we really liked - free cocktail voucher on arrival, umbrellas (it was raining during our stay), pool table and welcoming downstairs area and would be great if you needed to do any work/study. Directly across from the car park, which they validated and gave 30% off our costs - so was exactly what we needed.

It is a short walk to main area for food etc. or at least for where we wanted to go but very easy walk and given it meant we could park our car easily and securely we didn't mind but something to consider if you don't want to be walking far.
