It was superb! I cannot fault this place at all ! The room although stated as standard was exceptional, beautifully decorated and everything that we needed including a good sized fridge which many hotels lack. There was no view from window just a fence but this had been covered with fake ivy and looked quite pretty so it really didn’t matter about lack of view in fact it gave us privacy. There was a beautiful framed mirror the tv was even framed and gorgeous table lamps on bedside tables . The gym was really well equipped and the pool with sauna ,steam room and bubble pool were fantastic. I had a massage in the wellness spa which was lovely and very reasonably priced . As for the food ,well breakfast was included in price and what fantastic breakfasts ,huge portions and top quality My partner once had kippers and they were very obviously fresh not just from a packet ,I had eggs Benedict one and wow absolutely delicious! The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the general atmosphere was one of friendliness Location is great only a short walk from beach and there is a supermarket next door and lots of things near by . We would Definitely return it is one of the best places that we have ever stayed I cannot praise it enough!

The only thing that I can fault is the toilet paper was a bit cheap and thin Other than that it was all fantastic!

Excellent set up here at the hotel with an informal bar area with lovely seating outside, a more formal restaurant and hotel rooms over the top. Swimming pool, gym and spa also at the location. Great to have a choice of bar or restaurant for evening meal after a day out, Both menus were extensive. Breakfast was served in the restaurant every morning and again offered a nice choice. Staff very welcoming and friendly, from cleaning staff, bar staff and pool staff.

Location was a little unusual, right next to Lidl and in the village centre not near the beach which was a 10 minute walk away. However, it was a central area for visiting Great Yarmouth and other attractions like the Wildlife Centre and the hotel, despite it's location was great to return to after a day out.

The quality of the breakfast was excellent. Not a breakfast bar but served at the table with a very good range of choices. The kipper was fresh and had clearly never lived in plastic! On arrival the receptionist noticed my wife's mobility problem (she uses a stick die to arthritis) and arranged a change of room to avoid steps without us asking. The adjoining restaurant/bar where breakfast is served, has a very good menu at reasonable prices. We especially liked the shared platters. Service is attentive and friendly. There is also ample parking space and residents have free use of the attached spa with a gym, pool, sauna, steam room and spa. It's even possible to have a massage.

The view from the bedroom was of an artificial hedge about 4 feet from the window. Having said that having a road on one side and a Lidl on the other doesn't give a lot of possibility for a view.

I book this hotel once every 3 months because of a Regional Meeting I have at work 30 minutes away. I love everything about this hotel from the staff, to the cleanliness and the facilities. It has a homely feel but also has everything you need and would get from other larger hotels. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I love it and will always be returning. I have brought a colleague previously and then after thay my dad and daughter and this time around my mum and they have all felt exactly the same as me. The convenience of this place and how well they accomodate thier guests is testament to why they always get repeat and loyal customers. I spoke to a lady from Lomdon who said she has been coming to the same place for over 20 years. That alone speaks volumes.

There is nothing to not like. The food is good. The staff are great. I'm always made to feel comfortable. They are accepting of everyone and I just can't sing the praises of this place enough. It's close to the beach, it has shops close by and and a nice patio garden area outside to eat or drink in the sun. It's just perfect. I've stayed in 3 different rooms over the few times ive been here and I do prefer the rooms that you can see outside properly. As some of them look out onto a wall. However because I love this place so much, then this is just a minor and just my preference in regard to what I like to see when looking out the window. I can probably call up and ask for a room with a view,. So again nothing major and easily resolves if requested well in advance.

The room was spotlessly clean, large and comfortable. We had room No.1 and the first night, there was quite a loud 'humming noise and a slight vibration in the floor by the bed. We discovered we were above the kitchen, so maybe they have an extractor fan in there? Who knows. It went off around 10.30. The hard stool for the writing desk wasn't great; had to take a cushion from the chair to sit on it. We didn't have any hot water for the shower on day one, but they did repair it straight way, when I told them at reception. Day one at Breakfast they forgot us, so it took an hour to eat Breakfast and the same happened in the restaurant at night; over an hour for the main course. Day two was much better.

The restaurant meal prices are silly money in my opinion, though the food quality is good. My advice, if the weather is nice, east in the courtyard outside; the service was much quicker and the light bites are equally good quality. At £285 for two nights for two adults, the bigger rooms are good value in my opinion and you're literally 10 minutes from Great Yarmouth.

Spacious room with armchairs. Modern bathroom. Good bed. Food good in the restaurant. Breakfast staff very friendly. Serving staff in the restaurant the first evening were super. Plenty of parking. Beach within walking distance and bus stop just opposite. We didn't use the pool but it looked lovely.

The second evening in the restaurant we were ignored by the girls serving once we had said we didn't want a dessert just yet. Ended up giving up on the planned cocktails and leaving. The water in the shower was completely cold. The lighting in the bedroom was gloomy, which made reading in the armchairs in the evening difficult.

The room was clean and well presented. It is a lovely room. AC in the room kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the shower was amazing. A fridge, which was appreciated but completely unexpected, was a nice touch. Breakfast was very good.

Whatever was below us, my guess is a gym (gym equipment), made a very annoying clunk/bang repetitively for a few minutes, stop and about 3/5 minutes later start again, from the time we checked in until 10.30pm and then again at about 7am (on a Saturday without our children, we were hoping for a lay in ) until check out. I mean, the room was quiet otherwise, no traffic noise, we couldn't hear other guests, etc, except for the repetitive clunk! (Room 8)

The room, although not big, was comfortable and well equipped. A fridge was a pleasant surprise. The pool / spa facilities were very nice. The staff were particularly good. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety and excellent service.

The location of the hotel was not as good as we expected. More research needed on our part. The big negatives of the pool spa area were the need to bring your own padlock to lock the lockers. Without the padlock we were not happy to use the lockers so had to take all our clothes into the pool area and leave them on a seat. Ridiculous. We should have been offered a loan padlock. It spoiled the spa experience. The other thing that spoiled it was a group of young men, chatting to each other in the steam room, using bad language in every sentence. Not what we wanted to hear, but not the hotels fault. The only other negative was the lack of a comfortable lounge area. The bar is good for drinking, but not a quiet and comfortable place to sit and chat over a drink.

The hotel staff and facilities and food were top class! The bed was comfortable the bath and shower ensuite spotless and the water pressure good. Kettle fridge iron and board and hairdryer and TV and free Wi-Fi were all excellent touches, also air conditioning unit quiet and much required thanks!

Carpeted floor in bedroom, no view from window. I thought hotel had grounds or garden to wander around? Also location not much going on around not many shops or restaurants and if it had been closer to the sea it would be perfect!

The room was lovely, even though I was looking out onto the road, the room was quiet to traffic noise. Being able to control the temperature in the room. plenty of hangers for garments. The staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble, from changing pool towels to finding me a rose, as I had forgotten to bring one with me, for a memorial for my friend. Breakfast tweaked to suit my needs many thanks to all staff. Shops, Pub, also Castle carvery nearby, COOP late close on a Sunday. Cocktails in the bar 2-4-1 offer, limited choice in day. Use of pool, steam room, sauna & spa pool.

A spinner in the spa, when a guest in the hotel & limited places to dry costumes a spinner would be greatly appreciated.
