Terrific location and amazing gardens which really do need to be seen to be believed. all leading down to a secluded beach. Staff were really friendly and did there best to make the stay as pleasurable as possible.

Sadly the restaurant was rather pretentious, way over priced for what was served. I had sea bass and it was as though I’d cooked it and I’m defo not a chef.. I struggle with the basics. 3 tiny Scallops costing more than £5 each is taking things to the extreme… these were a disappointment in taste! Add in the fact that the menu didn’t change in the 4 days we were there made the eating part the less enjoyable bit of our stay. Also supposed to be hot on wines too but had run out of Sancerre… for 4 days! The barman worked his socks off and they really need one extra staff member. Even when they are not too busy take a while for drinks as he is taking orders, making and delivering.

Very good food … expensive, but very well cooked and served. Staff in restaurant were 10/10. The gardens down to the beach we’re lovely and made a very pleasant walk. Rooms were roomy and comfortable with tea/coffee etc .. very good bathroom and shower .. If you are looking for a short quiet break ..I would recommend going..

Over £6 for a 330ml bottle of beer was a bit pricey… but still enjoyed my stay ..

Good choice of breakfast, beautiful gardens and walk down to the beach. It is so close to being perfect.

On two occasions the dining table was not laid up for us. On the first night we ended up with low lounge chairs sat at a dinning table at a higher level. Second occasion we got a wobbly picnic table. This was the dog dining area. Food was never piping hot, on one occasion stone cold so had to go back and at £30+ for pork tender loin and one piece of pak Choi expect it to be hot. I’m not sure why the dogs cost so much (£350 2 dogs for a week) I don’t know what we got for the money. It’s a lovely hotel, good staff - get the small detail right - hot food, dining sorted, a slice of lemon in the gin and not having to wait to check in and it would be perfect

The location was so peaceful, packed with nature and a beach approximately 1/4 of a mile walk, down a woodland private path from the hotel. The balconies overlooking the gardens, but it is better for fair weather, obviously. The comfy bed, the quality soft furnishings, the cocktails, the food and service. The menu has six choices but you also can choose from another small menu with specials on, so that suited us fine. The friendly service and the humour of Steve, the head waiter, who always had a smile despite being under pressure. The welcoming from management and all staff, gave us a feeling of being part of the hotel and grounds, even the gardeners who were always chatty and even allowed me to pick a couple of agapanthus seed pods for planting at home. We will definetely come back.

The service charge is unnecessary. Nothing else.

Lovely ambience. Such a tranquil and calm feel to the place. We both felt immediately relaxed and at home upon arriving having just come from another hotel in Falmouth. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and made a big fuss of our little dog which she adored. It was perfect being able to walk through the stunning gardens to the beach without having to set foot on a road. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was ok for the guests even though they were dealing with a powercut due to storms. The little touches like locally sourced aromatherapy toiletries and homemade biscuits in the room were well received. Even the towels felt cosier and softer that the ones at the previous hotel and there was always plenty of hot water for a restorative soak in the deep bath. We are greatly looking forward to our next stay

there wasn't anything to not like

The Hotel's interior is a time machine, harking back to the best of the 1960s. The food was superb. The gardens were charming. The walk down to the private beach was glorious and the beach was wonderful. We really loved the 1960s styling and quirky decor. We giggled (and loved) the lounge music played throughout the evening...the hotel was reminiscent of early Pink Panther films.

There could have been a selection of gluten free pastries for breakfast, as options were limited. Perhaps a wider range of drink alternatives to tea and coffee in the bedroom. We weren't enamoured with the grape vine in the ceiling of the restaurant, nor the woodlouse who joined our table for dinner.

Everything and such an amazing welcome at reception. Especially loved the toiletries and pillows amazing!

I have coeliac disease and was assured of a gluten free breakfast. Unfortunately not many options on the cooked breakfast. When you can easily now get gluten free nice sausages from any supermarket for ok price, no brainer getting some in . As couldn’t have the hogs pudding either . Bread was thin and not the best gf . But service at breakfast was amazing. Izzy (student at Falmouth uni) was super lovely and helpful.

The hotel is beautifully located and has wonderful exotic gardens and a welcoming atmosphere. All the staff we encountered were excellent, friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was also very good. The beach coffee/ice cream outlet was also nice addition. Products in the bathroom from the spa smelled nice and were a nice touch.

Our bathroom had been set up as a 'wet room' which doesn't suit our tastes so much, as I don't like the amount of wet floor it produces. Perhaps a glass screen could be inserted just to cut this off whilst still maintaining the 'walk in ' aspect.

The hotel is in beautiful surroundings in a quiet part of Cornwall. The rooms are nicely sized and very comfortable. Not a fan of the wet room layout, would prefer an enclosed shower (and my partner would have liked a bath) but that is just personal preference. The lounge and Harry's bar are great for relaxing in the evening and the dining room over looking the gardens is lovely.

Felt that they were slightly understaffed for the level of service they are trying to provide. The service is so attentive and helpful, If you catch it wrong, you can have a bit of a wait to check in or out. Also there were no towels in the gents to dry hands later in the evening. It was reported but not acted on as everyone was busy serving in the dining and bar areas. The food in the evening was mixed. Overall dinner was OK, a little style of substance in some dishes. Left slightly disappointed but wouldn't stop us coming back.

It was in a beautiful setting, a hotel in a garden.. Hotel Meudon is a real gem, with it Ercol furniture, quirky, color schemes, real linen . It really isn’t like other hotels it’s special. I found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful especially Phil and the young man who was on his break from University from the summer don’t know his name. The live music on Saturday afternoon was a wonderful extra touch . Food was delicious ( yes expensive, but every food bills gone up!!) and beautifully presented.
