The selling points of this property were its location, the room rate and the interesting supper menu. On arrival we were greeted in a very friendly manner and taken straight to our rooms, which were delightful. We had a delicious supper, a restful night and an equally delicious breakfast. The owners and their staff could not have been more helpful. The hard work put into this property since the owners bought it three years ago is evident; it continues, to maintain such high standards. Excellent!

Car parking on the street is a matter of pot luck, but that is a problem everywhere locally. We were fortunate.

Excellent choice on breakfast menu, but portions were massive. Great choice on evening menu and great food too. The rump steak was excellent and extremely good value for money. Loved the lamb lasagne too ! Lovely compact room, and the bed was extremely comfortable ❤️ Parking bit of a nightmare, but to be expected in a quaint Cornish town. Car parks were 5 mins walk away, with plenty of spaces. Staff, especially Adele extremely kind and helpful.

The bathroom needed a shelf over the back of the toilet, or above the towel rail or above the basin, as there was no space to put anything ! Also could have done with a few hooks in the bathroom. The coffee at breakfast was poor, weak and wishy washy 😟

Friendly and helpful staff & hosts Room was clean/tidy/cosy - tea/coffee etc and a decent size TV Modern en-suite bathroom Good selection of beers in the bar Great breakfast Good quality & selection of pub food in the restaurant Nice decor & atmosphere in the bar/restaurant Nearby (minute or two on foot) free car park.

Mould on the privacy drapes and mildew on the room windows. Mildew/Mould clogging up the en-suite showerhead. - Simple fixes Parking problematic if arriving later on due to availability.

Very good breakfast. Friendly and attentive service throughout our stay. Public transport options locally by train and bus were very good so no problem getting about apart from if you chose to use your car to travel around- see below.

Parking a short distance away posed no problem during visit in May but closest car parks were full during our visit.

Lovely, comfortable room, friendly staff, and a nice view. Good breakfast. Really good value for money for a large room and breakfast included. I also ate dinner in the pub the night before and that was tasty and service very pleasant.

I think the window for breakfast 9-10 on Sat is a bit tight. For someone who usually eats breakfast at 7, this is quite late, and everyone arrives at once, making it slower. I do understand this from a staffing point of view though. Also, fine for me, but I think no vegan breakfast.

A fine bar with excellent restaurant, comfortable well equipped rooms and brilliant staff all at a very reasonable price, this is the place to stay when you're visiting Penryn. There is no on-site parking but Adele will let you have full details of the very reasonable public car parks within 5 minutes walk Try for the Saracen car park at TR10 8LW which is terrific value

Nothing it was all excellent

We had a lovely stay here, very welcoming staff who were all friendly and helpful and they all work very hard. Lovely bar with good atmosphere. The room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the bathroom and shower were immaculate. We had a couple of meals there, the food was fabulous. Everything was spot on. Thank you.

As has been said previously the parking can be a challenge, especially if someone has mobility problems. Absolutely no complaints but would have liked larger towels for the shower!

A return visit, treated so kindly, and made to feel so welcome. A room with a wonderful view, and accommodated two extras for breakfast for our family who live in Penryn, which was no trouble. A lovely freshly cooked breakfast and quality ingredients, in lovely surroundings. Cosy bed, and a great shower, the best shampoos and conditioner and hand wash. Towels, clothes hangers, and a key to come and go freely. Hoping we can return again, thankyou.

Restaurant was excellent for both the inclusive breakfast and dinner. Bedroom retained some old world charm but with state of the art en suite bathroom.

Parking might be an issue if one travelled by car. We used the train and walked just 6 minutes from the station.

Comfy bed. shower good. breakfast excellent

Parking for the car was very poor. Drove round the block twice before moving a roadside barrier to squeeze my car into a tiny gap.The night staff asked me to pay when we arrived although it was done on line when booking. Made me a bit wary of him trying to get double money!!
