Very friendly, chatty staff who made us feel at home; Our dog was made to feel very welcome, which is always very important to us; Exceptional breakfast menu; Location is on the SW Coast Path, so ideal for easy access to hiking routes; The views from our room were incredible! We had an absolutely fantastic stay - this was our second time at The Bay Hotel and we will return again for our next Cornwall trip. It is wonderful to stay in such a warm and friendly hotel. Our whippet William also had a fantastic time and was treated with as much warmth as human guests - this made the stay extra special for us.

Beautiful location. Lovely hotel. Staff were always very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful and dining room clean, airy with great views of Coverack Bay. I had a meal from the Bar area one evening as opposed to the in-house restaurant. It was great food and I considered the bar food to be very reasonably priced for the stature of the Hotel. I like to think I have high standards so for me to say that I would consider returning to this hotel at a later date is praise indeed ! Peaceful and quiet location. Great stay !

Found mattress on my bed to be a little hard for my liking so struggled to sleep on first night, but soon got used to it. TV in room was a mild disappointment - approx. 42 channels, but I could only access about 18 due to an antenna problem. I say mild disappointment, because the location and views compensated for this small discrepancy. Thought 2 small biscuits in the container by the tea / coffee facilities in the room was a bit 'tight' considering the cost of my stay. A complimentary bottle or two of water in the room I think would have been a nice touch.

Everything really, great location, right on the sea, incredible views to watch the sun rise, lovely lovely staff. James is great, always striving to make the guests as comfortable as possible.. and both Caroline’s were just lovely and Sarah for lending me a charger! Food is outstanding as well, hats off to the chefs!. Overall I cannot really fault it!

The only minor minor fault for me personally was I am 6 foot. The rooms on the top floor have low ceilings, so I had to mind my head. That was the only thing..

As we had a room at the front, wonderful, it was ruined at night by the 3 enormous lights near the garden steps that were left on all night. The sky was clear with many ✨ stars to look at but I gave up and pulled the curtains instead as drifting off to sleep watching the night sky was impossible. Our room gets a 10 for its position but minus points for its small size and the 2 chairs in the room were far too big and clumsy.

This is an absolutely lovely hotel, perfectly positioned overlooking the sea. Our room was warm and comfortable, the bed and bedding very good quality and the breakfast was perfect! All of the staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for you. This is certainly a hotel we will return to.

Only thing I can think could improve our particular room would be a small shelving unit in the bathroom for washbags etc.

Nothing I did not like! We lost power to our shower room - light and heat on our last night but staff provided us w an electric lantern to help . We were in the middle of a storm so there was nothing more to be done.

A beautiful hotel set right on the seafront. A friendly, helpful welcome and an upgrade of my room was just what was needed after a long day walking. My room was large with a great view along the coast. The same front of house member of staff provided the meal service at dinner and breakfast and his help and chat (despite being very busy in the evening) made for an exceptionally enjoyable stay

The location was brilliant with sea views and gardens in which you could have a drink overlooking the sea. The food was very good and staff helpful.

The room was small in comparison to other hotels (& the price) and the en-suite was tiny which was a problem as being on the ground floor with windows onto the patio I had to get dressed in the room with people sitting on the patio for breakfast right outside the window no more than a couple of feet away. There was virtually no wardrobe or cupboard space or anywhere to put a case. The two chairs in the room by the window which was the attraction in being able to look out across the sea were very uncomfortable a couple of small armchairs would have made all the difference.

The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The room was exceptional, with a bathtub and shower as well as a great sea view. Great food and service with a smile. We loved the people and the place, definitely interested in returning.

There was quite a long wait for food, this only really concerned us at breakfast because we were worried about checking out on time.

Such a lovely location - woke up to a beautiful sunrise through our window - great location and very clean The staff are so lovely - caroline and Sarah weee really helpful as we had booked the wrong night and ended up staying the night before we had booked - long story but they were so lovely Food is really good - dinner was beautifully cold and breakfast too all fresh and delicious ! Can’t recommend highly enough
