A beautiful location out in the countryside not far from Penryn, Falmouth and the Helford River. The property has a few well-appointed en suite rooms in an annexe with use of a lovely conservatory area which is also used for breakfast. The hosts Jerry and Sal made us very welcome with tea and cake, and our breakfast was excellent. We stayed for one night while touring but this would make a lovely base for a longer stay. The house is truly out in the countryside so it's a drive or cycle to the nearest pub or organise the day to eat before returning in the evening (there is a fridge for fresh milk or to store your own drinks for a nightcap). We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful B&B in stunning location. We were wanting peace and quiet and that's what we got. Loved the room and decor, house is fabulous. Loved the fridge in the lounge, very handy. Very inviting and friendly. Lovely breakfast and the host was lovely too. I would recommend.

The chemical smellies, plug in and sticks were over powering. Unfortunately the smell leaches into all fabrics. It is my personal preference not to use them. A lot of people do and would be fine with them. I'd love to see less places using them. Natural non damaging scents are the way to go. No hot water by the evening. Not great if you like a shower before bed. The bathroom could have been cleaner.

The location is perfect, away from the crowds, down a country lane, slap bang in the middle of "peace and tranquillity". Jerry's welcome couldn't have been warmer, the room was cosy on a cold winter's evening, and the addition of herbal teas to the tea/coffee selection was a bonus. Following a great night's sleep (after 12 months of living in the centre of town I'd forgotten how good it is to enjoy rural quiet and darkness) I had the added benefit of waking up to a spectacular sunrise and gorgeous view over the Cornish countryside. Sam's huge and tasty Cornish breakfast was the crowning glory and set me up for the whole day. Seriously, it was so good I skipped lunch. Jerry and Sam have created a beautiful place to stay, a peaceful haven just a few minutes from Falmouth University and I've no doubt I'll be back.

The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming . The location is gorgeous. And the property is perfect, with so much attention paid to detail. The beds are comfortable. Very peaceful situation, no road noise. The views are amazing. The owners had lit a log burner for us on arrival and we relaxed on huge sofas in the lounge area after our long journey. Tea and cake offered on arrival. And a breakfast menu to make your eyes water. Fresh spring flowers in the bedroom and all around the property. Everywhere is immaculately clean.

Really lovely to be in the Cornish countryside but only 15 min from Falmouth. The views were beautiful. The Hosts provided everything you would want fir your stay and it really felt like you were staying in a nice warm county home not a run of the mill hotel. The full Cornish breakfast was perfect, and the Hosts were happy to satisfy every requests.

Beds & pillows were a bit hard. The narrow roads to get there were a bit stressful but that's normal driving on Cornwall.

This is just a brilliant place to stay! Guest lounge, log burner, homemade cake and tea to greet you. Spent acouple of hours by the fire with the rain crashing on the windows, looking out over superb views. (Unfortunately got up just a bit late next morning to see the barn owl hunting over the grounds). Breakfast had to be the best I've had in any accommodation - noticeably high quality and locally sourced. Mix that all in with beautiful clean rooms and friendly hosts and you have a perfect stay.....

What a lovely find, nothing was to much trouble, delicious coffee and cake was offered on arrival. Stunning scenery, sat outside in the evening and saw an owl hunting for food. Comfortable bedroom with coffee & tea available and on the second day a homemade cake was left for us when we arrived back in the evening. Use of a fridge for drinks or food was handy, and relaxing lounge room for evening board/card games can be used. Breakfast was outstanding plenty of variety on offer. Hosts happy to offer advice on best places to eat and visit, Would definitely recommend

I have to say Fig Tree House is a real gem of a B&B. The house is simply beautiful, immaculately presented with classy décor and set with fine detail, and all set in a stunning country location. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive, without being over the top. Breakfast was amazing and kept us going for the whole day. The only downside was, we did not spend enough time there, the place is so good it deserves time to be savoured to be appreciated to the full. We only used it as a pitstop whilst traveling through for one night, but are already planning for when we can return...

we received a very warm welcome upon our arrival and were given a pot of tea and a delicious piece of apple and rhubarb cake. Our room, one the ground floor, was very attractively decorated and provided everything we needed for our one night stay. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and the breakfast was outstanding with very generous portions and delicious ingredients. It set us up for the day!! We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend The Fig Tree bed and breakfast. Many thanks to our kind hosts.

As we do not have SatNav we had to rely on our hostesses phone guidance to find our way. A set of more detailed directions with distances would be most helpful for other techno-peasants!!!!

I can only echo the other excellent reviews! Fig Tree House truly lived up to it’s reputation! We arrived to tea and homemade cake on the patio, which was a lovely, welcoming gesture from the wonderfully hospitable owners. The bedroom was tastefully decorated with far reaching countryside views. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the linen impeccably laundered and the shower hot and powerful. The communal areas were beautifully presented and the perfect place for an evening glass of wine, or the excellent quality and plentiful breakfast! Looking forward to future visits!
