We had a really great stay and would love to return/recommend to others. All the staff were very friendly and provided exceptional service. Breakfast and dinner were really tasty; a good, varied menu selection. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot: great portion size/value for money. The room and shower room were a good size and I think had been recently decorated.

The room was quite warm, but the hotel had provided a free standing fan in the room, which was much appreciated. It would have been great to have been able to open the windows wider, but appreciate limited opening is probaby a health & safety restriction.

The situation is fabulous with wonderful views over the sea and the surrounding countryside which is beautiful. The room was perfect with all the necessary conveniences for a top class hotel and the receptionist was friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant sadly was poor, very disappointing and not commensurate with the quality of the accommodation.Having booked dinner, we will return to this hotel but not eat in the restaurant. Also the beer in the bar was poor and when visiting Wales, why were there none of the great local ales on sale. We googled the area to find somewhere else to have a drink but the nearest bar was serving the same poor selection of drinks.

Breakfast was excellent, view of the sea from our room. Easy access and parking.

Eating in the restaurant on our only night was totally unacceptable. Table was booked for 7.15, and we waited for 15 mins before any staff came to us, even for drinks. Other customers were served before us. We did not order starters and we had to press staff for our order as other customers who ordered after us had their meals before us. Our meals finally arrived at 8.15pm, with very little apology. An hour’s wait for fish and chips - not good. 🤨A case of too many booking and not enough staff.

Cooked breakfast was lovely both mornings. Ate evening meal in the restaurant once. Husband and I had Taverners chicken which was really good. Could have done with a few more chips! Desserts quite expensive so did not have one. The Cold River cider was great and well chilled.

Would have liked the lift to have been working properly. It would go up to the second floor but would not decend to ground floor. Would have liked to have grapefruit segments for breakfast and would have liked to have seen the fruit salad in a bowl rather than sealed pots but I can appreciate that there is less waste this way. Have stayed in both The Cliff and The Gwbert a few times. Prefer the self service cooked breakfast at The Cliff and the fact that they serve fried potatoes and a more extensive variety of pastries.

We didn’t expect our economy room to have such an excellent view (albeit from a smallish window) over the Teifi estuary, including the sun setting over the sea north of Cemaes Head. We really enjoyed that. We were also happy that coming down to breakfast at 0730 we could choose a window table with the same excellent view but this time with the sun shining onto the far shore, lighting up the cliffs. Buffet breakfast had all that we wanted and the staff were most accommodating in varying the standard menu by combining options. I had kippers with scrambled eggs.

The Hotel is exceptional- Very nicely decorated, comfortable and in a great location with stunning views of the estuary and headland opposite - there is also a great cliff edge walk. The staff were excellent- friendly and helpful. There was a slight problem and the staff member of reception was top notch and got it sorted within minutes. Breakfast is exceptional - good quality produce, lots of choice and ample portions. Cannot recommend the hotel enough- 5 stars

Everything was great, nice hotel and pleasant staff. Our room was nice and cozy, clean and enough space for the two of us. We had view of the car park, but we didn't upgrade to a sea view so we got what we paid for. Breakfast was included which was very tasty and many options to chose from. Location of the property was lovely, with a beautiful seaside walk just across the road.

Our room was a bit hard to find, many staircases and turns to take, but it was tucked away in a two room corridor which made it quieter compared to any other rooms (so not really a negative).

Outstanding all round experience at the Gwbert, room was basic yet very comfortable, offering a great nights sleep, shower was amazing too. all staff were outstanding and very friendly, the included breakfast is absolutely delicious and up there with the best I have eaten in a while, I stayed for two nights so also tried the restaurant and here too the food was of a very good standar. the only negative I can say which is nothing to do with the hotel, is mobile phone signal/reception is very bad in this area, but they offer you free wifi so can definitely get by with apps that use wifi like whatsapp etc. highly recommend this place and if I'm around the area again I will book here without hesitation.

Yet again we had a wonderful stay at Gwbert Hotel and we’ve already booked another stay here in May 23. Your lovely hotel has become a firm favourite of ours, thank you for providing such a peaceful place for us to stay and enjoy some much needed r&r. We’d also like to say a very heartfelt thank you for upgrading us up to room 20. I’ve recently lost my mum, dad and sister and have been struggling; you’re incredibly kind gesture of goodwill moved us more than you could ever know. Gwbert Hotel has become a safe space for us, a place where we can both switch off, enjoy amazing views and a lovely atmosphere. Your staff are super friendly and welcoming and we thank you. Food, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, location. Breakfast choice very good. Dinner like home cooked with good choice. Nice and warm in restaurant and excellent heating control in bedroom. Heated bathroom mirror.

Having to listen to hoovering and cleaning ,eg dragging tables and chairs over in lounge area to mop, through most of breakfast (9.00 - 9.45). No obvious way of calling for attention on arrival at reception. Sink too small as with shelf above it is too close - but bathroom otherwise great. Hooks on back of door would be useful for coats.
