When we first arrived, our room wasn’t suitable for us as a family. We have a disabled daughter who is non-mobile and uses a buggy to get around. Our first room was originally right next to stairs which we had no option but to go up and down to get in/out of our room. When we explained the issue to reception, they were quick to try and sort this issue for us. The very kindly upgraded us to a bigger room, where access wasn’t an issue. To add to that, they even moved out stuff for us, which we really appreciated. The second room we had was lovely. Everything you could possibly need was in the room. It was spacious and made up beautifully. The bed was very comfy, and my whole family had a great nights sleep! The breakfast buffet had a great selection, and the staff doing the breakfast were particularly very friendly. All in all, we had a lovely stay, and would 100% recommend!

The building in places for us wasn’t great accessibility-wise, but this is obviously not the hotels fault (small corridors and stairs). This did make it hard for us to get around occasionally.

We particularly enjoyed the view and relaxing in the spa. In general, we fully enjoyed our time at the Cliff.

For elderly people like my wife and I who find taking a bath virtually impossible, the bath and especially the overhead shower are an accident waiting to happen. To be specific, entering the bath for a shower and exiting the bath after a shower are very tricky operations as the floor is slippery and there are no grab rails or anchoring points to stabilise movements. I had hoped to point this out to the person responsible for Health and Safety but I was so busy enjoying our visit that I did not get around to it.

This was our go to hotel close to home we have been a few times now and it is in a stunning location on the cardigan bay Breakfast was excellent a good choice of food one would expect from a quality hotel The evening meal was good I chose the pie of the day and I would recommend this choice it was really tasty pork apple and leek in a lovely gravy rooms were clean and tidy as was the spa facilities staff were very friendly and helpful

Only one small negative on the night … Our evening meal was booked for 7.15 we were shown to our table and then waited to be served but we didn’t get served til 7.40 though it was busy at this time I had to eventually call out to a staff member to take our order for food and drinks One other point to remember is there are only five or six disabled parking spaces close to the main door, the hotel could increase this to another six opposite as the main group of people using the hotel at the time we stayed were elderly

This trip was meant to be a 50th birthday trip but due to reasons postponed for 4 months. The wait was totally worth it. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I am oxygen dependent and they went out of the way to help and asked If there was anything they could do to help just let then know! If we didn't have to come home the day after we would have checked in for another night! Will definitely be returning...

The only tiny quibble was the pizza I had in the bar wasn't home made. And the veggie choices could have had a fee more choices and the option of a big salad.

Good breakfast and very comfortable room. The wet room was very spacious and easily accessible. The downstairs bar was waitress service. We had a light lunch before we left for the afternoon and visited it on our return. The same waitress was still on shift and remembered us from lunch time. We spent an enjoyable evening watching the sunset over Cardigan Bay. The hotel hosted weddings on on each night of our stay but although the wedding reception/ parties were noisy it did not intrude on our stay. Many of the multigenerational family guests sought solace in the peaceful environment which allowed them to chat and catch up with each other and the children had easy access to the grounds to play with each other. All in all the hotel made a fantastic wedding venue.

the temperature of the water in the shower was difficult to adjust

The location was stunning as was the hotel it self most of the staff were very helpful and friendly only issue as some of the staff were not British they didn’t communicate as they should have and came across as a little abrupt

Coffee in the rooms I drinkable need gold blend decaf and also at breakfast for this class of hotel they should have the best . Not explained breakfast when I asked what the procedure was the very lovely young lady said she didn’t understand me as she was French she was lovely but it’s not the greatest if they are unable to communicate with you. Don’t just assume people have been here before and know what to do. Dinner waiter was much the same when we asked what an item was on the menu he told us to read it very dry and abrupt he was the only one the others were very friendly and lovely .

I have been the Cliff twice with friends in the past and have always loved it. This was my first solo trip, I was a little anxious but also very excited as to what I had to look forwad too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I felt safe there, and the facilities were spot on. The reasonable cost of the stay was huge. As a solo traveller, I wouldn't have been able to do this stay if it was more expensive. The value for money was fabulous, and I was delighted to have complimentary use of the Spa facilities. I really needed this break, I feel liberated and proud to have done so, and I can't wait to come back.

Nothing.

Great location, relaxed atmosphere. Even with busy weddings going on, the hotel did not feel noisy or crowded.

One of the staff in the restaurant area told me I would be able to order food from reception after the restaurant was closed. This was not true, and the receptionist could not explain why I had been mislead.

We were given a free upgrade on arrival, the receptionist, Kelly was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. Our room was perfect, with a sea view. The entire visit was relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I wouldnt say we didn't like anything, however we struggled to find anything on the menu that we could eat. We don't like fish and neither of us eat red meat. The vegetarian option was limited. Having said that, this is our own preference so not a dislike! We say it everytime we stay that we should look to book a table elsewhere but we always choose to stay in and hope for something we like on the specials.

Clean and comfortable

When I booked with Booking.com there was no mention of being in a room above the Wedding Room. When I went to ask Reception what time it was due to finish (this was at 10.30 and I had a headache by then I was asked‘didn’t you know when you booked?’ As if it was my fault for not knowing!!! It really upset me and I went and sat in my car for half an hour of peace and quiet. The loud music continued until 12.15 and not 1 am as planned! I didn’t sleep until 2.30 am. Very disappointed
