The staff were amazing from arriving to leaving laura on reception was fantastic taking care of our suitcases as we had arrived early and were going to beamish early in the day. She put our suitcases in the room for our return and we felt she went the extra mile for our party of four. To Julia on the breakfast service and being so attentive whilst serving us with our breakfast. We even had an evening meal which was delightful in the conservatoey with a lady singer on too. Will definately be booking to stay again and would highly recommend tjis lovely Hotel with beautiful views

The property is an ideal base for Beamish Museum. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, the bathroom was spacious and towels were changed daily if required We had a faulty door handle and we were asked whether we wanted to move rooms or maintenance to sort it we chose the latter and it was dealt with when we returned later that day The restaurant area is well set out and the food was very nice good portion sizes nicely presented The bar / lounge area was comfortable to relax after a nice meal and a busy day We also liked the fact that we had a parking space right outside our door which was most convenient

The only thing we didn't like was the false, cheap aroma down passages from those plug in smelly things. So cheap and false. A good wind through making the passages smell fresh would have been preferable. Apart from that I am allergic to such.
The mugs in the room were washed in perfumed dish wash liquid. This smells and tastes as the mug is used. Horrible. We don't like these cheap imitation smells. And apart from that I am allergic to those cheap false perfumes. My lungs can close down near such.

An Evening meal was served to a large party during a busy night for the hotel. The food was served hot and well presented all together. There was no issue with any meal. This indicates an organised and well run kitchen and service team. The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms are mostly ground floor with parking directly outside French Doors. They are clean and the bathroom facilities are good. Handy for the heritage steam train and local sights such as Beamish. Would like to thank the staff for a nice stay.
The breakfast was not at the same quality as the evening meal. Eggs for almost all our party were very overcooked. The breakfast room was very busy and this is a small but observed gripe from my party of 16. The rooms have no view and can seem a little dark but they are clean.

Stayed here over the weekend for a wedding nearby. The hotel was simply charming, and very comfortable. The staff were really warm and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. I was particularly impressed by the restaurant, which offered several gluten free options (including the Sunday roast!) I would definitely stay again.
Restaurant closes at 6pm on Sunday / 8pm weekdays which is a little early (although the chef made an exception for us which was very kind.) No phone in the room despite having a room service option.

This hotel is in a beautiful location with lovely views, the staff are amazing, polite and very helpful. The bedrooms are a nice size and bonus points are given for the parking right outside our room. The restaurant food was lovely, with portion sizes being quite big. Breakfastvwasvserved to order, which was perfect as there wasn't a lot of wastage.
The only thing I personally struggled with was the shower, with just a rain head that trickled water and no hand-held, showering was somewhat difficult. 🙈

The breakfast was exceptional with brilliant choices. English breakfast was lovely and the fruit fresh was beautiful and all tasted lovely and set us up for the rest of the day. Excellent choice of drinks as well. We wouldn't usually eat this much at breakfast but we had a bit of everything! Very well presented and dining area was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and polite as well. Beautiful views from the dining area as well. The room was lovely, warm and comfortable and parking right outside the room. Staff in general were all exceptional and happy to help with anything. The bar is comfortable and nicely decorated too with a good choice of drinks. We would definitely stay again.

This is a very dog friendly hotel where you can park right outside your room. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything in them that you need, the bed is massive and very comfortable. There is also a dog bed, bowl and a bag of treats. The breakfast is help yourself to cereal, fruit, yogurts and pastries and you also get a cooked breakfast that you can pick exactly what you would like. The lovely lady serving us had set up a special table for us in the window of the bar so our dog could come to breakfast with us and he was also given his own sausage to eat which he loved. We ate our evening meal here which was the Sunday dinner and it was delicious and hot, the servers were really friendly and polite. Location is great for Beamish Museum which is where we had spent Remembrance Sunday. We've stayed in this hotel before and would definitely stay again. We highly recommend this lovely friendly hotel to anyone.
Nothing everything is great 👍

We booked this hotel to be close to the Beamish village attraction. It turned out not to be the hotel I thought I'd booked. There is another hotel nearer with a similar name but of a much higher grade ( and price). We were not disappointed however as we found the Beamish PARK hotel met our every need and at a considerable saving too. Service was excellent from check in to departure with a special mention for the dining room and bar staff. Wonderful service with very friendly ' local' humour thrown in. Good food too. We particularly appreciated the carparking right outside our French windows, so convenient with luggage and peace of mind. There are golf facilities here but I didn't have time to check it out. (A nine hole course played a second round from different tees.) Other visitors did and they appeared to have had a good time. But back to the hotel .. .. ..It was only minutes to Beamish via narrow country roads but I wouldn't recommend walking. Room service fell a little short of perfect missing our room on one day. No problems though with recommending this hotel. Our stay was just fine.
Not a serious dislike .. .. .. .. There was no safe in our room so I enquired at reception. Answer: "yes there is" and I left with instructions on where to find it. There was NO safe in our room. The staff had to show me they were right. They weren't and nobody was more surprised than they were. Apparently It had been removed by persons unknown. On one of the days there was a power cut and so no lighting in our section of the hotel when we returned. . We found our door open which concerned us especially after having no safe in the room. We received a sincere apology and was assured the matter would be looked into.

The location is fabulous and near to family living in the area. The Staff were exceptional, excellent customer service made me feel very welcome, very attentive and caring. The food in the Restaurant was of a high quality and arrived at the table within 15 minutes of us being seated, well presented and hot.
The mattress was a little lumpy and requires upgrading, although this was a no smoking ground floor room I could smell cigarette smoke when entering the room and from the bedding, in particular the pillows.
