A lovely visit to Eslington Villa. Room spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable and very little outside noise. Bathroom spotless and great shower. Staff are fantastic and make you feel so welcome. Great to chat to, extremely efficient and so friendly. We had a fantastic meal in the restaurant on the Friday evening and a few relaxing drinks in the well stocked bar afterwards. The breakfast choices were excellent and prepared to a high standard. Ten minute taxi to Newcastle or to Gateshead Metro station if you want to go the likes of Tynemouth or South Shields. Some great pubs and restaurants, 10 minutes walk away in Low Fell (Durham Road). Would highly recommend staying here. We'll be back.

Nothing. All great.

Love the feel of the hotel. It was very welcoming, from the minute we arrived. Excellent, friendly staff throughout. Nice comfortable room, with a good breakfast. We were here for the Great North Run weekend. The hotel did an earlier breakfast on the Sunday for runners, and we were able to leave our car in the car park until after the run. This was my 2nd visit and I plan to return.

The room we were on was above the kitchen with it being warm we had to have the window open which meant the extractor fan woke us up quite early when staff started cooking breakfast.

I was lucky enough to be in the Lilac room, the room was on the side of the hotel looking over the gardens which is a very quiet area off the hotel and is not overlooked. The room was huge and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and clean, the tea tray was very well stocked and the room had a good tv with plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom was exceptional you can tell a lot of money has been spent in this area. The staff are very friendly , the breakfast is cooked fresh with your choice of eggs! The bar area is quiet and comfortable and is definitely worth a visit and lastly the parking is free! Whats Not to Like 10/10

If i was picky the heat can not be controlled from the room (poss due to the age of the building) however the staff will turn on the heat if required, i was told due to the summer months the heat was switched off. I have been here in the winter and the hotel is very warm. The room does not have a fan and the blinds don't block out the light so consequently if you wanted a lie in this would be difficult,

We love this hotel and have stayed here many times. The building and gardens are beautiful. Staff are always warm and friendly. The breakfasts are delicious. The bedrooms are always comfortable.

We were disappointed that there was no evening meal available, but maybe this was mentioned in the information on the website and we hadn't checked. We were also disappointed that the bar was closed, but again it may have been our own fault for not checking the closing time. We often book an evening meal and we also like to use the lounge/bar.

Due to unusual circumstances I needed a room for the night in Gateshead (due to a visit to A&E - not me personally). I booked through Booking.com but due to the late hour, I contacted the hotel directly to ensure they had my booking and there would be a room available and someone to let me in. I spoke to a member of staff/owner and they assured me all was booked and someone would be available to let me in (regardless of the hour). I arrived around 1pm and sure enough the night porter was expecting me and showed me to my room. The room was lovely and my welcome was warm, friendly and much appreciated after the day I’d had. Breakfast was delightful and the 2 ladies who welcomed me were bright, happy and a credit to the hotel. Absolutely fantastic building, room, building and staff. Thank you so much for rounding off a difficult day with such courtesy and kindness.

No complaints at all.

From the first moment we arrived, the member of staff, Tony, was so welcoming and friendly and attended to us immediately. It only took us a few minutes to get into our room. Every member of staff we encountered were extremely friendly and effecient. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent every day of our 5 night stay. Food was hot, well presented and very tasty.

Nothing as far as we are concerned.

The property was in a good location. Plenty of off road parking. Beautiful building and nice ambiance. The staff were all professional but really friendly and all appeared to enjoy working together. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were adequate. The meals in the hotel were outstanding, both the evening meal and breakfast were really tasty.

No complaints as such as didn’t effect our experience just the room we were in could have done with a little tlc. Maybe a lick of paint to freshen it up but nothing major. The bathroom was lovely and large but the radiator didn’t appear to work so it was cold in there but we didn’t mention it as it didn’t bother us.

Service/staff were fab. 1 member of staff went above n beyond with his service to us. Everyone was soo friendly We had a sit down meal for my father in laws 80th birthday. The room set up was gorgeous. The food exceptional!! I think we exhausted the poor nite porter with our late nite drinking, but he still gave us great service. The rooms were lovely. I loved the lounge. We all had a superb stay. Only have the one negative which is listed below ....

We travelled on the day of a bad storm. Some of us had driven for over 9 hours in horrendous conditions. Unfortunately we had missed the finish time for dinner by 5/10 mins we asked if possible for just a sandwich, just something to nibble on as we were all hungry, and there was no crisps etc sold at the bar, but was given a firm no ☹️ Abit later a very lovely male member of staff (im so sorry but ive forgotten his name) came out with some toast n jam for us, which was lovely and greatly appreciated

Staff are really friendly and attentive. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and then a substantial breakfast the following morning. The food and service is of a high standard and good value for money. We enjoyed our stay.

There was only a blind at the window rather than curtains in our room which let light in early morning. My husband likes a room to be pitch black, only a minor point though. Also the covers on the shower controls were missing which made it difficult to switch the shower on and off.

Staff were fantastic, evening and breakfast staff couldn't be more accommodating. We only had breakfast but the food was exceptional

We were in the annex and it's obvious the room has had previous damp issues that have been painted over and are showing through but very clean. Shower had great pressure but difficult to get a good temp rather than scolding or freezing. The old building could have been better sound proofed. I can confirm my neighbours had a fun evening.
