Loved the house itself, super gorgeous, we were met by our host who brought us to our room with a lovely blackcurrant jam sponge (Which was lovely by the way, compliments to the chef). The room had tea and coffee making facilities, a television with Freeview. The bed was great, I slept like a log, and the bathroom was lovely and clean with a nice hot powerful shower. Can't complain.

WiFi was a bit weak at times. But it's the countryside so it's to be expected

Lovely farmhouse, Louise and Angus were friendly and helpful, we had some great chats with Louise. Plenty of choice at breakfast, there was even a homemade cake in the bedroom when we arrived, lovely touch. Huge, thick and fluffy towels, and the bedding was so comfortable. Perfectly placed for the Beamish Museum, and the Angel of the North. We hope to go back one day, maybe with family, and book a cottage.

Absolutely nothing.

We appreciated the pre-arrival text to confirm our time of arrival. The room was excellent- lovely and clean- plenty of storage space- more than sufficient coffee and tea in the room- the bed was VERY comfortable. Breakfast was good and filling-- hosts were very friendly but not over-bearing. Close proximity to Beamish Museum and a very good Italian restaurant in the village. A very peaceful stay Thanks Louise and Angus

That we had to leave

There was a change in the arrangements on my arrival so I stayed off site at another family property. It was immaculate and magnificently set up. The only thing that was a slight hiccup was an issue with breakfast: I thought that I had breakfast included but didn't...however a quick drive to the shops for toast sorted that and getting it ready in the beautiful kitchen was a dream. Fresh home made sponge on arrival more than made up for it.

I prefer a low pillow...the very generous ones were a bit high for my neck!!

The hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to help us locate places of family history. It is a very comfortable and homely place to stay. The bed, huge fluffy towels, and the delicious cake on arrival were superb. The location is fab. Thank you to Louise and Angus

This is a very lived-in family farm, and whilst we were happy with that, some people might not be

Kitchen well equipped (we were self catering) with American fridge freezer - ideal for 5 guests and a Nespresso machine with capsules provided. Location ideal for our needs. Spacious and lovely there was a television in each bedroom for those wanting their own space. Loved the map on the coffee table. There were games, puzzles, DVDs but we didn't have time for those.

Lacked attention to deal - kicker boards broken or fell out. Stain on lounge ceiling. No pin in hinge of toilet door. 2 window stays broken or missing. Troughs not tended - weeds and a dead tree. Would have liked a chair in the bedroom which was otherwise very well appointed. Stair carpet could have done with a deep clean. None of this really impacted on our visit

Fully stocked kitchen with the added bonus of a delicious home cooked Victoria sponge cake on arrival. Very spacious living room and super comfy double bed with on suite bathroom with shower and separate bath.

Very small complaint the wi fi code in the apartment hand book didn't work but I admit I didn't ask the hosts about this as it was unimportant as I had very good mobile reception so used my own mobile data.

Big comfy armchairs. Good sized room - space to spread out. High beds with good mattresses. Good breakfast - set us up for the day. Helpful and informative host. Angus went to great lengths to make sure I got the wi-fi up and running. Beautiful surroundings. Very handy for Beamish.

Easy to find, fantastic and peaceful location. Ample parking space in the yard. Very friendly welcome and tour of the appartment, with spacious living room and kitchenette, King size bed, and bathroom equipped with both bath tub and shower! Access to Garden terrace with wonderful views over the fells and plenty of tourist info and advice for the immediate and surrounding areas. Also have to mention the very tasty, home-made Victoria Sponge welcome cake and fresh eggs waiting for us upon arrival. All in all, everything you could wish for, for a very peaceful and relaxing weekend away from the stress and bustle of modern life, but still with plenty of attractions and towns to visit (including Beamish), just a stones throw away.

Nothing I can think of! :)

We went without milk ect and the famous cake as we didn't get our welcome pack. I Mentioned it twice to the lady taking the money and she pretended to not hear me 🙁🫤🫤 She didn't speak to us at all the two days as she was on the phone to her daughter when we arrived, so she just waved us in. Rude .
