Park Farm is situated up a hill in a very rural area, yet only a ten minute easy drive to Gateshead. It is signposted Park Farm Hotel (which is lit up at night). We stayed in a mezzanine room, which was more like a studio flat! Welcome folder contained a wealth of information about the local area. Tastefully decorated room, with sofa, armchair and mini-fridge. Fresh milk was provided along with a selection of teabags/hot drink sachets/biscuits. Breakfast bags in horse trailer near the car park, with cereals/milk & toast/butter/marmalade also available, to make breakfast yourself. The large ensuite was downstairs off the seating area and spotlessly clean. Shower over bath and plenty of hot water. Hangers provided on a rail downstairs, but no bedroom storage/furniture apart from bed, chair and bedside tables. Room for luggage alongside the bed. The room was toasty warm. Very large comfortable bed. High ceiling in the sleeping area. Good window blinds and heavy curtains. Park Farm is in a blissfully quiet location. Very large parking area. Easy self check-in and out. Would highly recommend this accommodation.
A small coffee table in front of the sofa would be useful for eating/having drinks.

The room was clean and it had everything we needed overall. Very comfy bed! Good parking, lovely location. Cute little breakfast caravan where you sort your own breakfast out. Lovely seating area outside the room.
The power went off at 8am in the morning, this wasn’t just in the room because my sister could not make any toast in the breakfast caravan either. I emailed the hosts to tell them and didn’t get a response at all. We left early due to this. No face to face with staff as there was no one about. Maybe shouldn’t call it a B&B as I think that creates a wrong impression on what to expect. I also owed them £10 but there was no one about to pay this to before we left (reception was locked up).

Beautiful set up and loved the horse box idea Very nice layout inside very comfortable chairs
It was far too hot on the day we stayed , we could open the door whilst sat downstairs but upstairs in the bedroom was too hot to sleep and unfortunately no windows to open . Being hot in the living area was good , it’s only the design that makes the bedroom the hottest place in the house , doing it again I would turn the radiator down , when we landed we were in a rush as chk in was 4pm and we had a party to get to that went on until late so it was hindsight the day after

Interesting contactless checking-in system that worked well (text with room number - help yourself). Appreciated the complimentary breakfast pack and the trailer with a DIY microwave and toaster and all the required crockery & cutlery. Very comfortable room and a lovely quiet location. Good information pack. Good WiFi. Easy access to Beamish which was my reason for staying.
The access road is a narrow single track that needs negotiation with care around the bends and dips especially at commuting time when it's used as a rat run by some drivers with little imagination.

Comfy, clean and spacious maisonette and double rooms in a tranquil location. Ideal for a short stay with family and trips to Beamish/Durham/Newcastle. Kids really loved the DIY breakfast in the horse box and the friendly cat on the patio. We were pleased that they had an electric charge point. Sainsbury’s is just down the road if you need anything. We will definitely return here and will recommend to others! Great value.
Creaky doors and the keys and locks were a bit fiddly for the kids - these are very minor points! Fridge in room 5 was a bit noisy.

Rooms were well furnished and very comfortable. Nice touch having the fresh milk in the fridge. I had a mezzanine room which was very nice to have the downstairs space. My colleagues were also very happy with their rooms. Breakfast was a bag provided for each morning, juice, piece of fruit and a breakfast bar. Toast and porridge and top up coffee and tea was available on the breakfast trailer which was all really good. Staff were excellent, when we were looking for an iron and could not find one, we sent a message and very quickly one was provided. There is a lovely seating area in the courtyard area which had the weather been a bit better we would definitely have used. We really enjoyed our stay and all members of our party said they would be using it again next time we need to be in the area for work. We usually stay in the Washington area in a faceless chain hotel - we all agreed this was a much better option.
Nothing I can think of.

Great accommodation, a mezzanine (split level) room with a huge, comfortable bed on the upper level in a lovely quiet countryside location with a big car park yet only a few minutes from the A1 as it passes through Newcastle. Nice ensuite shower bathroom & small fridge in the room. Even though no cooked brekkie, hosts Emily & Neil offer a complimentary breakfast bag plus a quirky converted horsebox with a fridge, microwave, toaster, plates & utensils...fridge stocked with yoghurts & semi-skimmed, almond & soya milks plus bread for toast & extra coffee & tea over & above that provided in your room

This was a great place for an overnight stop on the way up to Scotland. Lovely spacious room with ensuite bathroom (with bath!) – beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. I didn't meet the hosts at all, but check-in instructions and directions were via text message and all went smoothly. The room was warm and peaceful and I slept really well. Great idea to have the breakfast bag with fresh fruit, croissant, cereal bar and juice, and loved visiting the 'breakfast trailer' in the morning to get some cereal and toast. Bedrooms are set around a pleasant courtyard setting which I can imagine would be a lovely place for an al fresco breakfast in warmer weather. It was good to have a small fridge in the room as well, which would be useful if you were staying for a few nights. I can't comment on the wider location as I was only really passing through, but it was handy for the main road.

Beautiful location, lovely rooms, a lot of attention to detail. Love the breakfast bags and the trailer with supplies, great idea. Such a quiet place with beautiful views over the city at night with a short walk. Close enough to civilisation by car but feels out of the way. Very good value as it wasn't much more than the premier inns in Newcastle but much nicer place to be for many reasons.
Not their fault and I noticed work to resurface the local roads is due soon but the roads there can be a little slender and require a lot of care. Not a criticism, more a little pre-warning for those who aren't used to country roads (I'm ok, I live in Norfolk!).

Really like staying here. This time I stayed in room 6 and was very comfortable. Only contact with the owner is by text message, receive a text during the arrival day to say which room and room is open with key inside room. There is an information pack in the room. Light breakfast is available in horse box outside. Large carpark and courtyard seating area. Ensuite bathroom was quite small with bath and shower over, plenty of hot water.
Considering the room rate everything was way above expectation.
