Overall the accommodation is very good. Initially I was disappointed that the kitchenette wasn't in the room but was a shared facility, as there was a picture of it in the room photos on booking.com. However the kitchen was well equipped except for the lack of a decent knife. My bedroom was spacious, comfortable and fairly newly decorated, and because it was at the back of the house it was very quiet with no road noise. Everything fairly clean apart from towels which looked as though they had been used for cleaning and were stained. The best part of this accommodation is the host, who is a lovely lady and went out of her way to ensure that I was comfortable, warm and had everything I needed. So you can forgive the little imperfections, and if you're looking for clean, decent and safe lodging then I recommend it.

Initial impression was that it was difficult to find and the immediate area was not particularly salubrious. However the warmth of the reception was good and the comfort level of the room was great. It was ideal for a short stopover but might disappoint if someone was using it as a holiday base. Externally it was not very appealing but the room was good and very clean. The proximity to local takeaways was really useful too. Kitchen facilities were basic but it was good to have access to these and a fridge in the room is a nice, helpful touch.

The location, as explained above and the fact that parking was not on site and could not be seen from venue.

The property was a great last minute booking for the Great North Run - a 15 minute bus ride into the city was ideal for us! Lidl across the road was super useful and the fridge in the room was a great addition we were not expecting! We were able to leave our car in the car park close by all weekend free of charge which was perfect!

Nothing that we didn’t like!

It was a nice room in a cottage tucked out the way so as to not be disturbed. This being said it was easy to find and the first time the staff met me at a landmark to guide me around. They were ready with suggestions for what to do and where to go as well as knowing about the transport. There was everything I could’ve needed there and all for a really good price.

A very comfortable and convenient guesthouse. There are some good restaurants nearby, particularly if you like Indian food. From my point of view, the guest kitchen is a real bonus, as it opens up additional possibilities for meals. (Takeaways, self-catering.) It's a bit tricky to find the guesthouse the first time you visit it, so pay close attention to the information that the (very helpful) owners send you. I'll definitely be back.

The location was perfect for where i was going My room was immaculate and each room has it’s own fridge which is brilliant I went with friends who stayed in another equally immaculate room and we found the communal kitchen with facilities to share takeaway together/chat after night out brilliant It’s a ten from Len 😃

Really helpful & pleasant lady arranged where to meet to check-in as the property isn't at first glance easy to find. Tea & coffee in the room with TV. Room was clean & the location was handy for buses to Gateshead Metro Centre & Newcastle.

The check-in times advertised on Booking.com do not match those which are advised by the property in the booking acknowledgement meaning I needed to completely alter my plans for the day in order to comply with the 6pm check-in time although the lady did very kindly allow for up to an hour later arrival if necessary.

I have just spent two nights there. I didn't explore the location around. We were on a wedding event. Room was spacious, a very comfortable bed. There were a kettle, coffee, tea. Shower was good as well. The host was very helpful leaving the keys for me as we came very late. Good Wi-Fi. Happy to stay in the hotel again.

You need to take a shampoo with you. The shower liquid, that was provided, not suitable for hair washing.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Well equiped kitchen Shops and take-aways nearby

The phone number given on the Booking page, as well as on their website "was not recognised" It took some effort but finally managed to contact them.

It was somewhere for us to put our heads down, no one bothered us, could come & go as we pleased.

Found it difficult sometimes to open front door with key. There was a wee smell in cottage, like windows hadn't been open in ages! Think it could do with a re-vamp.
