Fairly last minute booking. Just wanted a night away me and dog. Lovely pub set in beautiful village. Big inside with plenty of seating. Dog friendly all round and he was made very welcome. . Food was lovely fillet steak was amazing was half tempted to order a second. Nice bottle of wine all reasonably priced. As it was last minute they only had family size room left which was huge with separate lounge. Large walk in shower with the most powerful shower ever. Shame room was main road side but does go quiet at night. Nice breakfast also. Just what I wanted.

It's a shame the walls between rooms are so thin or not soundproofed. Could hear the next rooms text messages alarm and talking to well passed midnight. But other than that it's lovely and worth a visit.

Great location, good food, breakfast includes a continental and a cooked menu which is great, staff is friendly and accommodating, room is spacious and comfortable, well equipped to some extent although a mini fridge would have been nice to have in the room.

Cleanliness was lacking to an extent. Dusty bedside tables and other bits like the corner of the ceiling, the top of the TV, sheets had some marks and unfortunately, sound isolation is not the best. The stomping can be heard across multiple rooms, you can hear people snoring and talking (I know it's a quiet area and an old building) but just worth pointing out. Not a massive deal but for a light sleeper like me, meant I went to bed and woke up to whoever was above me.

The room was lovely and well equipped. Coffee machine and tea facilities are available in the room as well as bottled water. Parking was free and ample. The pub was clearly very popular, a good sign. We decided to have dinner in the downstairs pub, and were not disappointed. The portions were generous and cooked to perfection. The dinner was value for money. Breakfast was included in the price of our booking and was delicious. It included a cooked breakfast and a cold buffet. Will definitely visit again.

Although the room was lovely and comfortable, the mattress could do with replacing soon.

This little gem is a wonderful place to stay, on arrival the staff were fantastic, we had a slight problem with the booking as it was a last minute thing, but the staff sorted this with no problems. The room was great, clean and the facilities were very good, plenty of tea, coffee and milk, and when we asked for more, as we like our cups of teas, this was no problem at all, and we even got some fresh milk. The bed was very comfy, the ensuite bathroom was clean, and the shower was nice and big to move around in. The evening food we ordered was great, and we didn't have to wait too long for it, the food was hot and tasted great, compliments to the chef all the staff were very polite and were always at hand if you needed them. To the breakfast, what can we say, it is probably one of the best breakfasts we both have had, again compliments to the chef, again staff were great, and the offerings of the cereal and pastries were great, with fresh coffee and tea. The pub itself is a wonderful little gem and with the added bonus of great staff to make you feel welcome. When we are in the area again, we will be booking here again, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The staff were all very helpful and attentive. We travelled for a wedding nearby, and took three rooms for a couple of days. All three were very comfortable and well equipped. We all had the breakfasts, which had a wide selection and were tasty. Three of us also had dinner one evening, which was delicious. One of us has a milk intolerance, and the kitchen and serving staff were very helpful about that. Chiddingfold itself is a "classic" English village and the countryside roundabout is charming.

It was all fantastic. I cannot praise the staff more, they were fabulous and it really did feel like you were staying with friends. I had made an error with my booking and it wasnt a problem at all - they found us another room which by the way was superb. Bed was ultra comfortable. The pillows were perfect. The bathroom and shower facilities were execellent. And as for the food... great menue and fabulous quality . 10/10 all day long! We will be back!

Great location, easy parking. Spacious room with nice separate table to get ready, use laptop etc. super comfortable large bed and decent sized TV. Main bar and dining areas are great with different seating areas to choose from. Fantastic dinner and lovely breakfast.

Staff could have been a bit better, we were given menus but ended up going to the bar to order after some time. Shower in the room could’ve been better but these are minor niggles on a great place to stay.

Food was very good but the thing that made it was the very helpful staff who when they said they would do something did it and at all times had a friendly and helpful approach. A particular mention to the lady who managed the breakfasts.

Noise from rooms next door, above and whenever people entered the corridor on which my room was, whilst not detracting from my visit or excessive was noticeable similarly the plumbing could be noisy on occasion.

Location on foot wasn’t close to anything and the breakfast was horrendous, hard poached eggs and continental was one croissant, a yogurt and bruised apples. Also how can you justify charging £12.99 for a full English but also £12.99 for two badly poached eggs? Normally the price is indicative of what you are actually ordering but this breakfast was £12.99 no matter what you ordered!

Most of the staff were excellent, including the breakfast lady (Sue) and the young man on the bar. The bedrooms exceeded my expectations, they were suer comfortable and well furnished.

There was a young lady on bar and waitress duty who insisted on pursuing a loud personal conversation with her embarrassed and excellent colleague (at long distance) and even when I was being served by him.
