Your first point of contact is always extremely important and Dee did not disappoint. If the owner / manager reads this, hold onto this girl 10/10!! The room was quiet and well appointed. Nice toiletries, complimentary bottled water and was comfortable. The grounds and decor were very tasteful. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with regards to the food (service was another matter)

Not enough staff on the food and beverage side! This was my only negative. Wait times were pretty ridiculous. The gentleman serving breakfast was on his own and it was obviously far too many covers for one person to service. He was very nice though and apologetic about the delays. The waiting times for dinner and drink service was unfortunately very poor, which is a shame as the food quality was very good. I will return in the future, but hope that there will be more staff on duty in the food areas.

Large, modern cottage in the Cornwall countryside. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the bathroom was well-appointed, though more counter space would've been useful. The chairs were comfortable, and we liked the bluetooth radio -- nice touch. The on-site restaurant was decent, and breakfasts were tasty. The location right off the A30 was super convenient for exploring Cornwall, though there's not much to the town itself, so everywhere was a drive. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming!

I have had the pleasure of frequent stays at the Plume of Feathers pub in Mitchell, Cornwall, and I must say it is an exceptional place to stay. The pub itself is cozy and inviting, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed, providing all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. We always request a room with a Bathtub for extra luxury. The staff at the Plume of Feathers are always welcoming and attentive. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and are happy to assist with any requests or recommendations for local activities. The service is consistently excellent.

Breakfast is superb and perfectly prepared. Probably the best quality food in the area. The dinners were equally superb and reasonably priced. The Chefs here deserve credit for their consistency and quality, in fact, all the staff are brilliant!

At 15 degrees our room could have been a little warmer for the weather at the time of our visit, the heating control appeared not to be working in the room. The hotel's administration system appears to be a little shambolic, we received various conflicting email messages from the computer system in use after booking the hotel and also a table at the restaurant for 2 nights. We were able to clarify the situation by contacting reception direct. I think the problem is caused by an agency that manages the interface with the customers.

Faultless, spotless, sumptuous! FABULOUS! The room was very well appointed, huge and spacious, and the bed was ultra-comfortable. The food was delicious (homemade steak and kidney pie) and the breakfast hot and also delicious. Breakfast was included in the room, which considering the size of the portions is amazing. The staff could not have been more pleasant and welcoming. We shall most certainly visit this property again.

The hotel and restaurant were a bit rowdy, but you expect Christmas parties to be a bit noisy. When we asked if we could be moved to a quieter table, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were moved straight away.

The room was outstandingly furnished and resourced in looks, quality and comfort - everything was there and of the highest standard. Breakfast was perfect and we were served really quickly and at a lovely cosy table. Dinner was very nice , great quantity and hot and accomodated my dietary needs ( no shellfish in the pasta sauce) . The staff were all fabulous, attentive, knowledgable, pleasant, interested, hard working and got everything right. We met some of the domestic staff on Sunday morning and they were an equal credit to the team and establishment.

A very small matter of being seated in the conservatory for dinner where there was a large family party celebrating and it was quite noisy . We had booked dinner over a week in advance and it would have been perfect to have been seated somewhere quieter. But we moved afterwards to the bar to finish our drinks which was fine.

The staff were exceptional - very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding! Eggs florentine for breakfast was superb and a wonderful lunch shared with a friend (who was also very impressed) 😊 Having hired an electric car for my stay in Cornwall I was over the moon that there were complimentary charging points in the car park. Most grateful!

Sadly no nearby little shops if one was in need of a few snacks or chocolate - bring your own supplies! A few biscuits included with the lovely range of teas and coffee would have been enjoyably snaffled 😉

It has to be said that there was very little to complain about when it came to my stay, the staff were exceptional, the food was of a very high standard, and the room I stayed i was clean, large, and the fixtures & fittings were of a really high standard. I had my little dog with me and she was welcomed at every opportunity by the team which was really refreshing, and the owner (I believe) even came to see her at tea and gave her a treat. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would def stay there again if in the area.

To be honest, there's very little. One could be that there is no mention of the wifi other than in the restaurant, which was a little frustrating. But that was literally it.

Location central to visiting Padstow, the Eden Project and Falmouth. The property from the front was a lovely restored pub and as you walked further in there was a modern ( huge) conservatory/ dining area. Out back you meandered through arches, flowerbeds and pond to sympathetically built dwellings in cornishstone. These housed chic , tasteful, modern bedrooms with spotlessly clean shower room and toilet. The room had everything we needed for a four night stay. The staff were just lovely....do many smiles and so welcoming. Loved the fact that we came back and could eat good food and choose from a very good wine list. Also great vegan/ veggie options for breakfast and dinner.

I booked this hotel very last minute after dropping teens off at Boardmasters festival and didn’t feel like a long drive North. What a treat! I could not have been luckier in my find. Dee the receptionist could not have been more welcoming and helpful to me and my little dog. Super kind and lovely lady. Offered me a doggie bed and water bowls. Helped me with luggage and took me to my gorgeous room. The hotel itself is fabulous. Plenty of parking. Quiet situation surrounded by very well kept gardens and fields. Absolutely spotless and tasteful, spacious and modern decor. I ate in the bar on the evening and food was very good and nice atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble here. Everyone is friendly. Great breakfast choices and a sausage on a little silver plate for my spoiled pooch ! 11am check out means you’re not feeling rushed out. Would definitely love to return here. If wondering whether to book here do it - you’ll love every minute of your stay! Thank you so much Dee and team. You have a wonderful hotel.
