The room was fine with a good ensuite wet room.

Restaurant was closed.

The staff were really helpful and attentive. The place was very clean and their covid 19 precautions were excellent. Breakfast was really well managed and the food was good quality and there was an excellent range to choose from.

The lighting in the bedrooms needed to be brighter. There were lamps but they were quite dim and unless you sat under the tiny table light you couldn’t read comfortably. This is a personal comment due to sight problems and other people may not fell this way. Over the years we have stayed in lots of hotels with the same problem. There are always wall lights but rarely a central light in the bedrooms. Perhaps this is something all hotels should look at.

The room was adequate for what we wanted. It was clean and had the things we would expect to have in a room. A little far from reception and there was no Wifi available in this room no matter what we did. Breakfast was great. Lots of choice and plenty of it. it was kept well stocked up for the amount of people eating at that time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One member even booked my tickets for an attraction as I couldn't manage to do it. It is well situated to the motorway.

The fact we couldn't get WIFI no matter where we were. Not even in reception.

liked the buffett style breakfast. room was ideally situated for us to use the exits to take our 2 little dogs out the bed was comfortable

didnt like being charged twice you took the money on my card when we booked but on arrival i was ask to pay again i queried this but was told when i booked the card was for reference only and the money would only be taken now we have arrived on returning home my statement showed the money was taken twice i rang and spoke to sarah barker who was very helpful and full of apologies and assuered me she would refund the money straight away

I loved the room and shower , the room had tea and coffee making and lots of towels . There was an iron and board and lots of peace and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was very good for social distance you had to book, only 4 people in. The breakfast was so nice with lots if choices .I will definitely stay here again!

The restaurant was closed so we had to order take out, this was a bit disappointing but the reception desk staff were very helpful and gave us some take away numbers

Due to covid and not being able to go abroad we have decided to do short breaks at different places in the uk so this one we stayed at the holiday inn garthforth. It is 15-20minutes drive from xcape where we spent the day with the children. And just across the road was a Miller and Carter (wish I knew this before as I would have booked a table) We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel but we did go down to the bar for a ice bucket and glasses for wine in our room which they were more than happy to provide. We had an over night stay with breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children and went swimming for around £85 ish When we arrived the two gentlemen on main reception were so so friendly which was very refreshing, we have been places before where staff seem uptight but this was definitely not the case. We checked in quickly and then went down for a 30 min swim (we needed to book this 72hours before our stay) as the pool is split in half allowing 30min slots for up to 6 persons in each household due to covid. The guy on the gym and pool reception was really nice and explained everything to us clearly. The pool also had a steam and sauna. Male and female changing rooms (so I’m glad I split our children’s swimming things into two bags so one came with me and one with my husband) keys already in lockers so no need for change. Rooms clean and bed comfortable, we had a double bed and the children slept on the pull out sofa bed which was already set up. Nice hot shower and plenty of towels. Breakfast was lovely, not too busy had a good selection of cereals, juice, yogurts ,bread, fruit etc and the hot breakfast was nice, it was self buffet service but for hot food you just told them what you wanted and they plated it up in front of you. Staff at breakfast were friendly, approachable and attentive. Little Starbucks machine at entrance to hotel payable separately. Would definitely stay again. It was a nice little cheap getaway that was made even better by lovely staff.

The only thing I’d would say is Although the room had some sort of air con it wasn’t very cold and we did find it a little warm over night. There was a little fan in the cupboard but this didn’t blow much air out. I would 100% stay again but would take my own fan (but then again we sleep with a fan all year round)

On Saturday breakfast excellent, room nice and clean, room in car park, booking in great person

Friday night got back to hotel at 10pm, continual door banging in corridor until 3am!! Lumpy pillows on Sunday at 9.30 no bread for toast, no croissants, milk empty for cereals Bath over shower without wall grab rail, we thought we had booked room with stand alone shower Restaurant closed, this was explained on arrival

We have stayed in 4 and 5* star hotels UK and abroad so please take this review as seal of approval! Love this hotel, not much to look at in the way of architecture but as soon as you step inside it's Holiday Inn style and service wipe away any initial thoughts on outward appearance! Incredibly warm welcome on arrival, polite and helpful team in the restaurant, room service, COVID-19 compliance all excellent. Food was good, Moving Mountain Vegan Burger and fish and chips were sizeable, nachos (will opt for extra cheese next time!), sweet potato fries and calamari were delicious😋 great base to travel from, we stayed there so we could travel on to York Designer Outlet during our stay. We'll done Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth, you're a credit to the iHG chain!

If I had to critique anything it would be the pillows, not very comfortable and the aircon didn't blow cold enough and it has been a warm weekend.

We stayed in August 2021 and were really pleasantly surprised at the hotel and the facilities. From first view it’s not the prettiest of hotels but is modern and well looked after inside. We stayed in an executive room with 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast was good although on our final morning the two hard working staff members were under staffed but were doing fantastically considering. I would definitely stay again.

Room clean and cleaned every day. Breakfast excellent although at the beginning of the week low on staffing and food supply. Bed comfortable, we did request two single beds as we are used to a super king size bed however the double bed was spacious enough. The leisure facilities were well organised for COVID. The staffing very efficient, friendly and accomodating. Excellent!!!
