The location is absolutely fantastic - you are surrounded by beautiful scenery and a multitude of walks. The Kings head is one of 3 village pubs, it was nice to pay them all a visit. The barmaid Donna needs a special shout out - clearly rushed off her feet with it being scarecrow weekend, but could not help enough. What a star! The food here was great, we had an evening meal then breakfast - all locally sourced produce that made it delicious.

We started in the Charles 1 room, whilst it was extremely spacious and lovely at first glace, there are some area's that need to be addressed. The bathroom needs a deep clean - shower cubicle orange stains and grime around the sink tap handles, small things that just take some elbow grease.. it's very off-putting and feels uncleaned. We did however have a comfortable night's sleep - the bedding is plush and the sound of the stream outside is totally relaxing (we opted to keep the windows open but you could close)

The room was very comfortable on-suite bathroom very nice views and the food was great and the ales were what I would expect from yorkshire and the owners were very welcoming and did all they could for us having only been running the place for four days + even though they didn't have tea and coffee making facilities in the room because previous owners took all the kettles they still went out of there way to make Mr and my tea and coffee anytime we wanted

There was only two spaces for parking outside the pub so you had to walk to the all day car park

Extremely kind and helpful couple who own and run the business. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs. We stayed in the King Edward room last night (25th August) which had a lovely view of the church and gardens and the surrounding hills. Breakfast is cooked by the owner and was absolutely exceptional -Egg's Florentine 👌 We will definitely be returning. Fanatic stay

Lighting wasn't great in the room (very bright) - could do with having a dimmer switch for the main light

The pub seems to have newly reopened, and this was actually our first time there although we often visit Kettlewell. The rooms are vey nice, obviously newly decorated, and breakfast was very well cooked and tasty.

Staff seemed under great pressure (owners doing all the work themselves), as there had been problems in the kitchen with the new fittings. Think these are teething issues and the pub will do vey well, especially given the quality of the food.

We had a wonderful stay a few weeks ago. The pubs is cosy and characterful with a lovely log fire. The room was cute, clean and comfortable, the food (both evening and breakfast) was fantastic and the hosts Emma and Kevin were really friendly and welcoming, lovely to sit and have a chat with. They’d only been running the place for a few weeks but we’re sure it will be a huge success based on our stay. we’ll definitely return.

Fantastic location, close to some beautiful walks. Very welcoming host. The room was cosy and comfy. We had a stream running outside our window, which was lovely to hear. Delicious breakfast cooked to order, we stayed on the only evening they didn't serve food, but the owner/host was happy to recommend somewhere down the road. Would definitely come back again for a longer visit.

We were made welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. We were shown to our rooms and offered help to take our luggage up the stairs. The bedrooms we chose had en suite facilities, they were clean, comfortable and contained everything we needed. We decided to stay for dinner and enjoyed an excellent roast dinner. Breakfast was also super. Parking is available outside the hotel.

No complaints.

Beautiful part of the world, quaint village. Excellent food and good selection of beers Great walks from the village

Church bell ringing every 15 minutes all through the night No parking at property, had to pay for parking at public car park although this was only a 5 minute walk away Narrow country lanes to get to village (although it was worth it!)

A beautiful village with great scenery and walks. The pub/hotel was fab' and the staff really made me feel welcome. Great location and handy reach of other amenities.

Nearby parking is restrictive but to be expected in such a lovely village. It would be handy to mention additional parking is located a short walk away.
