We spent Christmas at the hotel and from the moment we arrived were met with a warm welcome. The service at this hotel is exceptional, the food superb, everything obviously freshly sourced and cooked. Great breakfast with good choices and sensible portions. The staff were so friendly and helpful and worked tirelessly all through to offer the best service. Would highly recommend this hotel as a place to relax and feel looked after and of course the location is great too.
Our room was a bit small for a 4 night stay and could have done with a chest of drawers to be able to unpack and not have suitcases on the floor as the room was small. However, the bed was very comfortable and standard of cleanliness high.

It's a beautiful building in a prime position opposite a lovely park, a stone's throw from the Abbey and the Queen's Hall. Contemporary and individually designed, subtle interiors with pleasing details, textures and fabrics. A very good vibe around the clock whether for breakfast, coffee, cocktails or dining. Obviously popular with locals as well as hotel guests. The dining and bar areas have a relaxed and mellow, but stylish feel. Our room was beautifully decorated, very generously sized with a good seating area with a sofa and armchair, and views towards the Abbey. The lift is quiet, shiny and new, the stair carpet also looks immaculate. A brilliant short stay, will definitely be back.
Nothing!

Faultless hotel - staff professional and friendly, our room was very large and very well decorated/furnished. Bar area had a lovely atmosphere, so a perfect place to finish up after an evening out. Great value overall.
Bedroom doors are all 'slam' close - I understand why this is the preferred locking mechanism, but it is not a great alarm call at 06.30 in the morning when people start to leave their rooms. Not a problem unique to this hotel, so not a complaint really. Also extractor fan in bathroom next door was quite loud and, for some reason, they felt it OK to leave the light (not an issue) and fan (definitely an issue) on all night. Wonder if fan could be better insulated/dampened for sound. Small worries against what was an excellent stay

Hotel was in an excellent central location in Hexham and easy access to the town & places to eat & visit. A few minutes walk to the bus station, you can catch the bus AD122, which will take you to various stops along Hadrians Wall . Highly recommend this as you can see amazing views while on the bus! A visit to Housesteads & Vindolanda is a must. You can walk along Hadrians Wall at Housesteads...amazing! Hotel room was immaculately clean & very quiet despite the hotel being very busy & a wedding being held there. All staff were very friendly, helpful & were always busy making sure everyone was looked after. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked & a great choice of buffet items. Room was very good value for money & exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommend!
Mattress was a bit hard for us. A softer one is just our personal preference., although we still slept fine. The bed was always made up with lovely fresh bedding . Limited parking at hotel but we had no problem finding parking out the front of the hotel with parking disc.

The Beaumont is well located to walk into the town and the Abbey (we were lucky enough to see the stunning tapestry exhibition). Lovely room with very comfortable , large bed, luxurious toiletries and great shower. We only had breakfast which was good for me as I don't like a cooked breakfast. The full English was maybe a bit small for my husband. We didn't eat dinner as the menu was not to our taste and very expensive. There are some great places to eat in the town.
I think we were over the kitchen so got some noise very late on Sunday night but otherwise no complaints.

The room was lovely, just the right size for what we needed. There was hot running water from the shower and complimentary tea and coffee in the room. The room was lovely and warm, although did get a bit hot at times, but then I’d rather have a warm room than a cold one. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Excellent location.
The temperature of the room did get a little hot, even with the window open, if possible just needs dropping down a few degrees but I understand it’s not always possible with old buildings. This did not detract from my enjoyment of the hotel though.

A well known and lovely old property in the centre of town that has been modernised to a very high standard. Our room (31) was on the top floor so quieter than a lower floor. The bed was comfy and the room was clean, spacious. Dinner was excellent, the food top notch with good choice and variety and obviously cooked to order. We ate on a wonderful summer’s evening with the french windows opened into the restaurant giving a very continental feel vibe. Great value for our room which was also upgraded with Genius level but we thought that breakfast was overpriced at £17.50 each. What made the hotel extra special though was the service and staff -we received a great Northumbrian welcome that was friendly and efficient without being pretentious. Hexham has had a revival in recent years And now has plenty of things happening and local shops, cafes and restaurants all within easy walking distance of the Beaumont Hotel and it is worth strolling around the town to see some beautiful and historic architecture. It is also a great base for exploring the villages and countryside of Northumberland, Cumberland and the Durham Dales plus Hadrian's Wall of course. To experience the real Northumberland, drive up into the Pennines to Allendale, Allenheads then into the Durham Dales to Rookhope and Blanchland- this is countryside far away from the tourist route, it's wild and open with big skies and so quiet. Best not to attempt this in bad weather or in wintery conditions.
all was good

Very central to town. Lovely hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms Staff very helpful and attentive
Very small car park to the rear. Thankfully we got a space on the first day but then didn’t want to move until we left 3 days later. There is free parking but town very busy and different car parks have different amount of hours you can stay. Roadworks in the town meant diversions in place ( not the hotel’s fault of course) but beware as we move into the summer months. If you can’t get parked it’s around in circles I’m afraid.

Really friendly welcome and all the staff were great, despite it being a very busy Saturday night. As usual we had an excellent evening meal - wonderful food and a teal treat. It's a great location in the centre of the town. One of my favourite hotels.
People need to be aware that parking can be an issue as it's on-street and restricted Mon-Sat. The hotel can help with a parking disc. Only slight moan was that the breakfast hollandaise was split (which is a real exception as everything else was (and always is) great).

Lovely room. Spacious with crisp linen and nice furnishings. Great mattress. Good lively restaurant and bar. Helpful staff quickly changed my room to a double rather than a twin.
There was no information in the room about the hotel or on how to control the heating and my room was a little cooler than I like although once under the duvet I was fine. Some small annoying things like no hooks in the shower room for towels near the shower cubicle, no shelf by the basin for toiletries and sloping sides to the basin surround so everything rolls off! The TV was on a parallel wall to the bed so awkward to watch in bed.
