Staff were brilliant - and so very friendly. Restaurant staff and bar staff were very helpful - despite being a bit stretched. To be honest, not having visited for decades, we found the same attitude wherever we went in Liverpool. Location was very convenient and it was easy to find good places to eat. Room was a good size and kept very clean. Room service happy to supply any items we wanted. Bed comfortable and the room was very quiet. Good shower with full range of toiletries (placed a little high if you were in the bath). Food was good.

Access to car park from the Queensway Mersey Tunnel was a little tricky as you have to turn right almost immediately after leaving the tunnel. This is genuinely the only bad thing I can say about the hotel - and wife tells me it's because I wasn't paying attention. I suppose I could complain about the weather but we are in England: there's plenty of indoor activities nearby to keep you dry.

Great hotel, located on Albert Docks. Easy to drive to and loads of parking available ( £18 per day ). Staff were always pleasant, polite and accommodating. Rooms clean and spacious for a city hotel. Hotel and Lobby were always clean too. Good choice of breakfast and always plenty of it. We didn't dine in the restaurant as we wanted to eat out so I cannot comment on that, but most nights it was pretty empty, which may say something?

I always begrudge paying for parking at a hotel, i believe it should be part of the service they offer. Also you had to book the pool facilities and that was a pain as you couldn't be impromptu and just have a dip

Staff were really friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and cleaned to a very high standard. The sauna and steam room are nice and the gym is well equipped for a hotel gym.

The pool is too small - anymore than four people using the pool and you're unable to comfortably do lengths. The male changing rooms are also tiny. Various things didn't work very well either. There was a lift that wouldn't open on the second floor, the roof in the lobby leaked extensively when it rained, etc. These aren't massive issues, but with the price charged you would expect things to be right.

The bed was very comfortable and the towels were soft and fluffy. I had a delicious pina colada cocktail. Also liked the fact that the hotel was so close to the ferry port.

There were 2 bottles of sparkling water in the room. I rang reception to ask if we could exchange them for still water (we don't like sparkling water). I was transferred to another department where I got an ansafone. I left a message but 4 hours later on returning to our room the sparkling water was still there. I had to take the water down to reception to get it changed. The only bread at breakfast was processed white or brown sliced bread. No rolls of any description. I expected better from a 4 star hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crown Plaza Liverpool and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and excellent customer service. The room was spacious, clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable and provided me with a good night's sleep. The bathroom was also clean and had all the necessary toiletries. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring Liverpool. It was within walking distance to many of the city's main attractions and there were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast buffet. There was a wide variety of options available, from cooked breakfast items to pastries and fruits. Everything was fresh and delicious. Overall, I highly recommend the Crown Plaza Liverpool for anyone visiting the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was comfortable and the location was perfect. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Liverpool.

Breakfast was great - lots of choice. Lovely room with a good view (though with a drawback - see below) Very helpful staff. Particular shoutout to the doorman who was a real treasure.

Loud noise from downstairs at night - a corporate event which was just below my room. Booming music and karaoke - plus a guy on a very loud mic who really loved the sound of his own voice. I didn't. It was louder than the TV in my room. Event was due to on until midnight - on a Thursday. Though fortunately it ended at 11 - but was still too loud for too long. I was very glad I didn't have an early start.

Great location, great entrance area, staff were friendly and helpful, hotel room was clean and sufficient

Bathroom door needs replacing, room 221. We were made to believe that the parking would be validated to reduce the cost. We made sure to validate it every time we went out. However we were charged £26 on our final bill!! If it had been explained properly, we would not have used the car during our stay, friends and family would have picked and dropped us off. Check-in staff should explain this clearly and be explicit about costs for parking.

Has to be the quietest hotel room I have ever slept in and being ex cabin crew I have spent a lot of nights in hotels!! All is look for in a hotel is a good, comfortable bed, quiet room and cleanliness. The Crown Plaza more than delivered on each of these categories so well done and thank you. Location was also 10/10. Food was excellent (had both room service and breakfast) and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely return and recommend the hotel to others.

The car park spaces on the left hand side and in front of the hotel are far too small!! Car is likely to be damaged if left there. I moved mine when I discovered the spaces at the other side of the hotel (right hand side near the road) were much wider.

The staff were all very nice and helpful especially the door man. He was always willing to help and give advice. Food and drinks were nice. Cocktails a bit expensive but very good. I would definitely recommend this Hotel and would return again.

The shower in the bath. I've had a hip operation and found it difficult getting in and out of the bath. I did mention my predicament a number of weeks before hand but hotel said that they had no rooms with 'walk in showers. I think this is supposed to be a four star hotel so would have expected that they would have some. Also then the shower itself was not that powerful.

Excellent location, flexible and helpful staff, gym and swimming pool were brilliant, room service was a welcome touch, bar was good, with good opening and closing times. It was nice to be able to get a drink until 0130hrs. TV was good, with good channels. The view was brilliant. Parking was very handy as some hotels don't offer it. Breakfast in bed was a nice touch.

1) It would have been better to have an adjustable shower (height). 2) Some of the complimentary drinks were missing. 3) The table was slightly damaged on the top in room 436. 4) It would have been handy to have some information leaflets detailing local area and events. 5) Bathroom hand tissues were not fully stocked, meaning there was only four in there. 6) Bathroom bath and shower a little dated.
