I’m usually a hotel snob and go for a boutique type hotel but decided to try the Dolby to take advantage of the free parking and glad I did. You can leave your car parked up even before and after you check on and out. The hotel was conveniently located for the centre of Liverpool (10 min walk) the room and bathroom were a little on the snug side but were spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate, we also had a great view of the waterfront. Staff were really polite and helpful. Breakfast was great too. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would hesitate to stay again and to recommend.

Definitely liked the location of the hotel, being near water, close to the Exhibition Centre and with an easy walk to the docks and shopping centre. I also appreciated being able to check in earlier than expected, and having enough time to check out. I also liked the quality of the breakfast, though it wasn't easy to get to the cooked food items.
I don't recall there being any mention of the absence of a lift before booking. Of course I was allocated a top floor room, but I was able to get my belongings there. Having breakfast wasn't too pleasant, but it was more to do with the other guests (making a mess). The staff seemed to take their time clearing tables.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were very good, varied and plentiful. We were provided with a ground floor room, as I'd requested with views of the Mersey as a bonus! The small double bed was adequate. Pleasant (though not large) seating area, with wide screen TV, and a well stocked bar, with good prices. A pleasant outside terrace overlooking the Mersey, with good views towards the historic Docks area. The free parking was right outside, and very convenient. The cleaning staff kept the room spotless. All in all a very well priced and well run hotel.
As my wife has a painful knee, it was an uncomfortable walk to the centre, and back, although we did do this several times. Surprisingly there is no regular bus service from near the hotel, but this is clearly outside the hotel' control. Taxis were not too dear - around a fiver. If mobility is not a problem, then this one thing we didn't like can be totally discounted.

I phoned ahead to ask if it was ok to park at the hotel prior to check in, to be able to visit city centre, it was nice to get a quick answer that we could( pop in to reception to register car) which saved cost of parking elsewhere and moving car etc. Every member of staff we spoke with was really nice. The hotel was very clean and tidy, room was clean and set up well. We added breakfast which was good value.Staff were helpful and always on the move with clearing away and replenishing the food items. This was an excellent stay, for value for money in really well located hotel, free parking gives a great saving on pay parking in city centre. Happy to recommend to others and would use again.
Nothing.

Liked everything about Dolby the staff was friendly. The room was clean we could see dock so lovely too see rowing going on .Breakfast was lovely I'm vegetarian they even did some sausage especially for me which was amazing. Free parking too as most hotels in Liverpool you have to pay felt it was great value with breakfast. Felt comfortable and relaxed. Would definitely come back to this hotel 😀 would have expectional but no air conditioning and the step to the bathroom let it down .Remember it's a 2 star hotel. Worth every penny 😀
It didn't have a lift but the guy at the reception offered to help I didn't mind as I knew before it didn't have a lift .No air conditioning and I knew this before so mum and me already brought our own fans just in case which we did used .My mum didn't like the step to go up to the bathroom she thought she trip but she didn't. Felt the room was a nice size for one person .Also with food in the evening as I'm a vegetarian the only thing they had was chickpea curry which I really don't like .I was really hungry so I ended up with a chicken burger :/.I didn't realise the soup of the day they had vegetarian ones I would have that my fault for not asking but a bit tired from driving. But they where good when I had vegetarian sausages for breakfast

Perfect location, Free parking , Breakfast was plentiful, Rooms really clean. Staff friendly & helpful. Everything was spot on and we would definitely stay here again as we have found a little gem 💎
If I was to say anything it would be about the assessable room given to my Sister with her husband in a wheelchair. There was no walk in shower it was a bath with a shower in it, there was a heavy fire door inbetween main door and sleeping area and she has to wedge it open with her case to get the wheelchair through into the bedroom. It was fine for them for one night but anymore they would of have struggled.

All staff were friendly and helpful free parking and was told that we could leave our car in the car park for the day after checking out Good location for most of the tourist attractions We requested a river view and that's what we got and very happy but be warned if good weather the sun is shining in these rooms most of the day and they get hot but we were able to leave the window open at night and if a problem with noise they supply ear plugs but we had no need for them Breakfast very good Some reviews mention the small bathroom but we found it fine it's a wet room with the floor all sealed so no need to use the shower curtain
We eat there 3 nights but not much to choose from but plenty of places to eat with in ten minutes walk We were on holiday and on the way to Scotland for 7 days so had a big heavy case and was on the second floor and there is no lift but we were offered help but the wife said that he will be ok🙄

The staff on the desk were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were clean, and we had a view of the docks after being asked to be moved from the road side. They happily accommodated this. The dinner was lovely and it was a comfortable stay. The beds are doubles so if you aren't used to that then prepare yourself for a cosy night lol! There were toiletries available in the bathroom , fresh towels and a kettle, biscuits and a choice of drinks. The room was a bit small but for one night for 2 people it was perfectly fine, plenty of space to put your things, a mirror, hairdryer and table and chair. The free parking really is a bonus, there ample spaces and your parking voucher is valid all day the next day. Great!!
The only thing that let it down was the shower was a little small I was banging my elbows on the wall and getting hugged by the shower curtain lol! Also the housekeeping staff were very loud at 8am, which when you want a lay in as check out isn't till 11am is very annoying. We don't get lay ins due to having a 3 and 2 year old at home so wanted to take advantage of the late checkout but unfortunalty got woken up by them shouting to eachother down he corridor asking for bedsheets etc

Chosen for the location for what we had planned but was convenient for other attractions in Liverpool. Within walking distance of different places of interest. Staff during our stay were excellent. Room was very clean and had a pleasant view of the river. We did not have Breakfast. With free parking included, great value for money. Would stay again.
Our bathroom was one of the pod type so was quite small and felt a bit caravan like. However, it was spotlessly clean and fully functional so was not a problem and did not detract from our enjoyable overnight stay.

Free parking and in a convenient location. Could walk into town. Staff helpful and friendly.
Room described as having a seating area but one bent plywood chair at the table? Not a seating area.Plus the smallest shelf with the tea, coffee etc on. Also no proper spoons, just thin wooden stirrers. Bathroom smaller than you get in a caravan. But clean and the bed comfortable. So okay for 2,3 nights at most. Nowhere to put your bag or suitcase. Only a short rack sticking out from the wall with 6 hangers on for clothing.
