the location is excellent for our annual Christmas shopping trip …parking onsite is great as well and so far always managed to get a space .. There’s a good restaurant on site and the breakfast is good with lots of choice… all staff very friendly and helpful .

The twin room is rather basic … would have been nice to have more than two teabags provided…no information booklet in room .. the room smelt quite strongly of curry ..bathroom had mould on tiles and was in need of a deep clean .

Breakfast was good and the reception staff and breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient . The Liner is very conveniently situated for the train to Liverpool and you can easily walk into the City centre and Albert docks from there

The bathroom was on the small side especially for getting into the bath and the grab handle on the bath wasn't secured very well . When we got back to our room after breakfast on Wednesday morning the room card for the lights was missing & I asked the young girl who was cleaning the rooms where it was & she wasn't very helpful so I went to see the reception staff who dealt with it efficiently and promptly issuing us with a new set of room cards

location to station was brilliant. most off the staff were helpful. breakfast was good but very slow to be served at the cooked breakfast selection as only one member of staff on to serve it we thought would be much quicker if customers were able to help their selves as many hotels we've been to do this.& as a result the que is a lot quicker to go down. everywhere in hotel is spotless. only thing we didn't like was everywhere was far to warm. their was a fan in the room but you couldn't keep on for long as the sound coming of it was like a Gatling gun so very noisy & their wasn't much air coming in from window as for safety reasons didn't open very far. so trying to sleep was a nightmare.

the rooms being cooler & self service at the cooked breakfast

The location is fab. 5 mins walk from Lime St Station and easily within reach of everywhere else by foot, taxi, bus or train. The staff were lovely and so helpful, especially when my friend was taken ill and spent a day in bed. Hotel restaurant is good value and very welcoming.

Bedside lights were working intermittently, and although we reported it immediately, this wasn't fixed, and they stopped working completely. Our window wouldn't shut fully. Again, this wasn't remedied. Also, I asked for a blanket as I'd been cold during the night. I was told there weren't any available.

Right next to the train station which was excellent and brilliantly situated for all the attractions. The renowned Walker art gallery is literally 5 mins away on foot as is the superb St George Hall. Albert Docks were a 15 mins walk. The maritime theme of the hotel is great. I had a twin room with my son and it was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. We had clean towels every day and there were coffee and tea facilities in the room. The staff were very friendly, very welcoming, polite and professional :-) Breakfast was very good, ( welcome lady was excellent), copious and there was a good choice. We also ate in as we had walked so much on all 3 days and the dinners on offer at the hotel restaurant were very good. We really enjoyed it and the service was very good indeed. The only negative, they got my bill wrong every time so, do keep an eye out. I was over charged each time but I am always very careful with such things.

Unfortunately our room was onto the train station side and we were constantly woken up by the incredibly loud announcements. We were woken up 3 nights in a row late in the evening and in the mornings when the announcements started again from 530am!!!! We really wanted to move rooms but were told the hotel was busy! This needs to be sorted! Felt exhausted during our entire stay. Visiting with little sleep is not the best! Advice to travellers, ask for a non station facing room!

Very comfortable and clean hotel. The room was nice and spacious with everything we needed for our stay. The bathtub, free bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. The hotel is located next to the Liverpool Limestreet train station, walking distance from all the sights. Friendly staff.

Close proximity to the train station makes it pretty noisy at night. Also there are many, very loud seagulls flying around, but it was bearable with the window shut. There is a pretty steep walkup to the hotel, which was pretty tiresome with heavy suitcases, but there is a shortcut through the train station. Loud guests next door, who kept walking up and down the corridor talking very loudly several times during the night.

Location just yards for Theatre where show was on. Room Great, quiet location with windows open all night. breakfast great but would be easier self service.

No air conditioning during a really hot spell. An industrial fan was provided but too strong and noisy for the size of the room. Thanks for the thought but overkill meant we had to turn tv way up and could not leave the fan on overnight as too noisy. We couldn't neven think of bathing or showering under these circumstances. Supposed to be 24hour reception but had to join a lady to queue who had been waiting for some 10 minutes already to check in. I found someone to help, standing, apparently doing nothing, in the luggage room.

The location is great & staff more than helpful. The breakfast is 3 course & absolutely fabulous. The bar is lovely & well equipped & hotel is very clean throughout. Our room was cleaned every day with clean towels as well & the cleaners were very accommodating & thorough.

Have been coming to this hotel for years now & its the 1st time that we have experienced it being so hot in the room & not being able to open the window very much at all, only about an inch so could not let any cool air in & we had a fan in the room but did not make much difference so had to lie on top the bed every night. No air conditioning. Also the cocktails were very watery this time so we didnt bother with them. They really need to sort the windows out to be able to open them more.

The room was light and airy, very clean and tidy. Plenty of space for us. The Bed was just right and gave us a very pleasant night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and had everything you would expect. Located right next to the train station so ideal for those travelling by train, and there is a carpark next to the hotel. Close enough to walk to see the attractions but far enough away from noisy bars. Breakfast is buffet style, with an excellent range of food. All the staff were very polite and considerate, nothing was too much trouble. We had an excellent stay at the Liner and will return.

There could have had plug sockets beside the bed.

The location was superb and we were able to leave our suitcases in reception so we could go out for the day. The staff were really friendly, the hotel was clean and quiet and the room of a good size. I liked the fact that there was bath as well as a shower. Breakfast was good and the service was excellent.

It was rather hot in the room and there was no thermostat and the window only opened a tiny bit. There was an electric fan though which we used. The plug socket near the kettle seemed to get rather hot so we didn’t use it. I thought that the nautical theme could have been extended into the rooms a bit more. We overlooked Lime Street station and could hear the train announcements quite early in the morning - but we did have the window open.
