Few hundred metres from the underground & less from the entrance to Hyde Park. Food (breakfast & dinner) was lovely, big breakfast buffet & the dinner menu was very price reasonable & tasty. We had a family room which was very spacious. It was ideal for what we wanted in terms of price & location.

Very pleasant and clean hotel. Friendly and v professional. Much nicer than I expected considering the price. The room next door was very noisy and reception dealt with them swiftly so I slept well. The hotel is about a 10-12 minute uphill walk from Paddington, so if you have heavy luggage then best to go to one of the small tube stations nearby.

The location of the hotel is good and near the metro. There are supermarkets and restaurants near too. The breakfast is simple but good.

The shower heats up a lot without anyone touching it, and at some moments it is possible to hear other people walking in the upper floor.

Two Underground stations really next door to the hotel is outstanding. The borough of the hotel is another quite positive point to be mentioned. Having Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park so nearby has enhanced a lot our stay. We have loved this! The breakfast was very diversified and good. The restaurant is also good and handy , especially after so much walking around the lovely city of London! Last but not least, the relation cost versus benefit was decisive for our choice of this hotel.

Not having a frigo bar in the room is a very negative point. Although I guess that this is a cultural aspect, once all hotel we have looked up did not provide this item as well. We love drinking really cold water and beverages in general upon our return to the hotel and also having room to keep fresh any kind of food we buy during our leisure time is really important.

The hotel absolutely met our expectations for a city hotel - it is situated like 150 m away from Hyde park, bus and metro stations. London Paddington station is at no more than a 10 min walk from the hotel. We could easily reach every sightseeing spot in the city. The neighbourhood is calm, quiet and safe. There are small shops and very nice reastaurants nearby. The triple room was of a decent size as well as the bathroom. The staff were very helpful, the cleaning ladies changed the towels every day as well as the entire linen on the 4th day. The breakfast was good enough in variery and quality to start our busy tourist day. :)

It is obvious that the hotel needs some refurbishment and renovation - both inside and out. However, that was not a negative point for us and we absolutely loved our stay.

The breakfast was extremely good, a good choice of cereal, croissants and plentiful options of hot food. The member of staff managing the service remained smiley throughout despite how very busy it was.The staff serving coffee and clearing the tables were pleasant and efficient.

The evening meal service was at times poor. The staff tried their best but having just two staff to man the restaurant and bar..and having limited cover when one of these two had a break.. was ridiculous. I over heard another guest liken it to Fawlty Towers... which, whilst true, was unfair on the over stressed staff members. Whilst the food prices weren't high the quality wasn't that special either, rather 'wet' lasagne, slightly rubbery chicken with the indifferent chips. Not unpleasant but not too appealing, so we made the decision to eat out.The choice of good local eateries in the immediate area meant the decision was a no brainer. (Sadly we found similar issues when we stayed last year)

The location, across the street from Hyde Park is both lively and convenient. Three tide stops within a five minute walk and busses right on Bayswater. Everything was clean, safe, and the staff was wonderful. We did have a problem with the diverter valve in our shower and it was fixed immediately. Breakfast is well-appointed. Loads of pubs and even the coolest self-service laundromat/dry cleaners/deli five minutes from the hotel for those extended travelers. 100% will return to stay here again

There is an elevator but there are stairs on each floor that make moving luggage a challenge

We had a delightful room on the top floor. It was clean, large enough for the two of us. I was traveling with my daughter and we had twin beds which I had not slept on since my youth, but they were comfortable. We were on the street facing side of the hotel, but this is not a busy street, so it was quiet during the night. The full English breakfast was not disappointing. Coffee was great and there was plenty available. Each night, we ended the day with a drink, in the bar. Prices were good. The hotel was in a great location. The bus stop was a very short walk away and the tube stop was only a little farther. I would not hesitate to recommend this to someone.

The only recommendation I could make would be a light over the sink which would make it better for putting on your make up.
